anopolis are a collective of four thessaloniki based producers coming together for their first release on lower parts. more specifically they are based in the ano poli area of the city, hence the name. from warm analog pads to screaming acid lines combined with raw beats, anopolis provides a 90s mix tape vibe with a wide mixture of styles and sounds. included is a storming remix from elec pt.1 aka andreas gehm, the minister, manager 111.

mindshift celebrates, with decade, the from founder, murdoc, featuring remixes by area and jon mcmillion. decade begins with bullseye-s deep kicks, classic synth pads, and solid basslines, which combine to create a euphoric experience for both listeners and dancers

after his big success with waehlscheibe 003, p. laoss returns on the swiss label with another dub house masterpiece. the german producer has once more switched on his reverb and delay gear and created a wonderful record full of fluffy chords, gentle pads and heavy basses. >rephrasing dub<, >i dont care< and >never though< all display the mans musical mastery in terms of harmony, variety and dramatic expression. in his remix of >i dont care<, federsen from san francisco has taken the crispy deep original and turned it into a broken beat stunner brimming with dubby crackles, noises and delays – all created with his analogue machines. as always all tracks have been mastered by above smoke at the hole of dub studio.

two brand new remixes of sparkys eternal numbers anthem ‘portland’ by tuff city kids (gerd janson & phillip lauer). having requested the parts of the original track, the intrepid duo travelled back in time to the year 1991, set up their samplers and got busy with the breakbeats and euphoric synth pads.

the fourth ep from raw waxes includes two tracks from the noisemaker, italian producer already on fire during the last years. both original tracks have got a delightful groovy soul, amplified by a dark arpeggio, which drives strong energy in stomach and legs of the listeners. the sounds he choses are captivating, dynamic, and push feelings to an high vitality. the deepness of the original tracks is perfectly interpreted by the remixers, who kept his mood and added a personal touch to it. on the a side, mike parker keeps a sinister atmosphere and beautifies it with noisy and raw sounds, which coherently distinguish his productions from many others. on the b side, haiku develops mostly the dance floor mood of the original track with an upbeat based production going through mind trip breaks and industrial pads, giving to the entire release a summer breathe.

we start with the first shigan remix from new up and coming artist charley delholm and let me tell you it is fantastic piece with such depth and understanding, its pads and chords are the making of what good dance music should sound like.

forthcoming on futureboogie recordings, everyones favorite, lithuanian house duo, downtown party network come correct with their debut release for the bristol imprint. dusty disco loops, acidic arps and smooth pads characterize this extended player and showcase the pairs distinctive production techniques. one for the heads.

the 3 originals explore some warm synthesizer soundscapes on this one. patrick krieger shows his affinity to intense atmospheric pads and notes while s-tek and ad.lib deliver some weird bell-like hooklines.

through the years, dragosh has established a solid following for his quality releases like his recent appearance on the fabric mix series compilation mixed by no less than arpiars rhadoo. teoria is a finely crafted ep of four tracks where intricate rhythms coalesces with synth pads and textures to create mystic atmospheres. the last touch is given by another talented romanian artist like priku, who reconstructed didiracrac giving it his typical sound signature.

the album is featuring their production as well as compositions. with instrumentations by tenor and beats procured from the vintage gear of jori hulkkonen in his turku studio, alppihouz by willis, the album has a warm feeling and yet sufficiently exciting for the electronic house heads. there are plenty of string pads, flutes and flute pads, etc to prick up your ears. cola&jimmu once again capture the genuine, old school sound.

the album astral traveling by innerspace halflife is among us with 9 tunes straight from the universal psyche, yet articulated with the tools of human perception through waveforms. deeper and deeper the tunes take a listener on a journey of spacey pads, longing melodies, electronic bass notes, and jacking drum programming. in terms of human understanding, the universe is infinite which makes any scenario one can think of possible. with this in mind, astral traveling was composed and explores the deepness of creativity as innerspace halflife reaches down to pull out sounds using various techniques. the story begins with teardrop from nebula 1122+22. straight from a far away point in space which can serve as the beginning or end of a journey.

dnaut is a brand new label launching with an ep from the mysterious collective mdec - music dance every chance. the first track *the treasure* is a spangled fusion of synths that variously rasp to shine, while the percussions lend a rough feel. the rubbery drums and bass line of *riz jungle* harks back to old school chicago. *hero* is a predatory, creeping and crawling house grove with a whispered voice to add yet more intrigue. *desire* featuring hayley blackman is a little more playful- rooted drums underpin elastic, swaggering percussive lines and a little disco dazzle is hiding in the subtle synth patterns. *glisten feathers* feat billy love closes the ep heartfelt style with a breathy male vocal. shimmering synths, lingering pads and tinkling pianos add color to the killer vocal.

