Detroit Threads Recordings is a loose family of artists housed under Mikal Smith’s roof. Our family delights in invention, respects tradition and has a deep love for the experimental. Our ethos is hypnotism, telepathy, and mathematics working as one. We work together to express ourselves so that the way we live may not be lost. The focus of our latest e.p. is the Detroit Techno Militia. The Militia was formed to keep Detroit’s edge sharp and its’ sound underground. We hope to display their brand of relentless technique that has built for them a loyal following. We are proud to have the Militia on our side.
