the legendary moscow club propaganda celebrates its 20th anniversary in april 2017 and launches a brand new record label. the label will cover different styles of intelligent electronic music, focusing on techno in the first year. at the beginning there will be released music by great artists who had performances at propaganda club in the past. more artists will be involved and more excellent music will be released over time.

any disco dj worth their weight in vinyl knows the name donnell pitman, and until now this has been mostly due to his highly sought after work of the late 70s and early 80s. renewed interest in donnell has reached critical peak over the past few years, fueled by red greg�s feature of donnell�s seminal �love explosion� on joey negro�s under the influence vinyl compilation series and chicago�s numero group putting out long forgotten, unreleased boogie bangers �burning up� and �taste of honey� in 2015.
it was this refreshed enthusiasm that caught the attention of producer kumar mcmillian of chicago-based disco ensemble wings of sunshine. kumar�s group was looking for another vocal collaborator following their 7� debut release on star creature records. a casual introduction led to an informal studio session between the two culminating in a modern disco masterpiece.

first opus of a two acts project dedicated to my daughters, the ep opens with romane a very personal track which samples were taken from important moments of my life. the ep continues with my old mind and its jazzy touch, tinged with nostalgia of a not too far rave past�like an echo comes stocker an introspective track with breakbeat rhythms.the ep closes the curtain on this intimate fresco with poetry of oblivion, a tribute to electronica.

history freely dilates and collapses on valgeir sigurðsson�s dissonance, his first solo release since 2012. its three large-scale works are haunted by the old western tradition, infused with the ethereal workings of electronics and sound manipulation.
dissonance treads elegantly along a fine line between traditional symphonic organicism and the fissures of the faltering structures of reality. it takes forward sigurðsson�s typically expansive, panoramic writing, and elevates it to a perpetual construction and deconstruction of time and space.
these are hardly his first experiments with the archaic technology of classical instruments, but here the distance between past and present is precisely what the music itself is designed to explore, and to distort.
