the 2nd release of canadian producer basic soul unit on mule electronic. bsu have released from such an excellent label like a versatile, philpot, ostgut ton. title track of >night heat< on a side is a melodic and playful detroitish house track. on the b side, we invited our favorite underground house producer >fred p aka black jazz consortium< to the remixer. he almost cutted off the melody and made more dj tool version. it fits perfectly for dark club. if you like the sound of >underground quality< release or that kind of house music,you will definetly need to check!

detroit threads recordings is a loose family of artists housed under mikal smith’s roof. our family delights in invention, respects tradition and has a deep love for the experimental. our ethos is hypnotism, telepathy, and mathematics working as one. we work together to express ourselves so that the way we live may not be lost. the focus of our latest e.p. is the detroit techno militia. the militia was formed to keep detroit’s edge sharp and its’ sound underground. we hope to display their brand of relentless technique that has built for them a loyal following. we are proud to have the militia on our side.

after two very well received initial releases by federleicht, it is time to create a path for other enlightening artists and projects: for our third release we proudly present oculus, one of icelands most promising producers, and leib & seele.

wavetest are a new collective from zurich, 4 young guys in their early 20s which have their roots in disco and house. two of them have already released a single on chicagos mathematics label under their late invitation project name. they are also a great live-act with bass, keys and drum machines and their dj kejeblos is one of the most promising hopes of zurichs new generation. he is a resident at zukunft and was discovered and supporte by our buddie lexx.
we are totally into their groove as we really like their open-minded approach and we honestly believe in them. their tunes impress by a really forward thinking attitude and can be played at any time during the night. this is a perfectsummertime single and we just had so much fun playing the tracks out. because to us this is exactly what we call b-boy house.

escape from new york >singles collection< contains the groups full discography. the group comprising of british record producers john falleti, mike whitford, nigel swanston & tim cox (who also recorded as airstrip-one) penned these two gems in the early 80s at a time when italo disco & new wave were the flavour of the day. >fire in my heart< needs little introduction, an incredible slow-mo balearic masterpiece with rapturous vocals. now worth a pretty penny this originally was released on uk rollerball records in 1984.

komonazmuk drops a tough slice of deep, stepping, and melodic dubstep for our 11th release… with his history in rave culture stretching back to the oldskool days, through releases on hardleaders & moving shadow with ice minus, right up to his current cutting edge productions, keiran lomax aka komonazmuk has got his fingers in many musical pies. having had big releases on scene-leaders like tempa, and his debut album coming on h.e.n.c.h. later this year, his versatility as a producer and engineer is second to none.

our danish foreign affairs correspondent mathias mesteno has returned after an extensive visit to the chicago soundscapes. as to be expected, he managed to sneak a suitcase full of classic house tracks through customs and they are on their way to appear on the latest upon you releases. mestinos crafty little fingers have combined three decades of musical history with samples and inspiration, long breaks and warm kick drums turning them into modern club tracks. >buckskin< has pounded itself on to a1 with its dusty boiler beats, while >el mestengo< proudly grooves itself on b1. our chicago expert proves that hes fearless with >bareback< on b2 and once again infects us with the cure resistant house virus
