klangkeller records, recognized for modular sound experiments, catchy beats and percussive rhythms, has done it again with audiokerns third release a personal way ep. the ep delves into experimental, abstract and electronica grounds. audiokerns sounds are stimulated by the external world and their atmosphere, with a drop of the basic essence of electronic dance music. these 8 tracks are certainly a confirmation of it. uncanny valleys live drum is fresh and magnetic alongside dissimilar jingles and swishes which positively balance. wired system is abstract, with a dark added vocal at the end which brands it as a powerful track. differently, under the same sun is entirely melodic, with beautiful dreamy waves that genuinely make you touch the sun. it continues with the night of glory. its duskier moodier vibrations and a few words add an exciting and dark temper that still fits purely within the ep. element of trance and hypnotic place are all about bringing the listener into another dimension. it alienates and hypnotizes you from reality through the quantity of small alterations and sub kicks within the sound. to conclude, dont forget the animals is mysteriously percussive, its like different animal roars assorted together, its gorgeously confusing.

out 2 is a project from jeremy campbell and r. zanzibar, who have previously worked together on albums for l.i.e.s. and lectric sands under different aliases. they sound right at home on emotional response, channeling the influence of 1980s new york dancefloor hybridization into six original tracks and their counterpart dub versions. its an impeccable tribute to the forefathers of new / no / minimal wave with the right kind of funk rubbed in the groove and ample space in the mix for all the live dubbing the style demands. moving is a surefire death disco party starter, dancing hovers in a beyond the grave island boogie reverie and some airs red there heads out into exotically enhanced territory without losing that nyc grit. it s a marvelous record, with the dub versions adding new dimensions to the music rather than simply repeating the same tricks sans vocals.

dj koyote and too smooth christ team up to release on some party tunes, a 3-track ep of collaborative and spontaneous jams. willing to produce coupe-decale-inspired tracks with old analogue gear, they crafted at the end an hybrid sound mixture, somewhere between south african house, grime and uk funky. on error : does not computer, a tr606 meets swirling arpeggios spiced with crystal riffs. a sneaky bass line provides an even more swaying groove to the track. on strike (on-a-string mix), a straight-out-of-pretoria riff meets a strong and conquering string stab on top of a really dry and thumping beat. modern action is the most introspective track of the ep, with an m1 pattern flipped upside-down and hazy cymbals rythms.

orlando voorn is back on tarvisium electronique with secret society, a mysterious, obscure and psychedelic ep exuding the essence of detroit techno. side a of the vinyl features the title track in which voorn melts the analogic rhythm with a spectral melodic pattern. side b features two tracks, playing for keeps, a techno bolt of lightning bound straight for the dancefloor and rush, a track characterized by a mechanical, analogic and highly experimental sound. to conclude the ep the label manager, steve lorenz, has composed a remix of secret society with an avant-garde fusion of minimal, acid and detroit techno.

this is the return of the collaborative project vofa, by sawf and anfs, on pi electronics. the athens based duo, that put out the label’s debut release, deliver another 4-tracker of their signature sound for the 5th pi record. pi05.1 is a bass line oriented composition of thrilling beauty, while pi05.2 and pi05.4 provide different takes on the main pi05 theme: one leaning closer to uk breaks influences and the other closer to industrial, hard hitting broken beats. pi05.3 offers a driving tool of distorted realities and tuning bass lines. all tracks showcase further focus on sound texture and dynamics balance, providing a perfect blend of sawf and anfs in joint forces as vofa.

adesso, the new sublabel of disco segreta, is proud to open his catalogue debuting with the first gino pavan album in 40 years! -absolute- is a full-on contemporary electronic -concept album-, entirely written, composed and played by gino. eight tracks, where gino explores the multiple dimensions of the concept of the absolute, experimenting on guitars, synthesizers, electric sitar and percussions, on a 30 minutes journey into darker territories. with every sound originally crafted by gino in his studio, and a compilation of videos created as a visual companion for each track, -absolute- sheds a light upon the music he always wanted to release, revealing his erudite background as a musician/composer.
