the german boogie compilation “boogie on the mainline” presents a selection of 10 rare disco tracks from germany plus one more tune from austria, all of them, originally released between 1980 and 1987. check! . the fully licenced album contains little known tunes by groups like imagination (which you can also see on the cover of the lp), squish, upstairs, the poptown syndicate and more. as the boogie-ish post-disco side of german music history still basically remains undiscovered as of yet, “boogie on the mainline” hopefully will shed some light again on 11 rare gems that were mainly published on small or private labels. the album is released on loudly pressed double vinyl with gatefold jacket on the new artless cuckoo sister label boogie on the mainline records. it includes extensive liner notes by compiler john raincoatman aka dj scientist.

were back with the second jack cassettes series! following the success of the first jack series, weve decided to pull heavyweights out of the treasure trove of chicago reel to reels acquired by still music last year. this second series is another incredible glance into our beloved house music through some lost radio mixes salvaged from reel to reels by jerome derradji. we start with a superb one hour mix from frankie knuckles circa 1986 and dive straight to the hot mix 5 with edward get down crosby and his insane mixes, full of edits and original beat traxx. a small detour to miami is made with a killer electro mix by wgci guest joe magic. pull out the tape deck, move the furniture away and jack!

this is already our seventh deep love compilation and we dare to say our most complete yet in sound and flow. the ten pieces on this sampler blend in perfectly with that laid back late summer mood. we are very pleased to welcome yet again some new acts to dirt crew with the likes of jaxx madicine, ouer, times are ruff and s3a. we cross many borders not only in genres but also country wise. from the heavy disco sampled jam by french producer s3a to the jazz and funk laden epos of the italian 3 piece jaxx madicine over to the dutch deep house boys times are ruff who are well known from their, same named, label and finally to the berlin duo ouer who also run an own label and released with our good friends at heist recordings, delivering an ecstatic electronic floating tune here. this is all completed by some excellence from long time dirt crew artists. 25 places have been with us for many years now and their two eps have gotten so much love from the deeper deep house community. here they drop an epic almost idm techno like tune that closes this great album in the best possible way. our icelandic stall wart felix leifur drops a heavy hitter named buster. after his recent bobby donny ep earlier this year we are thrilled to have him back on dirt crew! harry wolfman and ponty mython need no introduction really, they are adding electro/ disco/ electronica fuelled cuts that form a great middle part to this mix of tunes. harry going in very smooth and relaxed, something else than his usual house workout which we really loved to present to you

variable is the first compilation on pi electronics, which also kicks off the new catalogue peva. this various artists release includes the works of several artists involved in the label till now, along with some very familiar faces to pi that have been supporting the parties in the past years. the aim was to bring the main label roster - artists with original music on pi, such as jk flesh, ontal and damcase - under the same roof as artists that have been with the pi electronics project since its early days: the label s party residents, 3.14, nemmett and das along with other fellow athenians, unhuman, bmsk and the project “i am legion, for we are many”. the outcome will be available in cd, vinyl and digital format, while the vinyl sampler will feature jk flesh, ontal, nemmett and bmsk.

since so many european labels have been reissuing lost and obscure 1980s japanese ambient albums of late, it was probably inevitable that at least one label would put together a compilation paying tribute to the sound. it turns out that jazzy couscous has won the race with kumo no moko, a superb double album that does a terrific job in putting japan s 80s ambient scene in context. as you d expect, the majority of the tracks feature either dreamy electronic sounds or a mixture of acoustic and electronic instrumentation, with nods to jazz coming thick and fast. there are naturally a couple of fairly well-known names on show, but for the most part the compilers have done a terrific job in highlight lesser-known tracks from unsung heroes.

welcoming a vibrant selection of artists to the label, rube goldberg series presents volume three. the music, intricately complex in its creation ultimately performs a simple task, much like the machines of the late r. goldberg.

tabernacle aren t as known for their reissue work, but here they ve made an exception to shine a light on a truly astounding hidden gem lost in the dry ice haze of the early 90s. phuture classical appendix a originally came out on cassette in 1992 on drome tapes in the netherlands, showcasing a low key selection of artists exploring the limits of deep, dark techno and house. now spread across three 12inch releases, these treasured curios now get the widespread release they deserve, leading in with the haunting self-titled track from paradize disowned before the gritty techno throb of gee lee by dj zero one. considered in their execution and immensely evocative of the underbelly of early rave culture, these releases are ones that discerning old-skool heads will not want to miss.

extending from the abstract and varied sound worlds exposed in the alien jams radio show and guest mixes, nervous system responds to evoked feelings of unease and anxiety, anatomical complexities, signalling networks and political uncertainty, nervous system is the first compilation to be released on alien jams and brings together tracks by rosen, xname, acolytes & alohbe, foql, rkss, ondness and recsund.
