after the last release for ec and paul ritchs quartz label, michel de hey and m.i.r.k.o. are back on hey! joining the forces are none less than rodriguez jr and juan sanchez. after a great summer for michel with his hey! events in clubs, beaches and festivals, it was time to deliver that vibe to the label again. with this new ep that mission is easily accomplished. the original tracks are typical for michel, tough but funky and made for the dancefloor. all tracks have proven their value at numerous nights, with >give me a light< as an anthem for (the now closed) catwalk in rotterdam, whilst the original version of >waiting and waiting< has proven to be a great closer to his festival sets.

mzo bullets track >casablanca< has become a sought after underground classic over the last 18 months, so when it landed here as part of our township funk compilation album we thought we would do it justice and give it a full vinyl release. as our friends hot city were jumping around to it when they heard it, we decided to let them loose on the remix. already picking up plays from benji b over at radio 1 plus dj support from the likes of diplo, kissy sellout, doorly and andy george.

footandmouths forth release sees the return of the prodigal sons s.a.s. after the success of fam001 they are back with another hot slice of vintage house pie! the a side is a great little vintage house rework, complete with great keyboard stabs, driving bass and ace vocal, tweaked for perfect peak time performance. a2 is a superb mid-tempo electro dub of the vocal…blinding! the flip features dreaming and were hit boogie territory with some aplomb! a serious 80s groove underpins soulful vocal and electro beats. the dub then hikes the tempo and jacks the groove into ny dub underground! great package from the s.a.s mystery men!
