italians do it better owner/traveling dj salesman/heavy record collector mike simonetti takes an edit to three very obscure 90s house tracks. we were able to recognize the a-side with some help. the track was altered significantly and intro extends and builds and builds and builds... the two tracks on the b-side sound like 90s japanese piano house and a happy house rave track flipped on 33 but to be honest, we have no idea what they are.

2010 repress !!! it seems that tevo comes out of nothing delivering some house tracks that are as hot as they can get! as a teenager tevo was brought up in chicago during the haydays of house music. and there is no doubt that this left a deep impression on him! this record is another stomper with 5 basic tracks that have that same magic as early house records from the 80s! his first release on bgr was already picked up by several hot international djs and this one might even be better! great great record!

anybody never heard of moullinex? we can t imagine. blogs, music mags and dj s have been getting mad about the digitalfunk of luis clara gomes - better known as moullinex. and all this with only one official release! (breakchops ep 2009). the remix for two door cinema club (kitsune) has been a real club hit and his sebastien tellier remix was the one that had been most featured on playlists (along with a–trak s remix). yes: the remix for cut copy on modular was a bomb, too and his telonius remix is currently playlisted all around. guess that s the reason why so many labels have been chasing moullinex to sign on them. some have been really pushing him hard to join their roster, but luis preferred to stay with his munich buddies at gomma. and so now it is sure: this new moullinex ep is only the beginning of a whole series for gomma records.

a made up sound bringing house for the emotionally unstable on 003. drunkenly swaggering along, the punchy discofied-bass-clap-whatever ‘alarm’ is owned by a pair of synth stabs that got out of bed with the wrong foot first. after an almost clowny breakdown, moody pads soon make clear this track ain’t funny at all... ‘crisis’ on the b-side is all about restraint. thick house-not-house beats and a thumping acid bassline move on and on while a vacuum cleaner blues and hazy will-o-the-wisp-like strings slowly creep under the skin. those who like it nice and shiny better think twice... killer twelve!

nice price deal !!! 8 years after his first vinyl release georg levin can already be described as a long-time yet unlikely member of berlins electronic music scene. with both his solo project and his production outfit wahoo he is definitely too much on the soulful side to be a typical representative of the techno and rock sound the city is known for. however, it may be this supposedly alien surrounding that gives his compositions and productions a distinctive blend. to his credit georg also had a no.1 on traxsource in late 2009 as a precursor to the release of this, his second album album and debut for bbe.

revys music is strange. there really is no better way to put it. having grown up in the pacific northwest usa before moving to tokyo, the influence and contrast of nature and technology are made clear in his mesmerizing pieces. his sound is one that is complicated, rapidly revolving between themes which are at times serious, beautiful, strong and others almost comical and ridiculous. each track encompasses such an emotional gamut that they themselves seem to be intelligent entities.

the latest release from relish recordings is from label boss headman. private show is the 2nd single from the upcoming headman album 1923. the synth filled dancefloor jam is the culmination of old school manhead with the modern headman trademarks - heavier basslines and big drums. the track features vocal great steve mason (man behind betaband/blackaffair/kingbiscuittime) who has set a somewhat deviant mood to the track with some smooth vocals, making this a track better to listen to rather than read about. private show also comes with remixes from relish new-comers tape to tape, who have come through with a two part remix of the track as well as a remix from gommas telonius

italian musician, sound designer and dj based in venice, where he fights a reckless war against his winged neighbours: the infamous pigeons of st. marks square, who sometimes try to sabotage williams already unstable vintage synths. bottins sound is a blend of seventies disco, early eighties electro, italian giallo movies atmospheres and can be roughly defined as horror disco. among his collaborations: stevie kotey (chicken lips, bear funk), makossa & megablast, richard dorfmeister... bottin already released on bear funk, italians do it better, and after his contribution to the cosmic balearic beats vol. 1 compilation, this is his real 12 inch debut for eskimo.
