after the fittingly excellent 30th release from markatonio, analytic trail waste no time in delivering their next release, this time coming from scottish producer hans bouffmyhre. the paisley based artist has graced perc trax, harthouse and jochim speiths affin with his releases in the past and his production continues to garner support from a wide and revered array of djs. someone im not boldly kicks off the ep with a dark but grooved-out edge which will please fans of his previous work for perc trax wintery, late night and uncompromising techno. bermuda tool follows and pushes further into the darker territories of techno with a lazy pace providing counterpoint to a tapestry of moody effects. self punishment ramps up the energy but keeps the sinister, mechanical vibes of its counterparts while final cut planet deception closes proceedings with a drum focused workout with some killer yet simple snare work.

jackoff records is back with two excellent trax from berlins local hero oliver deutschmann. deutschmann is a regular figure behind the decks at panorama bar and also runs two labels, vidab and falkplatz, which have been making waves in the techno scene for some time now. for jackoff records, deutschmann has produced some of his most sexy house music to date but never forgetting his signature groove that no dance floor can resist. adding to the great package our friend, detroit s very own patrice scott, delivers a swirling remix full of emotion in true sistrum style. enjoy!

aspekt strikes back with their actually release. the new great 4 track ep >good things< by mike wall & ixel, contrast itself with a great and special minimal sound. >inicio< on side a sounds tempting and mysterious, minimal-house with a touch of deep. the remix by alex q & match hoffman is an excellent deephouse number mixed with minimal accents, which animate to dance. with >undromeada< and its marcio kantana remix the listener can expect great tech-house with playful melodic sounds with which you cant sit still to. awesome record for the dancefloors!

echolettes second release manzanillo 002, follows up with a similar tropical -journey feeling- as felt on echolettes first release, perhaps setting the style for this excellent new label. whereas before it was pygmys and bongos, this time manzanillo has a distinctly more mexican, if not aztec vibe. the original mix kicks off with steady galloping horse like drums and percussion, which is suddenly met by a lovely melodic bassline, which again is doubled up with what sounds like a xylophone. just as your wondering where its all going, a wicked little riff with delayed minimal vocal slices enter the mix keeping the groove going on and on forever and ever... another brilliant and quality piece of music from jackie misfit

miguel is a new man on the block from czech republic, playing techno along with progressive and anything with a groove. here he presents a great idea along with sky flowers, 2 very sexy slower techno tracks that ooze quality. to accompany this great idea of tracks yin yang asked 2 of its more established remixers - mikatech (dj mika) from the former yugoslavia, well known for his hard groove tracks, mika is now making a huge name for himself with a slower but very sexy techno sound. vincent mallvile the parisian that does not hold no punches. french techno, yes please! vinny boy has also done the deeds with his remix. again another excellent package of techno from yin yang. will fit in any techno djs collection. be it from warm up to end of set (if you play the slower sound of tech). played by cristian varela, pedro delgardo, paco osuna, anderson noise, jermome baker, trevor rockliffe, lars klein, wyrus, scott project, dj felipe, mark sherry, ruslan mays, vortechtral, reaky, dastin, roman zawodny + lots more!

cynosure starts off 2011 with a killer collaboration project of label head mike shannon and one of berlins hottest young producers david dewalta. dewalta has been recording for years for the likes of vakant and meander records. no stranger to working with mike having already collaborated on the surrender ep on haunt music. the first effort together proved that the two producers make an excellent combination.

what needs to be said about move d? overused, though the veteran tag is, david moufang has been producing excellent music for many, many years. yet, the last few have seen him receive particular acclaim, especially for his more house-flavoured work - buoyed by his increased reputation as a dj... already played by ricardo villalobos

to kick off 2011 vakant presents romanian rising stars livio and roby, the first new artists to join the label since 2008. after cutting their teeth on some of the biggest labels and world stages, livio & roby impart their excellent deep funk laden grooves on their first record for the perfectionist house of vakant.

after the big succes of hi tech booty, we searched for some really special guys out there to put hand on ahmets bomb. well here it is. a1 comes from maetrik which was a strong desire of ahmet and for sure an excellent choice. he totally brings in his own style while getting a little bit closer to the darkside of the track. a2 is a special collab between rainer, which we know from the last regular stock5 record together with cesare vs disorder and viudez, a mexican guy that seems to have a very nice influence to the production style. the vocal is very present but placed, arranged and transformed geniously. for sure a weapon! b1 is written by our special friend chris sylvester aka inxec. starting with a very housy groove, it falls quickly into a hypnotic mood that is unique in inxec productions. he really knows what the dancefloor requires and for this we are very happy to have him again in our release roster. b2 presents a very new and fresh artist called rico casazza. he interprets the track in a very detroit way, works verz little with the vocal but hits it very perfectly for the sense of the track. after this debut on our imprint you can be sure to hear more of this young guy in the next time!!!

fof kick off 2011 with a nod to the past in the form of justin drake (peace division) and kevin griffiths- (tsuba) -the devil-s eyes-, a deliciously grimy jackin- groove, coming on like a low slung mid 90s house production a la schatrax. we enlisted the talents of christopher rau for the first remix. as many of you know christopher has had an impressive 2010 culminating in his critically acclaimed lp -asper clouds- for the always excellent smallville label. chris cleverly uses elements of the original, intertwined them into an altogether quirkier, more optimistic deep house groove with a definite injection of -fun-: to round off the package, new talent bleak takes the reigns, providing a peak time techno stomper. bleak-s debut single will be released on hamburg imprint -sudden drop- sometime in early 2011 and promises to mark bleak out as a name to look out for.

excellent mysterious release, a secret weapon with hypnotic flavours

simoncino (aka nick anthony) from italian super edit label no more hits crosses the atlantic and finds a new home with on the prowls sub-label party breaks. what immediately stands out upon first listen is the production style, not being able to tell what is a sample and what has been replayed… much like tensnakes mega hit. the simoncino sound is firmly rooted in proto-house and 80s r&b. with ingredients like ancient drum machines, arpeggiated melodies, and cheap 80s pads, his concoction boils over with a certain cheekiness that makes listeners grin from ear to ear. all four tracks are subtle hits in their own right. excellent ep!

>mr nice< features snippets of howard marks which are interlaced with clattering breakbeats and booming sub bass. while we are sure howard would approve of a late night after party session, for many this will be the soundtrack to what happens before they leave the club! label boss steppa and his co-producer kitcha provide an excellent aa side which harks back to the classic formation records era. splicing in cheeky samples lifted from anthems of old and twisting them into something brand new, this one is just as fearsome on the dancefloor.
