07042016 (live at st.paul s anglican church, athens) is the debut album of modal analysis, brought by the greek experimental band of mmmd (also known as mohammad). nikos veliotis and ilios are currently performing as the mmmd duo, with further focus on deep monolithic sounds, low frequencies, inter-modulations, dark textures, and distant folk nuances through custom made instruments (cello & electronic bass) and software. the release carries parts of the mmmd live performance at st.pauls anglican church in athens, recorded on the 7th of april 2016. the concert was hosted by fasma festival, on the opening day of its 2016 edition.

lillygood party! is a label focused on licencing tracks that alex and stephane play for years at their parties. the aim is to re-edit and revisit those jams from soul to house , jazz to afro, boogie to techno and make us and people enjoy and smile on the dancefloor because those tunes are really really good both tracks here are classics dancefloors tunes, nothing rare, just favourite tunes that alex and stéphane play in their sets. on the a side the onwards international version is longer than the original and the arrangement quiet different for more intense dancefloor action. here they both worked on the edit to find the right balance and the right sound in order to revisit the uk classic jazz funk number, a firm favourite here lillygood! the b side is an amazing disco modern soul gospel track from elbernita twinkie clark already reissued some time ago but the cherry on the cake is that you have here a 12inch version extended and a new mastering for extra loud play this version is slightly different than the original, alex extended parts: the beginning with drum intro looped for mixing and changed the end to make it longer keeping the original flavour. please enjoy as much as we do because we love those edits, we love those tunes, we love music we are very happy to share with you these limited vinyls releases

stug music was born in april 2007 organize events in the netherlands. club venues like paard van troje the hague, doornroosje nijmegen & studio 80 amsterdam were homebase of 55 events where (inter)national artists were invited. focus on programming (inter)national heroes of the past, the present & the future it was always a big wish to start a music label. january 2018 was the digital premiere of stug music, label & events runned by bart van rijn. two original tracks from the founder remixed by specialists in their genre perel & rhadow. with the second release in prospect a special vinyl >remix edition< will be pressed also remixes from kris wadsworth & carlos nilmmns. from dance floor orientated house & techno to indie electronic music.

with his album in between re:deep presents not only an impressive specimen of his musical spectrum. the artist also merges deep house elements and experimental folk as well as extremely minimized indie pop into a whole new sound concept. re:deep intensively bends the boundaries of the genres, delves deep into the soundscapes of different epochs and styles. thereby warmly crackling field recordings blend into analogue basslines and sequencers as well as melancholic guitar drones meet sensitive vocals. the always smoothly appearing and cocooning sound is the subtle recurring theme of the whole album, which develops a close intimacy and captivates by its analogue warmth, which you can t escape of. tender strings float on vibrant drums and wafting surfaces. the album features the japanese artist cokiyu, her voice in combination with the arrangement form a symbiotic relationship and evolve wearing lights into a journey through slowly drifting electronica landscapes. the field recordings, which were made - inter alia - in iceland s rough countryside, are particularly noticeable between the lines and infuse the soul of the album as well as the love to detail in general. a total of nine tracks are featured on the album, which convince not only by their sound density and close interconnectedness, but also by the shift in emotions. music, that is enjoyable at your home as well as on the dancefloor and - after all -just touches your body and soul.

pablo cahn is a talented producer hailing from and currently residing in bogota, colombia. “soul rain” is his third release on cadenza, and it comes with a massive remix by the spanish don paco osuna. the original mix of pablo is a long attractive dance floor tune textured by an overwhelming bass line and a deluge of vocal grains that shapes a large number of fills and break downs all over the track. as the journey go further, a complex twist of harmonies and resonances arise from the rhythmic grounds, shining over a blissful body of beats. paco osuna’s remix recap all the rhythmic elements and shrink the vocal drizzle maintaining their relevance to the building of the track. the bare inter-twin of its relentless bass line and its stinging hi-hats works out a magnificent outbreak of the dense original tissue of chords.

formed from plastics and particulars by richard chartier, 2015: >i am lonely, yet i feel wonderful< pinkcourtesyphone is a continuing project by los angeles-based sound artist richard chartier. he is considered one of the key figures in the current of reductionist sound art which has been termed both microsound and neo-modernist. chartier s minimalist digital work explores the inter-relationships between the spatial nature of sound, silence, focus, perception and the act of listening itself.

medical records continues it s fascination with all things mark van hoen this time presenting the sole album release by autocreation entitled mettle . autocreation was formed in 1992 when mark van hoen was roomates in west london with the other members kevin hector and tara patterson. kevin and tara as dj s at the university of london, tara had recorded with the hafler trio prior to this the 3 lived in an apartment block that was full of acid house devotees, djs, and house producers. the 3 friends spent a lot of time in cutting-edge london clubs which inspired and influenced their music. a remix they worked on - seefeel s -plainsong- became the blueprint the autocreation sound, as well as feeding back into seefeel s sound on their own subsequent material. autocreation were heavily influcenced by contemporary dub techno such as basic channel, mika vanio as well as more pure techno such as kirk degiorgio and jeff mills. they recorded the album in late 1993, sandwiched between the recording of van hoen s locust album weathered well and his collaboration with seefeel s darren seymour aurobindo:involution . the album notably features heavy use of modular synthesizers (aries 300, digisound 80 and others), quite unique for a techno record of the time. the album was released on the orb s label inter-modo on cd only - directly following the orb s collaboration with robert fripp (ffwd). artwork was designed by the designers republic - responsible for the vast majority of warp records catalog and various releases by the orb. the album is a dark, brooding ambient techno masterpiece. similar in vein to locust s weathered well but more techno/idm genre compliant that made it at times dance floor compatible. for this special edition (first time on vinyl), the album is expanded to a double lp featuring bonus tracks. the jacket is a gatefold featuring a montage of photos in the gatefold. specially remastered by mark van hoen. presented on limited edition high quality double 160-gram classic black vinyl. for fans of early locust, dark ambient techno, and early 90s dance floor friendly idm.

