afr return after a summer break with 3 more slices of techno, this time from manchurian producer, setaoc mass (sam coates) backed with a fantastic remix from argentinean, jonas kopp. a relative newcomer to the scene, sam has carved a distinct sound. rough rhythms are permeated with dub infected synth hooks and tough percussive workouts. definitely a rawness crafted in the uk. shrinked.

big one! pure, dark and driving techno bombs by pfirter on his own imprint mindtrip. incl. huge remixpackage by jonas kopp, dimi angelis & jeroen search and developer.
no need to introduce jonas kopp anymore. the argentinian made his curle debut in 2008 and has been a regular guest with releases and remixes ever since. desire will be his third full ep on the label!
after releasing his debut album on sleaze records in 2010, we welcome a new release from the very talented argentinian producer, flug. both original tracks are a perfect example of his trademark hypnotic, resonating techno music. for remixes we have two bright new stars in jonas kopp & truncate, whose tracks & remixes have been gaining massive rotation in the techno world over the past 12 months!
dimi angelis & jeroen search make their first appearance on par grindviks stockholm ltd label with their >rhetorica ep<. the pair have been working together since their debut collaborative release on music mans sublabel, ion, in 2004. since then they have released on figure, smallville, traut, balans and their own imprint a&s. they also produce together under the >counterpart< guise and have eps on jeff mills 6277, oscar muleros warm up and the advents kombination research under their belt. the >rhetorica ep< is a lesson in deep, patient and hypnotic sounds. a rounded ep that works both in home and club, and will undoubtedly prick the ears of the techno fraternity. jonas kopp interpreted both the originals into a version of his own. this remix is full of drive and energy, something he brings to all his works.
for our 40th release we are very pleased to welcome on deeply rooted house argentinas own jonas kopp (ostgut ton, curle, krill music, ear to ground, traut). this 4 tracks ep gives a good example of his diverse and still very defined techno recording skills. a side goes from the very straight forward and somehow mental reforce to the deep and abstract journey of proteus 81, while b side kicks of with the somehow balearic and positive green fingers to end up with the quest of light!
modularz 8.1 part of a 2 part series focused around original tracks by developer & truncate, featuring cutting edge remixes by jonas kopp & markus suckut this is a sure favorite for those seeking raw big room techno and peak time heavy rhythms. the modularz 8 series as been well-received by online press and print publications and also hugely supported by the elite techno talents of the world.
first on decks.de !! groover platz began his adventure with a vinyl by andrea belluzzi, inspired by the underground / techno frequency transmitted from the germans capital. a highly original and energetic release that contains 2 tracks originals and a massive remix done by jonas koop. comes on pure white vinyl.
kevin gorman isnt a man of many releases, but when he does release something, its always spot on. his last release was on ostgut ton, thanks to ben klock. he also has his own label, mikrowave, and already did remixes for cocoon, clr, skint etc. >cast< is a real techno bomb, just like the jonas kopp remix on the flip. not for the faint of heart!
killer jonas kopp remix, perfect berghain style.. a la ben klock or marcel dettmann... already played & support by: norman nodge, rolando, ben lock, paul woodford
kumquat edits this harmonious and sensual package and presents wandler, well-grooved producer of the scene of zurich and main artist of motoguzzi label. a sophisticated work, together with the argentine producers jonas kopp (traut muzik, ostgut ton, curle) and juan zolbaran (arjaus, eat more beef, kumquat) a deep travel of the mind, an escape for the soul, but particularly a delightful pleasure for the body… as a premiere: kumquat mixes own wandlers original madness with detroits techno vibes and warm drums of buenos aires!
stroboscopic artefacts rip into autumn with a masterful split vinyl. sa006 sees jonas kopp taking to the a-side with the punishingly good >alkitran< and the flip side picks up where the monad series left off with markus suckuts >vary<. >alkitran< writhes hissing and spitting into existence. snares lash across the opening, to be replaced by subaqueous grumbles and whirling from above. the title >alkitran> begs no translation, the tracks sticky, black palette and viscous textures effortlessly communicate the notion of tar. markus suckuts >vary> takes the opposite tact, his dark tones are built amid structures that are suffused with light and dappled with the grindingly ecstatic. this is superbly elegant techno that has refused to sacrifice any of its hardness in order to achieve elegance.
fresh from our label compilation >so far (so good)<, we are proud to announce the follow-up to last years successful deliric ep on curle. three absolutely killer tracks by our argentinian friend jonas kopp (spectral sound, ostgut ton). pick your favourite!
carl cox said >the best thing i haver ever listened this year< !! material celebrates 3 years of hits with a new artistic label print and sleeves. its a collectors item
CREDO REPAINTS 2/5 (CHRIS LIEBING & JONAS KOPP RMX)
12 Inch 04.02.10
round no. 2 for the alex baus credo repaints, this time featuring the long term techno-heavyweight chris liebing and the uprising jonas kopp from argentina. chris keeps close to the original of >full method jacket<, a track he has been playing frequently, adding his own flavour in a very impressive way. jonas turns >lofi micro< into a stripped down and arrangement-wise more relaxed version, but his precise drumming and sound-design makes this remix becoming something completely new. full points again and already massive dj-support from a like abba to z like zz top :-)

