following his recent release on the see double va, rising talent josh baker finds a home once again on luca cazal and brigante’s imprint with his explore ep. original fuse london resident rich nxt is also onboard to deliver an elevating remix. first supported by romanian master barac, title track explore is a surefire weapon for the dancefloor. jaxn’s breathy vocals effortlessly complement the peak-time bass and glistening hi-hats. on the b-side, rich nxt adds a funkier bassline and light keys for his rework of the title track. the ep closes with black lines, a more formidable number with baker employing darker elements into his production. the talented producer explains “ after receiving some exceptional vocals from jaxn, ‘explore’ wrote itself. i wanted to create a real peak-time song, one suited for all spaces and i’m happy to see it get consistently road-tested at dc10. ‘black lines’ is a moodier acid track that i feel compliments ‘explore’ massively.” since the tender age of 16, josh baker s passion and enthusiasm for house music has grown from strength to strength. the young manchester producer also curates his own successful night, you&me, which has since gone on to take place in leeds, newcastle and ibiza. his musical output has garnered support from big names such as apollonia, richy ahmed, ben rau and rich nxt

spring has finally landed and we have the perfect soundtrack for those long sunny afternoon in the park. we are glad to present explorer of the humankind for his first release with us. starting with stars in her eyes, a gentle track where the lyon newcomer use his voice as well as real drums for a smooth listening-experience. following in the same vein but a touch more upbeat is just a tool, a more playful funk-inspired piece. closing the a-side, share the love takes the tempo a bit higher and and shifts toward more club-friendly territories, houses goodness. turn that disc and get awake for i know, a disco-edit piece with trace of french heritage and filter action. lastly, deep inside takes us into a gentle profound dreamy state, moving more on the inside than with the feet.

for the first release on girasole records we introduce you to william caycedo from amsterdam. the first track dreamcatcher is a real deep but banging house track with a heavy bassline and it lets you fly away. return to free side has this slow vibes but there is always changing something untill the end. departure is all about that bassline and that sexy percussion. scapegoat is just a monster on the b-side.

midgar is finally reaching the 10th release with mdg008, a rich ensemble of live jams, adapted to the vinyl format by ambient specialist shaded explorer. the record opens with the bleeping saucer emerald weapon, activating hyperspace mode as the sidereal ambiances take over in the middle of the track. skyward follows up with thunderous kicks, adding consistency to the groove but keeping focus on windy atmospheres. the slow-builder shaded gems reset the pace on the b-side, where the italian artist fully express the solemnity of the machines. underwood ends the record with natural textures: a sonic representation of mother nature waking up the forests using bright pads and perpetual chirping.

i walk around in the solar field. from here, the surrounding beams look like cylinder­thick, motionless rain or comet tails painted onto the sky. the tower is all white because the sunrays are pointing directly at it, white in an erased way, like if you leave an empty patch on a drawing, and surrounded by a halo. i go over to one of the sun mirrors. it’s huge and darkish and cold when i touch it. i don’t know if it’s cold and immune to the sun or transfixed in a much more extreme way than the desert. a solar plant can take much more sunlight. it has direct access, like a clip through into the thing outside. the widest zone, like the highest point when it’s lightning. the sunlight is magnetic. intense heat from the mantle pushing against the crust to get closer to the sun.

a third release for the year from deep explorer extends the invitation to allstarr motomusic, aka zurich based producer and deepartsounds founder daniel piu. under his given name, piu has form for house productions dating back to the late 90s but seems newly reinvigorated following the decision to start working as allstarr motomusic, with beauty & simplicity following a fine contribution to the minuendo label. the three original allstarr motomusic exude an old school feeling no doubt developed by years of record collecting and are augmented by a fine remix from anthony nicholson.
