king ghazi is shadi khries and gilbert cohen. recorded in amman / may 2014. all the music presented here is original, and has been recorded in jordan in may 2014. this project was born when i met shadi in paris, at the percussion recording sessions for acid arab. from these sessions came the idea of​,,,,,exploring local music styles on the verge of disappearing, in jordan and elsewhere in the middle east. it was also an opportunity for me to meet exceptional people and wonderful artists. for 15 days, we travelled through jordan, recording local musicians. here we hear osama al khairat aka abu sayah, an exiled syrian musician who plays the yarghoul (two flutes linked together by beeswax. one plays a drone, the other the corresponding range, all while blowing continuously). i want to specially thank shermine sawalha for allowing us to record in the living room of her parents house, as well as for coordinating the whole project. without her energy and patience, this record would not be in your hands today.

this vinyl ep is a collaboration between paris label correspondant and germanys gomma records. remixes by los angeles finest psychedelic electronic producer secret circuit (beats in space records) and german shooting star lauer (partner of gerd janson at tuff city kids). why this ep? gomma has a long history with the paris scene. mathias munk modica who runs gomma (and sublabel toy tonics) has been living in france for many years. he worked with many parisian artists from dj chloe (on munks first album aperitivo 2004) to the ed banger crew or black strobe. probably apart of berlin there is no city in the world that saw more gomma events than paris. seems only a project with jennifer cardini missed. so jennifer invited mathias last year to send over tracks. decision was made fast. and so wurlitzer wank and the bösus bounce have come up on correspondant.

zaquoir alias matthias groß is a producer and musician currently living in leipzig. after sending us more than 10 gigabites of great music, we sat down together and tied a selection of his really eclectic styles of production together into one lp, creating some sort of showreel created in the timespan of over 15 years. zaquoir himself sees the record as a reminiscent mood of a donkey in the sardinian sun and describes the record as a trip in itself, allowing the listener to traverse the lines of various acoustic landscapes. the tracks on the lp where produced in six different places, including a historic house in the centre of vilnius, the artist residency blumen in leipzig, a french-german art association and a village in northern bavaria.

debut release from brian ring. raised in cork on a diet of us-american house music and disco oscillating between sylvester and glenn underground, while sneaking into clubs underaged (see sir henrys for further reference) ring was baptised by by david mancuso and theo parrish in london (thank you easyjet) while his record collection grew and grew. living in berlin now, an epiphany in some remote parts of australia (it was 42 degrees!) resulted in him following his own path in making music. so, here we go: the movements ep brings together mike dunn (sample has been cleared, folks), timothy leary and tee scott puts disco roller skates on heavy legged deep house and is most of all as much fun as it is sincere. all in a certain way that is personally his.
