part 1 of 5 to be released over the coming couple of months. originally released on the phono label in 1995/96 the ‘parts’ series from matthew herbert are a much loved collection of house tracks that sound just as original and bold today as they did when they were first released. this series of 12”s were part of an early wave of exploratory dance music that paved the way for the deep house that still works its magic on dance-floors in 2018 some 25 years later. the mix of herbert’s playfulness alongside expertly grooving production and unusual sounds makes this unique collection of work. the odd few tracks aside this is the first time that these releases have ever been repressed. all newly remastered for this reissue series, the releases include stone cold club classics such as ‘deeper’, ‘take me back’, ‘resident’, ‘people that make the music’ and ‘see you on monday’.

the new release of sies, inspired by intimate events, is suitable for small and large rooms. available in green vinyl only, limited pressing. the tracks have hard kicks and new, more underground, sounds, which make the listener travel, the power is master, the sounds are avant-garde, aggressive. the first track presents the sensations that can be experienced during a particular event such as raves, referring to both annoying and respectful people that might be met. the following piece gives the title to this project, the predominant sounds are violent, inspired by the vibrations that can be heard on the dance floor. the third song has a mystical mark, definable psychedelic, and allows who listens to go into the unknown. the last track is more experimental than the previous ones, has ghostly sounds and a powerful and a thrilling bass. suitable for both overture and outro of a party.

2022 repress - the kid called kapote is our new favorite man on the toy tonics camp.. :) coming up with his first own ep. including a dancefloorfunk-remix by his berlin mates from session victim. kapote is doing house music, but influenced by rare funk and soul music. or better said: by the mid 1990ies wave of filter house and the french touch. he likes the black american scene around paul johnson or the tracks on detroits red planet label (the martian!!). but also french people like la funk mob, g-ilbert, early super discount stuff.. the days when it was all about finding the ultra rare, but ultra effective samples and using it in a clever and very musical way. creating a new groove, something that flows with a big bunch of soul. kapote does this… and he has the old vinyls and he has the right machines to make them swing in a new way. check out kapote.

repress , strong contender for dance record of the year- red rack’em’s incredibly wonderful and fantastically wonky, disco banger, was rereleased on classic this year. after a few months of slowly embedding itself in people subconscious, it returns with new mixes. first up in the marvellously talented kink - strahil is no stranger to classic, having made a stamp on the label many years ago with his remix 3rd face. he s gone from strength to strength with his productions which have been accompanied by his glorious live performances. kink goes in, heads down with some proper techno wonk. this is indeed a beast. on the flip luke solomon joins forces with bristol’s very own eats everything and lord leopard, creating a bristol “circle of three.” the luke eats leopard edit adds a slight bit of conformity to the drums and the arrangement, without taking out too much of the wonk but taking it ever so slightly into “house “ territory. overall this is a monstrously wonky package - and just in time for xmas too.