keeping in line with the trademark birdsmakingmachine sound, comes the fifth release on their self-entitled label, bmm 004. with a more straight-to-the-point approach than its predecessor, the ep starts off on the dance floor, with rumbling bass lines and heavy metallic snares juggling with effects-laden delicacies on the a1s >ahora vengo<. the arrival of >ash but not arthur< on the a2 calms things down bit and takes the listener for a gentle journey through ambient pads and cleverly swinging hi hats, while on the flip, things get a little more bouncy in >oscars critical jack<, which is mostly due to the fact its main ingredient – the solid playful bass line – blends effortlessly with the higher frequency spices, keys, strings and rhythmic parts. the end credits roll down with >bonfume<, another relatively smooth yet jacking swinger that could either be used to kick it up a notch in a warm-up set or be danced to while finding yourself at an afterhour.

at the end of 2013, boston bun released his second ep, *flasher*, on ed banger. the three tracks were hypnotic and tailored for clubs. they were played on the radio (bbc1, le mouv, france inter) and also by the best djs on the electro scene (2manydjs, skream, duke dumont, erol alkan, surkin, boys noize, daniel avery…). boston buns new ep, *we got soul*, is a great step. vocals are more important than ever, it is club music with soul! *we got soul* features bear who? (dj sneaks voice) on vocal. it is an anthem-tribute to the mongoloids, boston buns main influence that adds a contemporary flavour to the special scene. the b-side, *time bomb* (featuring the dj/singer piu piu) is an emotional growing track, between pads and explosion. with such a unique and breakthrough sound, boston bun establishes further more among the french producers who really matter.

after the very successful foray into split eps, luv shack records continues to explore this concept with luv013. the ep sees upcoming duo space echo make a return after their smash hit -soul power-, while the b-side is conducted by wahlberliner rotciv. -come back home-, the opening track by space echo, is a slowly building but effortlessly captivating piece of hypnotic house music with a raw funk attitude. the gently evolving synth line and the strong vocal hook are the spine of this anthemic track. the seemingly laid back -hangover- just oozes b-movie sleaze and might be space echos little hommage to 60 s lounge music, with an array of distorted guitars and soft pads coming to good use. that is until the synth theme kicks in mid-track and turns the piece into a late night weapon.

time to welcome more new, undiscovered talent to the fold, this time we give you sheffield producer thatmanmonkz with an amazing ep entitled please dont slip, trip or fall off. thatmanmonkz came to our attention last year when his track that would be alright appeared on tone control music. the low slung, bluesy inflections combined with moodymann-esqe vocals and deep pads had us instantly hooked so when he presented us with three brand new tracks for delusions of grandeur we literally bit his hand off.

the unique and barnstorming trio from paris dop are back on the home turf of circus company with killer new single close up including remixes from catz n dogz, san proper. combining a dynamic groove with jaw’s unmistakable sultry drawl and a dreamy soundscape of deep chords and warm pads, the original mix is an addictive slice of vivid vocal house.

after forming a successful dj and production duo, live set, club nights, and solo gigs, it is only natural what comes next. in march of 2014, i m in love becomes a record label and hits the shelves with their first release – a vinyl only debut from the hands of joschka tschirley. *alpha centauri* and *proxima centauri* are brilliant examples of tschirleys journey through techno since forming raucherecke in 2007. both tracks exude his warm style with emotional pads, balearic infused percussion, and just enough melody to lose yourself in. tschirley captures familiar moments from the duos past productions while layering his new ideas taken from countless live sets, dj sets, and only the best memories from the i m in love club nights.

killekill is proud to present eomac’s “spectre”, the debut album from dublin-based producer ian mcdon- nell, a rising star in the techno scene. spectre also marks the label’s first full-length album release. ian is better-known as half of the irish duo lakker and this album is certainly carved from the same cold slab of stone. his music has already gained huge support from the likes of tommy four seven, ellen allien, thom yorke and the one and only aphex twin himself. bleepy, slo-mo synth lines, dense textures, saturated bassdrums and hand-sliced vocals dunked in cavern- ous reverb – spectre is all about eomac doing what he does best, taking our concepts of club sound and contorting them into something that is truly his own. the melodies are slo-mo and lo-fi, the pads, exquisitely lush and textured. ian’s amazing sound-design (bordering on the intense in some places) and incredible attention to detail makes this an album where each listen reveals a deeper layer. spatters of noise, shards of broken beat and relentlessly pounding techno rhythms also make it a dancefloor-decimating weapon.

