amazing record! tip! steyoyoke is a new berin-based house label and its first release is the three track >if i were music< ep by im fine (marco perschon & alexander grafenauer) and antonio olivieri. im fine are a production outfit who first met at berlins music engineering school, sae, and have since gone on to establish a tight working relationship and are currently working on a debut album reflecting their jazz, house and techno influences. antonio olivieri is italian born but now resides in berlin and has developed a firm reputation via releases for silicone souls darkroom dubs and lustundfreude, amongst others.

tony bennett, born in 1926, was raised in new york city and scored his first number one hit in 1951. he became very successful with his repertoire of popular music, standards, show tunes, and jazz.
>the movie song album< is a 1966 studio album that consists of songs from films, opening with the theme from the oscar. bennett described the album in his autobiography as his all time favorite record. among the arranger and conductors were none other than neal hefti and quincy jones.

the four tracks featured on this ep are all previously unreleased and were produced in london by graham dee between 1967 and 1969.

whether on his own or with nick hoppner as my my lee jones has been djing and making music for more than a decade. in 2008 jones released his debut full-length lp “electronic frank” on aus music. his solo releases and remixes have appeared on labels such as aus music, ostgut ton, liebe*detail and cityfox and last year, he did his first ever mix cd for the world famous watergate club. next up from the talented producer is a futuristic 4-tracker on aus, incl 2 remixes from george fitzgerald and midland. for the lead track moment, jones offers up a bass driven house number that hints at his jazz roots whilst pushing forward into garage territory. for the remix, george fitzgerald delivers his most straight up, heads down house production to date. next up is duvel, a characteristically quirky jones production, bouncy and deep all at once but with a bass line that will hold its own at peak time. midland steps up for the remix, twisting it into a moody multi-genre convergence like only he can.

cobblestone jazz are back after the highly successful memories ep with their second installment in the series. on the a side, we find the spaced-out zero-gravity jam lunar lander - its sparse and jittery beats complimented by some sweet key stabs and a thick and burly analogue bassline. flip it over for your life (you re life) - an uptempo slugfest of crunchy beats and a driving bassline that wont quit. as always, both tunes were recorded live in studio and have been culled and edited for your mixing pleasure (a side duties performed by tyger dhula while the flip was done by danuel tate). stay tuned for the next installment, and, until then, enjoy!

duets ii is another collection of american songbook standards performed in the best of ways. it includes collaborations with the best voices of music: aretha franklin, natalie cole, norah jones and k.d. lang grace the recording booth with this legendary singer.
but it is the tragic and premature passing of amy winehouse that makes this album truly special, her appearance on the duet >body and soul< is the last known recording of the british songbird, and it is a truly heartrending version of the 1930 jazz classic. if this isnt grammy material, we dont know what is!

ruede hagelstein wants it all, and not just that jazz. the berlin producer, known for his productions that straddle the boundary between house on techno, released on labels like souvenir and upon you records, will release his debut album soft pack together with his band, the noblettes on november 18, 2011. a priori is the first track on the indie-electronic lp, and cannot claim itself free from jazz influences. with piano, a horn section, and brushed snares, the track swings with the best of them. since ruedes vocals also require something a little more dancefloor-friendly, this digital appetizer will be served up with a remix from the man himself. the vinyl will follow with remixes from guillaume & the coutu dumonts, noir and tiefschwarz.
