doorly s reptile dysfunction continues to prove itself to be one of the most vibrant and singular labels around. this time tapping up legendary producer jaydee for its latest release. jaydee is a dance music pioneer. best know for the seminal plastic dreams - a track that. somewhat terrifyingly for those who remember it the first time around. will be celebrating its 25 th anniversary next year - he has continued to be a leading light in innovative house and techno productions. releasing on r&s and ellum audio in the last few years. here. he teams up with fellow dance music visionary doorly for a searingly brilliant release on the latter s reptile dysfunction imprint. acid pressure ep presents two original cuts from jaydee. with supporting remixed from doorly and trooko. kicking things off. back into acid opens with stunningly heartfelt pads before building to a killer acid line via shimmering percussion and erotically charged vocal snatches. bring the pressure is more direct: a house roller softened by basic channel-esque chords and with added rhythm courtesy of the accompanying ragga chants. on the remix front. doorly flips back into acid into something far more menacing. with fierce synths stabs and rolling drums creating a head down stomper. while trooko chops back into pressure into pieces. crafting a thumping main room house cut from the constituent parts. complete with an epic. piano-led breakdown.

launching in november of 2009. subb-an & adam shelton present one records. cultivated directly from four years experience at the helm of below. one of the uks most upfront and authentic underground parties. the label aims to encapsulate the energy and dexterity of artists and crowds the night has connected with most.
fresh new uk label with two killer tracks that will turn some heads. amazing piece of house music that is working like madd without using the standard cliches. a accomplishment by this young producer neinzer in these days of looking back! opening with a funked up track that goes somewhere between things we know from shake and recloose but comparing it to others isnt doing the track any justice. flip side cranks the tempo up and gives a mad techno piece with some sample trickery. best start a label could wish!

after the first ricardo tobar remix edition (featuring remixes by john tejada and fairmont) on cocoon recordings we are proud to present the next chapter with remixes by lawrence and midnight operator (mathew and nathan jonson). 2016 seems to continue as we started it: with high quality music by great artists presenting us amazing techno in an unique and tasty style. midnight operator. the joint project of the two jonson brothers. picked tobars angora for their remix and the result appears very fresh and housey. their bassline programming adds a nice italo-disco vibe to their version of angora.
you have classics and then you have this - strings of life. the two original versions as they appeared on the original pressing in 1987 backed with the ultimate flanger track kaos (juice bar mix) on the b-side. long out of print... now back on transmat classics!
drumma records turns 5 years old and to celebrate our anniversary we have prepared a very special ep. we are proud to release the long awaited collaborative project between ricardo villalobos and umho known as >ricmho.< ricardo and umho are friends since 20 years. for the first time ever they came together to make this vinyl. the tracks were produced last winter in berlin during their tour. the bond that ricardo and umho share for latin american music is present in both tracks. there are rhythmic and textural microworlds along with amazing syncopation and evocative melodies. these are fundamental traits of the latin american continent and integral elements of this duos musical language. 180g vinyl. shrinked and fullcover print.
selected advent deal .after an ep on creme organization off-shoot jericho one as dj plant texture. dona basile now assumes his dona alias for a new ep on the main label. entitled the v.g.p sessions. it features four new cuts from the italian. with three of them being dj pt mixes. up first is a live cut version of energia . a bristling electro track with globular bass and coarse hits. turbulent but full of synth based serenity. it is a fine start. cigarettes (djpt mix) is rugged and broken. with glossy idm synths and corrugated drums all loosely arranged into something prickly and unsettling. the deads at twelve (djpt mix) then gets even more fucked up. with rusty synths and blown out drums making for a dystopian house groove that will likely soundtrack the apocalypse. last but not least. nr. 13 (djpt mix) mixes up detroit synths. wild acid. heavenly chords and chopped up. buried deep vocal samples into something that will fire every synapse in your body. this is outlier stuff from dona that sounds like little else.
to the untrained ear a collaboration between mosaic boss steve o sullivan and minimal house maestro ricardo villalobos may not seem like the most obvious sound clash. however. dig a little deeper and you ll find that both these artists have a long history and shared love of stripped back aesthetics and dubbed out rhythms carving out respective sounds that have never strayed far from their roots. sullric is the result of a daylong session at the end of 2016 where the pair plugged in. switched on and set everything to cycle: recording several hours worth of material to tape with an edit of their favourite passage worked into two versions in post-production.