3rd release on is records from fake left. first two making waves with the likes of sven vath, linkwood, ben sims and andrew weatherall. startin off on the a side with straight up electro goodness of mtf and continuing on to the b-side, acid hooks and stripped back grooves of the clockmakers kinetic dreams. track 3 transference finishes off the ep nicely more jackin grooves, haunting pads and frequencies.

bulletdodges next instalment comes from us producer sean ray, delivering a single called deep 454 with 3 superb remixes from mgun, space djz & mr o and gareth whitehead. seans original track is a deep affair, heralding sparkling pads and grooving percussion. the track is cemented by a dark yet infectious piano riff and soulful bassline to make it a dancefloor classic. first up on remix duties is ur’s very own newcomer mgun. mgun has been taking the scene by storm lately with his incredible productions and his take on sean’s deep 454 is no exception. for this remix he has provided us with a detroit infused gem of a track. he has used soulful pads that eminate detroit and an upfront kick to create nothing short of a masterpiece. for the next remix we have an exciting collaboration between techno stalwarts space djz and one half of the detroit grand pubha’s mr o. their joint venture has produced a deep techno monster. it has a solid bassline and hypnotic use of the pads that shouts out 5am madness. lastly to remix deep 454 is bulletdodge’s head honcho gareth whitehead who has created a more old school stripped back deep house vibe. his tight drum programming and clever usage of the original tracks pads and piano riff rounds this perfect package off very nicely. supported so far by audio injection, colin dale, craig richards, dj deep, gary beck, paul mac, pig & dan, samuel l. session, sasha carassi, skream, slam, tom hades and vince watson plus many more!!!

the the second release in the nrr series is here. this time two extraordinary mixes from zoe zoe & enoah ballard. on the a-side zoe zoe takes a classic donny hathaway cut, flips it into orbit and rinses it with innovation and experimentation. on the flip zoe zoe and enoah ballard rework george maple with deep pads and pulsing drums that really makes you love the track more and more each time you play it.

vin sol & matrixxman return with their second double-header of remixes of one of the most distinctive voices in modern music, revisiting two of the hallowed songstress classics from the 80s. first up is the beautiful *never thought* which has been given the remix treatment many times before due to the accapella being on the original 12 inch. here vs & m add early 90s house flourishes - warm pads, deep chords and the original vocal seeping in and out of the mix, whilst elements slowly start to build up for what is a pretty ecstatic house rework of a classic. simple and effective. fans of innervisions wont be disappointed! on the flip, *love is stronger* is a mellower take on one of her signature hits. sticking to a cool 110 bpm tempo, it has got a bubbly, woozy late sunday afternoon vibe emanating from the first 4 bars. another solid rework from the vin sol & matrixxman camp!

when luke solomon got in touch and said he wanted to work with local talk we felt both honoured and happy, especially since we have been fans for a long time and mats actually booked him to his raw fusion club in the late 90s. he has been around long enough to be considered a legend within the scene. we couldnt agree more. lost channels, a 130 bpm piano driven and punk-dubby new york inspired house track comes in two versions. the raw & stripped version is exactly what the name says, sharp snares & hi-hats, piano chords, a driving rhythm with lukes trademark percussion sprinkled on top. the live piano version is actually the original version and is peppered with more of everything. bubbly fx, more of that staccato piano and of course that muscular bassline. for remix duties it is the return of an old local talk friend, wil maddams. it seems like wil has spent some time in detroit since last time. this remix sounds like something that would come straight out of the d, his clever drum programming holds this track together with its deep pads and bubbling bassline. it is a retro (but fresh) techno jam for 2014.

here it is, our new release comes from the far west coast of the usa, from a total american,a blend of the north and south continents, the scfi xicano: santiago salazar. he is a long running veteran, ambassador of the deepest techno, founder and president of thehistoria & violencia imprint, sandwell district cooperator. if you are into techno, this guy needs no introduction. for his debut in our label, santiago provides four pieces of soulful electronic music suitable for mind or body dancing, slow tempos, vintage drums, resonant pads and heavy synth workout.

