the fourth release on the serialism imprint comes from itzo, a london duo consisting of one english (half of guy noir on resopal) and one spanish. the result is a brilliant mix of techno influenced minimal funk, stylish, cool and always groovy. the whole ep has a very refined sound that offers some delightful melodies all the way through, combined with big fat rhythmic structures that just force you to dance all the time. a delightful and original ep

whats the secret of making a dance floor explode? if youd like to learn just open christian burkhardts contemporary box and look whats inside: at a first glance, it seems that it doesnt contain a lot, except for 3 dance tools. but once on the turntable you may discover the whole secret of this release. what seems to be so simple is a complex construct of percussive elements and basslines that are being arranged just in the right way. contemporary box finds it s peak without even having one, just by grooving on and on, monotonously, with jumping sticks and a pushing bassline. maison noir moves a little more to the housier side and is being carried by warm chords as well as by effective percussions. phey boom brings in a certain coolness and carries that great release home

played by: karotte, mathias kaden, sebo k, stefan goldmann... franklins early musical roots began with a taiwan drumset and a hohner organ. after some training years under the influence of metal, jazz, 70sprog/rock and live perfomances as a versatile drummer his transition to electronic music began with an amiga 500 computer. the trackermusic of this machine lead him to the early techno music of the 90s and early production experiments in his fathers home studio. first releases followed in 1995 to 96 on the label fusion records (w/ 303 nation member, patrick vauillaume). later he released as tichy on various frankfurt techno labels until at the end of the 90s his search for inspiration brought him to a very experimental production phase without the 4 to the floor presetting. from this he developed his distinctive trademark sound with straight grooves and frisky sound design. meanwhile franklin was gaining more international recognition with releases on well-known labels such as trapez ltd, karmarouge noir, einmaleins musik and treibstoff. his singles entered the charts of the german groove magazine, german dance charts and the charts of djs worldwide. after his last release on resopal red he is coming up with his debut on leena music.

this ep compile the great original track from spektre and included 2 amazing remixes from the upcoming german star marc depulse (ostwind, kiddaz fm, playmate) and the english kanio aka ed kane (ufo, stereo 7, noir music).