part of serialism 10th year celebrations comes from two of romania s -ones to watch-. cristi cons a:rpia:r / amphia) & sublee (body parts / delooped). they turn and step in to the arena for serialism records 40th release. the -you and me- ep displays the duos versatility and production flair with 3 forward thinking tracks that glide in between house and techno effortlessly with that minimal swing that is romania’s and serialism’s signature.
great all time classic track from blake baxter ... our luv ... this unique acidic house was released first in 1997 on disko b (the h-factor. album) . than pokerflats steve bug licensed this one for his sublabel >raw elements<. (various - da minimal funk 2. raw626). eleven years later (heavy demanded) blakes classic strikes back on decks classix ! a special tip for those who knows!!
part 2 of the unreleased gemz series presented by phoenix g. this release features a very special coloured / handstamped 12” with 4 unreleased heavy mr.g cuts. this slice of vinyl contains 4 cuts that represent the different styles g has done over the years. from an emotive vocal laden deep jam to an oldschoolish banger.
as much as. in modern days. it has become increasingly difficult to pin things down to a specific genre this release brings very defined genres but also a refreshing feature. a constant change of energy in one single track. and most importantly. it all comes with this modern feel to it which indicates it is the new generation rising making justice to what ultrastretch stands for. surfacing fresh and new talents. signed by austrian duo foehn & jerome. the a side is of the ep consists of the genius idea that it is a relatively simple track. however. with the feel that so much is happening. the type when you listen to a loop but one you can listen to forever and not get tired of it. always the best sign. a rolling and constant bassline makes it into a super fat and rounded dancefloor groover. while on top you have these fragments of chopped up vocal samples in and out creating a sense of confusion. a mind drilling element is then complemented by very loose and fine hihats floating around. on the b side starts with quirky minimal track with a galloping kick throughout. when the open hihats slam in with a vocal it quickly develops into a very happy and playful housy vibe and just when you are riding. the clap slams in now on a tighter hat sequence followed by the break and rebuilding. when it comes back however it adds another element changing the energy yet again. through introducing a synthline. the quirky frog sounding noises throughout certainly makes it a super witty track overall.
the snooze fest is over and we’re back in the saddle with the first output from colin la plante aka the mole aka half owner of this imprint. he’s been touring up a storm and playing out a lot of new music we’re excited to share with you this year.
spicy noodles are something colin thinks everyone can love…not one at a time…but by the bowl.
this four tracker definitely shows off “new directions” for the mole – nothing too outlandish mind you. but the path he chose with the title and crowd favourite “gelb grun blau” definitely has these tracks leaning towards the centre of a dj sets vs. beginning or end…spiralling kick drums with a fine grind blend of digital synths. analog synths. drum machines and the occasional samples here. vape-house anyone?
the closer “back in the studio game” is a beatless one created just for the sunrises of your life.
after a career spanning more than 25 years john beltran lands on the belgian de:tuned label with the long-awaited follow-up album to his widely acclaimed classic 90s masterpiece “ten days of blue”. on “moth” beltran opens his heart by combining melody. emotion and soul with infectious grooves. as such he lays down the definitive and timeless detroit sound with a clear nod to the early innovators. from 4/4 dance floor burners to tribal shufflers and ambient interludes. “moth” is a well-balanced journey full of blissful atmosphere for both the mind and feet.
the matching artwork was designed by the talented plastica from spain. matt colton took care of the mastering duties to ensure the highest playback quality. the album will be released as a 180 gr vinyl double pack.
de:tuned would like to thank john and everyone that has been involved in the making of this wonderful album. stay tuned!
benny rodrigues is arguably one of the biggest djs on the dutch scene. performing at some of the worlds biggest events from awakenings & mysterland to underground spots such as berghain & dekmantel. as the phrase goes “get yourself a man that can do both”. cocaine speaking is a dutch acid anthem in two parts. complete with a alden tyrell remix!
beautiful melodic driving techno by hiver. especially the title track stands out with a killer remix from jp enfant that adds some bottom weight and masculanity to the original! the italian pair of giuseppe albrizio and sergio caio recently released on belgium s curle label. and this ep confirms their talent. three original tracks ranging from driving techno to electro-tinged broken beat territory. with watery sound design. liquid keys and icy hi hats getting you into a trance. nice!!
