after a remix for dasos so sexy last year, the german-peruvian artist martin patiño confirms his presence on popcorn records with an entire ep. to begin with, solid ground is born from the collaboration with astrid. we already heard them on the great hunter ep on cadenza at the beginning of the year. the result of this new featuring is an original techno track with all the good components you expect from tr707 drums to a xylophone melody, in addition to the sexy and reassuring voice of astrid. the american pezzner honored us with a particular interpretation. a deep theme, with percussions, long and subtle panpipes breathe. as if pezzner was paying tribute to martin patinos roots. finally, routinary coffes comes to conclude this warm and deep record done for the sweating parties of the upcoming winter.

the founders of >pfand<, hali and yapacc, met each other in berlin and torontos nightclub circuit. they created the synonym >act natural< and debuted four tracks which describe the actual vibe and feel of berlins club culture. beside the purely minimal percussive tracks (pretty good & action - words), they created a vocal-based hymn, >berlin is killing me<, that perfectly expresses the mood after a long party weekend. for >revenge or insanity<, they invited julie marghilano to give the right punch in combination with a bumpy bassline that kicks you in your ass.

slum science was formed in 2003 by uk producer danny white who released the gs delight ep on daz saunds resident records london label. collaborations with dan ruck & eddie leader saw the slumsters have subsequent releases on deep future, icon, greenhouse, jackin tracks and black cherry gaining fans along the way from heads like mark fafina and derrick carter.

after his epic split with black deer, torn hawk comes back with a proper four track 12 inch, opening with an almost balearic/tropical, someone put something in my drink and i am melting house cut. trapdoor returns to wyatts skewed after school special add cali-speed freak bastard child drum machine/guitar lush not lushness. we get more end-titles on the b-side, as both songs could be the soundtracks for a night hanging in a parking lot drinking boxed wine and snorting ajax while auxilary police circle, threatening to harsh your mellow ... good times to say the least.
