sugardaddy are a uk electronic music duo formed in 2006 and is the musical brainchild of tom findlay (one half of groove armada) and singer song writer tim hutton (hybrid, groove armada, way out west) “hypnotise- has an altogether late 80 s heavy, low slung, boogie vibe, caressed with beautifully haunting yet soulful vocals. greg wilson remixes an extended rework, holding the vibe of the original and effortlessly extending certain aspects of the groove, creating a 9 minute dancefloor monster! situation are next up with a late night, deep house dub interpretation which builds to a discoesque guitar licked, infectious, yet hypnotic bombshell bittersuite finish the release with a chunky funk fuelled version, full of slap bass and a bucketful of soaring, atmospheric synths, cleverly weaving those wonderful vocals and building to an electro jazz funk masterpiece.
julian sanza and andre espeut, are two very familiar names in the scene. julian, who hails from argentinian/cuban roots and andre with his french/caribbean heritage, come together to merge electronic dance, modern funk, soul and boogie, creating their own unique melting pot of goodness! there s something distinctly anthemic about perfect system . low slung, synthed up funk, with a house tinge driven by those sweet soulful vocal harmonies - sure to get stuck in your head for days. opolopo opens up the e.p. adding his trademark disco remix magic touch to the original - upping the tempo, laying a shuffling beat behind, pumping up the bassline and getting spiritual on the keys. on the flip the situation remix channels the inner improv funk, keeping the vocals to choice snippets before the sare havlicek dub rounds the e.p. off reworking the bass synth to the point where it exudes the sleaze. this is the first in a series of collaborations between these two… keep those eyes peeled!

brs were a uk house outfit who released between 2000-2008 on their own imprint friends & families & on many other labels including 2020 vision, cyclo & imperial dub - the group comprised of rob evans, ben vacara & mr mulatto (the 2x latter now members of the situation collective). lovin me was first released on a brs ep on imperial dub recordings back in 2000. in its original format the 12- included the original mix, dubtribe sound system remix and a bonus track bouncing. situationism are delighted to re-release the incredible full length dubtribe soundsystem remix again on limited vinyl. this remix became a classic, appearing on numerous compilations including groove armada s another late night and ministry of sounds chillout sessions 2004 to name but a few. included on this limited vinyl run will be 2x new remixes from italian deep house, motorbike duo harley & muscle & the also the lovely bittersuite, both delivering quality mixes. all brought to you in time for those long summer evenings!