uk producers sween and dawl deviate from their usual homebase of their own tone dropout label to deliver a solid 4 track ep on berlin based klasse wrecks. classic electro influences mix with breakbeat flavours to produce a fantastic and energetic collection of tracks. part sci-fi terror. part alien-invasion...all good!
wow. now we re talking. all time classic material right here from the strictly archives. the legendary man of many hats armand van helden dropped this almighty. hypnotic slab of deepness under his mole people guise in the mists of 1995. a total deep house classic indeed. dreamy. driving. dubby. hypnotic. narcotic - it has it all. super long tracks. for the dj s to work and for the dancers to get fully lost in. break night is colossal. this one will literally transport the dance-floor to another dimension. guaranteed. sounding as fresh and as relevant as ever. timeless. ocean on the flip steps up the toughness factor with some super hard. swingin nyc drumz. but it still has that otherworldly edge that the a-side drenched us in previously. a near perfect record here. made available again. undoubtedly this will win a new legion of fans it s that good! this one s a tasty 2017 reissue and remaster. featuring both cuts. unedited. as per the original release way back when. essential stuff here. do not sleep.
say what you wanna say. but you have to give strahil velchev this: the manÆs a powerhouse. recording and playing live under the kink alias. he went on to become one of finest purveyorÆs of funk in techno and house. what it is. by definition. ainÆt exactly clear. and that is the beauty of it. kinkÆs music is unifying in the best possible way. channeling the spirit and feeling of a time where it didnÆt really matter who the faces behind the music were. kink plays with the elements of genres and sub-genres as if the future of it all is still wide-open. at the same time it could be accused of retro-fetishism. as much as the pope himself is infallible. the pure need to recreate moments. feelings and experience - rather than carbon copies of existing designs - was what started kinkÆs production work. hailing from bulgaria. it was nearly impossible to get your hands on all the records and music that fed into a system of raves. clubs and record shops that seemed far away from sofia. and financially it might as well have meant another galaxy. wanting to dj without having access to the tracks that spun the carousel meant that you had to create them yourselves. so. here we go with a private bootlegger gone public mastermind and one of the loudest voices in house. techno and beyond. from kinkÆs early productions with neville watson to his smash-hit for ovum. a cerebral album for macro. tons of remixes & tracks and his mind-bending live act. playground seems to take all that into a blender. simultaneously a sound-summary. the harvest of a field of ideas. and the exhibition of an artist in his prime. it also works as a sort of kink dictionary: avant-garde soundscapes stand next to boisterous bangers. classic club tracks and peak time emotions
as one third of the lisiere collectif. andu simion learned early and often how to take a dancefloor on a hypnotic. grooving journey throughout the night. now he’s standing solo on the next release on eric cloutier’s palinoia label. delivering four bubbling. seductive house grooves for any hour of the party. from the evolving -heavy glow- to the proper house banger -gen y all.- this ep is a sure win for anyone looking to get a little sideways.
dj koyote has long been a dab hand at discerning house music. thankfully. his latest offers more of the same. seeing the light of day on his own supergenius records imprint. france n trance sees the french producer perk up with no less than five original cuts. each of which boasts its own inimitable charm. opening up the release is the sounds of the title track. a melancholy effort full of warm. hazy vibes. its skipping. playful ethos is characterised by its twinkling. charming melodies. a smile-inducing track that s sure to prompt delirium on the floor. it gets us underway with some distinction. hey baby sees the producer opt for more uptempo strands. featuring a killer hip hop vocal sample and a series of off-kilter elements. it s a completely different proposition to what s come before - albeit one that emphasises the producer s knack for the unpredictable. just a young thing sees the producer hark bark to vintage chicago times with a jam that could well have been lifted from trax s back catalogue. full of booming kicks. claps and snares. this one plays out like a modern interpretation of a classic armando joint. the quite expertly names ladonna is an exercise is peak-time funk flavours. before business class sees us out the door with another track that suited to the night s most fervent moments. an industrial-tinged track of techno persuasions. it s a hot and heaving effort that s as likely to leave you in a cold sweat as it is reaching for the lasers. there s no doubt about it - koyote s latest is a triumph from the beginning to the end.
