having thus far released eps for aficionado and music for dreams, a vision of panorama return to their regular haunt mellophonia to expand on the promise of their shorter works to go deep into a balearic dream on aquafusion. it s a perfect meditation on serene funk from start to finish, spanning eight tracks of tender musicianship that sit very easy on the ears. the likes of surf blue almost do away with drums entirely in a quest for calm, while barbados and others offer up a more sprightly vision of 80s-flavoured groove, but throughout the mysterious hands behind the record maintain a smooth and steady mood that binds the album together.

as we welcome another talented artist to our family we asked viken about the first part of a two part release and he told us it s really important to understand that this ep is a series of pictures telling a story. combining the names of all the tracks one gets this interesting and dreamy sentence, on a blue road a white shadow feels the winter. to translate these pictures into music, i needed a very particular sound. since i am a huge fan of jazz music i took one of my favorite records, used a lot of samples and reworked them in my own way. from the technical aspect, i decided to reconnect with my first love: analog machines. i love working with sound textures. i stayed away from my laptop and all my vst/plugins as i felt the need to compose these tracks in an unusual way: i wanted the sound to be really pure. that s the reason why this process was so essential for me. for me, this ep is the first one to sound like this. this is the first of two releases from a deeply talented soul. a patient collage of house, jazz, acid squiggles and deep emotion. played and loved all summer long by lee burridge at all day i dream, these tracks will stay with you through winter and into next summer.

the first release from naissance musik (nm) is a 12” vinyl from the super-group dream scoring (hear and hakim murphy) entitled images of a myth. it is comprised of 4 tracks. a myth is a legendary story that a community validates to explain part of its reality. however any member or group within the community can have his or her own version of the myth, and the myth can also evolve through time. we may all listen to the same track but this track still calls up intimate images for each and every one of us. a myth is full of adventure and mystery, it is epic and full of emotions. it can be anything from the lost ark to greek gods fighting. the aim is to fill our bodies and minds with emotions. the main idea is to tell stories like books or movies, but through musical notes & rhythm. the music makers provide the musical image, the listeners create the myth. and vice-versa.

for over five years, all day i dream has been where deep and emotive meet house music. propelled by a community of forward thinking artists drawn around the scion of master curator and sunset/sunrise set specialist, lee burridge. all day i dream formally welcomes lost desert to the label with the release of lingala, a two-track collaborative effort with burridge himself, that also features junior on vocals. lost desert was picked out of obscurity after burridge discovered his music while trekking in a remote area of a long lost land. a fast forged friendship inevitably lead to the studio, and lingala’s the enrapturing sophomore result. the duo’s first project together debuted on lee’s night time imprint, get weird, earlier this year to widespread support. lingala, is a beautifully composed ten-minute sonic journey. built around a mystical lead vocal sung by newcomer junior in his native linagles the raw emotion slowly builds in intensity over propulsive basslines and deep melodic grooves . gorje hewek & izhevski’s interpretation of lingala is a markedly different affair. focussing on musical layers rather than the vocal the duo’s signature spacey atmospheres and minimal rhythmic percussion add extra strings creating uplifting moments that contrast the original’s mood.
