filth & splendour are cuasing a bit of a stir at the moment. with their >hot pick< release on cr2 & puerto banus ep, on berwick st, both released last month, kicking up a flurry of intrest in these guys.

chris is very happy that his long term friend adam beyer from sweden, who runs the drumcode and truesoul labels (as most of you may know), has contribute to the 10 year anniversary label compilation. chris said >he managed to give me an amazing track that i have already been playing up and down since probably the beginning of last summer<. you have to know that most of these tracks have been collected over a period of at least the last six months. this one from adam is called >antistius< not only is chris out for having international artists on this compilation but also his home base in frankfurt equally has some amazing artists to offer. this track on the b-side is by clr artist and mastering engineer brian sanhaji who has also recently released his album on the label. his contribution to 10 years of clr is pretty phat. this one is called >higgs< and chris had already been playing it, all over the place, with amazing responses.

that juan maclean is just a bundle of contradictions. here he has created one of the years best mix cds — and not just a proper party mix, which it certainly is, but even what you might call an important mix, a timely lesson in the enduring spirit of house music — and how does he choose to describe the process of putting it together? as an >existential tailspin<.

the new minimalrome series for clubbers in sick-leave! the hacker known for his classic releases with miss kittin comes with a new track called -haunted- which is a kraftwerk, dopplereffekt inspired electro track, with an 808 punching pattern counterpointing a deep analogue bassline enveloped in rich, harmonic pads. on the b side, a remix by feedback remix who delivers a solid acid electro techno work out as we know of some lory d and early passarani works. the second remix is the banda banetti remix (a new minimalrome project) with pulsating acid lines and fast paced hautning techno electro beats. get those strobe lights flashin!! mrx records are sadly limited to 250 copies

bvdub and sofie loizou are two passioned artists who have a special collaboration on this southern outpost offshoot! sofie loizou is at the forefront of the electronic music scene in australia and brock van wey (bvdub)is one of america s most prolific electronical artists known for his excellent deep house and dubby techno releases! the ep is evocative and wistful, enveloping the listener in a dream state. the two made an equisite piece of lush ambient techno with vocals of the polish natalia grosiak (produced by polish sound artist dawid szczesny). the combination of natalia s enchanting vocals and exquisite textural sound beds creates a sublime experience of blissful melancholy. this is a highly limited run of only 200 copies... yeah we know.. it s crazy to have a bvdub collaboration this limited... but its just a fun project of southern outpost and friends! don t sleep