berlin based producer zigan aldi has always been open for different cultural influences in his music. an openess that might go back to his own background since zigan had been brought up in the eastern part of turkey. before he moved to germany when he was 14. apart from working in various jobs it was always the music that kept him going and let him experience his true passion. after releasing music on bedouin’s label truecolors or 3000 grad it was about time his diverse music finds another home on underyourskin records. therefore zigan delivers four exclusive tracks that depict his approach to electronic music with a mostly downtempo vibe. ‘luton’. ‘seems to be’ and ‘olin’ follow the path of the label’s as well as zigan’s philosophy: a slightly oriental influence that meets darker multi-layered synth chords to create significant atmospheres that can work at any time at the club. ‘miracle’ featuring sandeck is just what the track title suggest: a musical miracle. as the track slowly enfolds its groove to the audience. it is the guitar riffs and the vocals that sum up magic of this track at this very intimate moment.
rebolledo’s you and your hippie friends imprint grows its groove footprint on international dance floors with the full-length debut of gÜero. the latest vinyl outing from the hippie dance sister label and also its first fully fledged album project. to attentive hippie friends. the artist name should ring a big. funky bell – one that sounds exactly like the cut “convertible ride” from the notorious “a very nice combinado volume uno” 12” release (yayhf 01). back then. our hero was travelling under the somewhat more convoluted “el güero fresa” monicker. but has since dropped some of those conceptual pounds in an effort to reach maximum sleekness. in the same vein. his debut album is a testament to ultimate funk-a-ficiency. digging deep into fizzy arpeggios and chunky basslines - and the occasional guitar cameo. giving tracks such as bubbling synth opener elektronique. the neon-lit night cruising. bouncing electro disco roller alto final or the programmatic space drifter just that little extra riff.
julien sandre and mennie return under their jarau guise this january with the saturn system ep. set for release via visionquests special edition sub-label. julien sandre and mennie return under their jarau guise this january with the saturn system ep. set for release via visionquest’s special edition sub-label. france’s julian sandre and italy’s mennie have both individually carved out quite the career over the past decade with the former racking up releases on blindbox. franck roger’s home invasion and e wax amongst others. and the latter holding a residency at tenax club in italy and collaborating togheter on releases for poker flat and housewax of late. 2017 also saw their collaborative debut as jarau which came courtesy of the revered pleasure zone imprint. now returning for their second ep under this new guise the pair join the roster of visionquest special edition with saturn system and taking the lead is le voyage a snaking journey through billowing synth swells. jangling percussive chimes and organic drums before dubhe strips the vibe back to modulating resonant synths. shuffled stripped-back rhythms and lumpy sub bass tones. adrienne opens the flip side with the focus on a swinging drum groove as airy atmospherics ebb and flow throughout. hypnotize then rounds out the package and as the name would suggest relies on subtle nuances to draw you deeper and deeper into the intricately programmed percussion and smoothly blooming synth flourishes.

from the redwood forests of big sur and the industrial warehouses of downtown los angeles comes pfeiffer. a label dedicated to quality and a diverse musical output. pfeiffer follows in the footsteps of labels such as svek and kompakt. known for releasing a wide range of techno and house with a common thread of unique and unpredictable energy. looking to bring this type of eclectic curation into the modern era. pfeiffer draws inspiration from the raw simplicity and effortless magnetism of its namesake location on the central coast of california. february 9th marks the release of pfeiffers first musical offering. a-side big tent sets the tone with raw. minimal percussion and acid tinged melodies. b-side twist brings a healthy dose of chicago and detroit influence to a track that feels colder than house. but warmer than techno. the first of many releases to come. pfe001 marks the tip of the iceberg for pfeiffer. a label which will continue to reveal itself over time.
nice price deal !!! after ab initio 04 comes…ab initio 05… sometimes it really is that simple! what is not so simple however is how sebastian san manages to always stick to his sound and still deliver one fresh release after another. the fifth installment of his own ab initio imprint is no different: three absolute storming tracks bringing you that typical vibe to make you lose your mind and body. >photonics< takes up the complete a-side. tweaking and twirling with heavenly chords and synths. it is one of those tracks you can play to really lock dancers into your groove. >horsepower< is a bit of a rougher affair with a serious oldskool chicago twist. but still very much sebastien san of course. >kepler 22 b< rounds off the e.p. in style with a minimal dubby workout that should have maurizio fans storming to the booth for a track i.d. in a matter of seconds. three different tracks. three times 110% sebastien san quality. bring on ab initio 06 please!