vermillion lands with an inter-stellar remix package. french techno connoisseur agoria leads us on a minimal, spaced out trip through shining synths and swift vocal echoes. acclaimed house maverick and hot creations head honcho jamie jones has been closing his dj sets for the last few weeks with his own remix. its bouncing, old school house tip bounding beneath bright gospel turns of phrase, approaching near classic status with arms aloft receptions on the dancefloor. and finally berlin’s deniz kurtel, who pulls her penchant for polyrhythmic percussion to the fore, casting sweet tribal grooves across an original surely destined to become a dancefloor anthem this summer.

apartment returns with a release exploring 3 facets of house music all inter-connected by the vocals of uk soul & rnb singer, greg blackman (bbe music). steve leggets (four hands, claremont 56) original believe mix, the catalyst for the project, is an expansive 10 minute-plus journey through wistful dub lead by blackmans soaring vocals. on the flip mark hand (signals from the north) delivers a re-working, sculpting a beautiful, sun-kissed masterpiece featuring drums and percussion by darren moore alongside hands inspired playing on the rhodes and moog. to close out the release ncw finally makes a return to apt and subsequently gets lost in the dmz pitching and twisting blackmans vocals over a pulsating, bumping house banger.

here is the second vinyl only instalment from farfromnormal records, with a fantastic 4 track ep from the young upcoming producer jamie haus, this record hold s 3 original tracks from jamie and a amazing remix from the young romanian groovesh. this record has a totally different vibe compared to the labels first release with a much heavier techno roll. mattur is a good example of this, whilst inter finds jamie haus on a much darker, dub vibe. meiose is packed with a fantastic rolling kick with atmospheric noises in the back, whilst the groovesh remix comes with that brilliant romanian touch that everyone is asking for

sev dah brings his brand of powerful, no-nonsense techno with the mighty, pounding xanax. life of the unborn takes a more experimental approach and offers a dark and haunting soundscape. inter gritty is on remix duty, stripping it down and turning the ep around with his jacking, chicago-inspired take on xanax.

at the end of 2013, boston bun released his second ep, *flasher*, on ed banger. the three tracks were hypnotic and tailored for clubs. they were played on the radio (bbc1, le mouv, france inter) and also by the best djs on the electro scene (2manydjs, skream, duke dumont, erol alkan, surkin, boys noize, daniel avery…). boston buns new ep, *we got soul*, is a great step. vocals are more important than ever, it is club music with soul! *we got soul* features bear who? (dj sneaks voice) on vocal. it is an anthem-tribute to the mongoloids, boston buns main influence that adds a contemporary flavour to the special scene. the b-side, *time bomb* (featuring the dj/singer piu piu) is an emotional growing track, between pads and explosion. with such a unique and breakthrough sound, boston bun establishes further more among the french producers who really matter.

three live recorded hardware jams from abygatan, norrkoping, sweden. ntta11 are nihad tule and inter gritty, and an array of old and new machines. this ep offers a trippier take on live techno than their first 11-, but still very much pure-bred techno all the way. except the closing meta incognita, which is something else. we re not quite sure what.

wanda group, aka louis johnstone, is the latest artist to release a record with notown recordings. an artist who *creates beautiful, decayed landscapes of tape crackle, hiss and distortion* (the quietus), the music of wanda group is an other-worldly collage of sounds that touch on musique concrete and other forms of oblique, densely beautiful sounds.

after functions epic debut album incubation had several months to breathe, ostgut ton issues four remixes by function contemporaries rrose, vatican shadow, recondite and nsi. spread over 4 sides of vinyl they paint a picture rich in texture and atmospheres fitting its origin.

three years ago, baths dropped his startlingly beautiful debut, cerulean. released on anticon, the record blurred the line between post-modern pop and the la beat scene with devastating emotional clarity. its tone was as celestial as its album title, taken from a shade of blue typically used to describe the sky.
cerulean earned year-end best-of recognition from pitchfork and the onions a.v. club and established chatsworth-raised will wiesenfeld as one of the finest young composers (and falsettos) in los angeles. his sophomore album, obsidian, finds him emerging as one of the most complete artists of his generation. as you might expect, the name hints at darker overtones. the mood is shimmering and pitch-black, the lovely blood flow has turned into lava.

israel has proved a hotbed for electronic music of late, with talent such as guy gerber, shlomi aber, guy j, and more all making quite an impression on the global scene. an israeli producing for lithunian label might seem like an unlikely combination then, but omer grinker s esteemed debut for parallel is a release that as its tittle suggest under water .the young tel aviv native boasts all the hallmarks of his fellow countrymen then, with the tittle track a brillantly clever anthem that flirts openly with various genres while maintaining a shrewd deep house edge. fans of trippy, multi layered house music are sure to embrace this one.sonic intricacies hold the key to seen or not seen , another record that s been scrupulously produced with even more off-kilter motifs playing their part. pitched back andever so detailed, it chops and changes with the sort of deviousness typically associated with warp s back catalogue.the last of the three originals, under water, emphasises the producer s credentials with more lackadaisical piano inter-changes an underbelly of simmmmmmmmering percussion and portentous chimes all playing key roles.label owners monkey brothers then beef up the latter with a remix that s basking in steday groove and even more suggestive vibes.a thriling and seductive package that indicative of the protagonist s musical nous, makes sense is a record that serves up a fascinating journey throghout. omer grinker is a producer you shoud keep in your radar.