bristol music has always stood strongest as an alternative to the lowest common denominator, and so it is with brstl as the label continues to provide a platform to previously undiscovered talent in the underbelly of the citys flourishing house scene. following lauded debuts from shanti celeste and jay l, the sixth installment in the series turns to another unknown in the shape of samuel. as with other releases on brstl, 006 is made up of two distinct halves. on the a-side, >numberuma< delivers machine driven house of a rugged and charming nature. the drums switch up with playful intent but largely centre around a forward-charging 4/4 pulse with a faint hint of tropical flavour rubbed into the groove. meanwhile the limber lead keys speak of sunnier days through a cracked lens while the accompanying chord swells intone an equally uplifting and nostalgic message. while from the outset the track may be wrought from simple ingredients, the dynamic interplay between the different elements belies the producers years. on the flip, >groove therapy< opts for a more esoteric approach made up of long, dreamy lead-ins full of distant pads and delicate percussion and transitions as smooth as silk. indeed this track makes a smart foil to >numberuma<, choosing to snake its way into the subconscious through delicate melodic content and an undulating beat rather than rambunctious rhythm. slow-release filters draw that aforementioned pad in before sending it out to sea once more, and all the while the stripped back drums tick out a hypnotic chant. once again a pair of unique tracks loaded with character prove brstl to be an essential outpost for the most creative 4/4 music emanating from the west country.

gear appreciating italian giorgio luceri enters the saft dome with the machine driven liger ep. on the opening track liger giorgio cleverly paints an elusive ambiance using jumbled drums and an appealing bassline together with a continual synthline that nicely sits on top of the serene pads that give rise to an intense atmosphere.

alaska kicks off 2014 in style with an emotional drum & bass and downtempo 12 inch from arctic music. alaskas 33rd vinyl release takes you on an escalating journey with its head-nodding breakbeats, layered pads, bass booms and chords. violin, piano and rhode keys lead the ascent into a passionate orchestral crescendo and jasheri is born.on the flipside alaska flexes the sample muscles and lowers the tempo to 85 bpm with the arctic-sleeze score of zoranine. xylophone riffs, oboe effects, guitar stabs, flutes and vintage keys float over a funky breakbeat groove for the first alaska downtempo excursion since novas from 2010s the mesozoic era lp.

daze maxim adds another episode to his practice of long-form explorations, on this his second release for lisbon’s assemble music. this time hes joined by a master in this field, baby ford, whose remixes over the past few years continue his own distinctive development of extended minimal house trips. dazes beginning an ending rides a skippy, loose beat for several minutes, the snares and hats gradually opening up as wordless vocalizations exclaim and interject with increasing regularity, the bass bumping contentedly underneath. pads join the equation for an intricate midsection – evoking memories of alcachofa-era happy experimentalism that nonetheless fit within daze maxims disciplined and dancefloor-oriented approach.peter ford recasts the original into his now unmistakable soundspace, where the push and pull between front-and-centre rhythmic components and evanescent background atmospherics creates that recognizable but undefinable sense of emotion, felt but unexplained. in ford’s world there isnt anything as simple as a beginning or an end, so the remix provides a valuable counterpoint to the original. given their now impressive track record, its no surprise that assemble music has pulled off another cohesive statement that works equally on the body and the mind.

the debut full-length by achterbahn d amour (johannes iron curtis paluka and jurgen jool albert), captures two artists coaxing the most emotional sounds to date out of classic roland boxes. the album is the natural extension of the duos live rooted sound, further defining the oblique dance moves contained on their three acid test eps. they demonstrate a true reverence for the 303 and 606. on odd movements, lush pads and abrupt toms create a literal pedestal for the bassline machine. the duo have hit on a sound well-suited for dark rooms and towering sound systems. due in jan, 2014

welcoming warrior one to losing suki, the man like carl faure has been knocking out some killers for labels like black butter, catskills and king pigeon over the last few years, and for suki he shines a light upon the garage house hybrid sounds…. title track 5ths kicks things off with the kind of punchy garage house swing that never fails to move you, airhorns and synth sweeps pepper the cut whilst a thundering double 99-esque bassline throbs hard and heavy. flipside, the reverberating keys and mc licks of nyc continue warrior ones indulgence of the classic us house sounds but with a slick production for the modern dancefloor. closing track only you presents orgasmic pads and tough garage beats, its meaty bass touching the spot, a sweet slice of when rave met garage (somewhere in a field off the m25, most probably).

