slam city jams is back with its second release, produced by young brussel based artist kassett. this multi-talented dude not only makes great music, but also does visual arts (look at that amazing fanzine coming with the record) and has his own label & artist collective called midlife. kassett aka gavin vanælst isn’t about genres, but about emotions when it comes to his music. however, asking him what he would call the sound he makes, his simple answer is: rave ambient. the all i feel 1 million ep‘ is a record full of diversity. it reaches from emotional and dreamy, arp-based ambient tracks with rave and trance references, to broken beats, weird synth solos, up to a rough but melodious techno tune. finally the cherry on top of this special ep, is a remix by lobster theremin regular imre kiss. he delivered a dark and dubby version of the a2, that sounds like it was recorded underwater.

malka tuti presents its first label collaboration, this time with the italian roccadisco, and label bosses ed rodion and hugo sanchez. ed and hugo (aka alien alien) are no strangers to pitched down sexy dancefloor tunes. with previous releases on slow motion records they ve made a name for themselves as sexy bastards. with perfidia they present the vocalist igino, a friend from home. together they ve boiled a slow burning, constantly evolving song for the late late hours. on the remix for the a-side malka tuti present a collaboration of 2 disco legends ray mang and severino panzetta, that add a medditerranian flavour to the original tune, easing things up... on the b-side we have another slow burner with bella l estate, joined by a top remix by tel avivian prodigy naduve.

pl007 is the beginning of a duo with praymond and thomas murphy. it all started by setting up a temporary music studio in an old farm made of stones in the french countryside during the heat wave of summer 2016 in france first, plug a microphone and start recording a couple of dry leafs crunched with gentle hands and mixed with the sound of ice cubes tingling at the bottom of a pastis glass add to this some brushes played on a newspaper and fingers banging on the edge of a kalimba, then finally, build around with your drum machines and analog synths. the result is a classy brand a alternative minimal techno, mixing acoustic rhythmics and relentless swing. none of the tracks were designed for massive big room type techno with big drops and never ending build ups but more for human size bounding experiences and never ending after partys. both slow burning tracks have in common a introspective quality, specially les cailloux but both tracks remain solar in essence.cadillac has a more gold tooth & chains attitude to it and could remind the listener (if he ever had the experience) of being on the run in a get away car, stepping on the gas, crossing the desert with an open roof top after robbing our dear financial institutions

minimalistic art sublabel, 0000, kicks things off with scribble acid, an ep from man at the top, brayan valenzuela. title track scribble acid is a mixture of acid sounds and saturated kicks combined to create an industrial techno line. 0000 differs, highlighting the simpler sound of acid. error makes use of metallic percussion to devastating effect but is lined with pauses in all the right places to allow you to breathe.