since four triangles was founded to release material from previously unheralded artists working in the space between house, techno and vintage rave, it seems fitting that the label’s second release should come from an analogue explorer still making his way in the world.
you may have stumbled across jonas friedlich’s debut solo 12”, a thrillingly forthright collection of hardware workouts that slipped out, unheralded, on molten moods late last year. we think the five tracks showcased here offer an extended glimpse in friedlich’s distinctive musical vision.
jonas friedlich, better known through mistress recordings and carl gari, releases his first solo 12- on molten moods. the versatile 4 track ep starts with the rather straight -bo s breakfast- that begins with a polyrhythmic 303 bass line leading into a catchy garage-ish chorus, kicking in out of a clear sky but fittingly. -bus driver- is a wicked trip, the combination of the long acid build up and a nicely chopped vocal bit is irresistible. a proven, tested (and molten moods certified) club banger, regardless of its rather untypical breakbeat. track number 3 called -praise your name- aces groove through perfectly cut vocal samples and a fancy reference to 90s hip hop and drum n bass aesthetics. the next and last piece on the record is the eponymous -deskjet-, which is inspired by friedlichs conceptual sound art installations using printers. here rather restrained synthie lines are underpinned by a powerful kick and psychedelic tape delay noises. the 12- vinyl is handstamped on both sides. mastered and cut by scape mastering. artwork by paul bernhard.
rivulet records are continuing their release just where the compilation at the beginning of the year left us. again bringing 4 artists together on one release shifting between dusty, mellow house and some how twisted techno. peonies from russia, who has been releasing tapes on his own label „summer night“ since 1 year, sets the mood for the record with his track „soft light“ which sounds almost like a dim, fading memory of a club night full of classy house records. the rework by ital, the head behind „lovers rock“ from new york, builds up the mood in a complete different, driving and technoid atmosphere. the b-side is the first cooperation between two very old friends, berni from trier and jonas palzer from berlin, both part of portray records. their tracks are playing with the same kind of hauntology as the a—side, building up a sound that is familiar and distant in the same way - referring to old records by boards of canada as well as to the contemporary sound of „house“ at its best meaning.

Coloured 12 Inch 01.08.16
we live a life in between exorcism and consumption stirring up a piece of sh-which might be the forgotten, the unexpected, the unusual, the left behind. dust as a metaphor for our repetitive culture, can t be better chosen to head the redust ep on formresonance. grainy and with a sixth sense of its pulse, the tracks do emerge into a wide soundstream. dust hereby transports a piece of wisdom: the sound signature. knowledge which is inherent in class-a circuits, vinyl, or tape and which can be barely re-produced. georg stuby is already a dj on stage, like burning man, club der visionäre… he resident in the zürich party scene, teaches at the school of sound and drops out some nice tips on his own blog: www.georgstuby.com the redust ep is his debut release. jonas & christopher lawrenz provide their experience with georgs music, even longer.