label boss jose cabrera aka j.c. comes up with his first ep on ahd after having released in labels such as soul people music. expect rawness, deep pads and analog synths and arpeggios. keith worthy, aesthetic audios label boss is on the remix duties delivering a very unique and original version.

following a noticeable entrance onto the dame-music roster with the dame-music 021 *the jonh red hawk project*, anaxander returns on bloody marys imprint for an other fine ep. with a deep, spooky and atmospheric introduction, *you saved my life (brothers and sisters)* cruises through with rolling drums and metallic bass softened by pads. this subsequently evolves into that anaxander signature melody as the track twists it way to an uplifting mood.

looking back at the on the prowl catalog one will notice the string of italian producers simoncino, nicholas, marvin & guy. otps love affair with italian producers continues with south italys nasty boy. with a half dozen eps already under his belt, he continues his forward march down the road of deeper house. his tracks tend to have a lovely melancholy with simple pads, and a vibe thats hard to ignore

und es geht weiter - nach dem geglueckten labelstart von ritter butzke studio sind wir nun bereit für die naechste runde. das zweite release kommt ebenfalls von einem resident des hauses, naemlich patryk molinari, dessen >addicted to the vibe ep< schon ueber ihren namen deutlich macht wohin die musikalische reise gehen wird. die a-seite >addicted< ist ein 80s angehauchter track ohne dabei wie ein abklatsch aus alten zeiten zu wirken. getragen wird der song durch ein massives bass-fundament wozu sich dann im spaeteren verlauf noch wohlige pads und eingaengige weibliche vocals gesellen, welche den tracktitel besingen - >im so addicted!< die b-seite bietet dann mit >neon vibe< einen schoenen kontrast dazu. hier hat patryk wesentlich fokussierter auf den groove gearbeitet ohne dabei in die belanglosigkeit abzudriften. fuer die noetige spannung sorgen die tiefen maennliche vocoder-vocals, gutdurchdachte chord-rhythmen und natuerlich das punktgenaue drumming, welches sofort zum mitgrooven animiert. zu diesem track haben dann noch kotelett & zadak einen remix beigesteuert, der sich natürlich am original orientiert, ihm aber zugleich einen ganz anderen charakter verleiht. die beiden haben das thema deutlich percussiver aufgegriffen und den groove dann zusaetzlich mit einer sehr praegnanten bassline untermalt. das abwechslungsreiche arrangement und diverse effektspielereinen sorgen dafuer, dass mit sicherheit keine langeweile beim hoerer aufkommen wird. alles in allem ein sehr rundes release, wie wir finden, und daher hoffen wir dass es auch bei euch wieder auf anklang stoßen wird!

for this release kurbits once again turns to the romanian artist faster aka laurentiu suciu. since fasters last release on kurbits in 2011, the romanian has established his position on the scene with gigs all over the world and quality releases on labels such as vinyl club and rora. on this release we see faster continiung and developing the deep and hypnotic sounds of previous releases. orchestra modificata is something as rare as a subtle big track. the pads sure speak the language of big room business, but in combination with the exquisite percussion work, the track takes us to exciting unexplored dimensions. on the flip we have daca vrei. its radiant mood and the laid back breakbeats, make it the perfect ingridient for those early morning sessions when a little pinch of sunshine is all you need to take the crowd to party heaven. we sincerely hope you ll have as much pleasure with these tracks as we a have. we ll be back soon with new and exciting rhythms.

deep site recordings presents karmine roscianos >sending my love ep<, exclusively on vinyl. karmine is no stranger to deep house fans around the globe with damn fine releases on imprints like um records, incepto deep, and city life. first off on the ep is his original track, sending my love. its a smooth deep funk dancefloor number peppered with groovy guitar, lush orchestral pads, and a sweet female vocal refrain. next up is a melodic and resplendent remix by vincenzo (dessous). placing the vocals more upfront, he then adds a wickedly infectious garage styled bassline and electric piano chords over the original sounds, creating a scorchingly deep track. the third song is another original from karmine, with you. beautiful piano lines coupled with funk bass and guitar flourishes soar over a driving deep house structure that accentuates a percussive discothèque feel. the final tune is a remix from alex neivel (large music/rvs). taking the original elements to a completely new place, alex emphasizes the late night mood with rich floating pads, dark spacey atmospherics, as well as perfectly timed rhythmical pauses.
