1970, ethel agee, a local self-taught musician, and her two brothers rev. dorosco scarber and preston scarber hit the studio and recorded ethel s original composition traveling home-, a gospel piece that has remained under the radar until very recently . ethel s on piano playing as her and her brothers vocals soar above rock solid chugging funk drums, way ahead of their time.
this is the second vinyl release coming from petter prestons new solo career as an artist. it has got four amazing tracks made under the serious influence of global clubbing in moscow. enjoy this limited press and stay tuned.
peter presto is not only the founder of pingipung, he is also the chap who did the first release on the label in 2002. since then all of his dub sounds have been available on 7inches, cause its simply the best format for these little gems. for summer of seven he has reworked a theme from a classic computergame adventure in his very own vivid, happy-go-lucky dub style. peter loves the melodies!
rick preston with this new 12 from the worship label. >the magnet< is a chunky, percussive houser for the peaktime crowds, with dubby stabs and vocals mixing it up with a steady bassline, and great drum patterns, while swirling effects top the whole track off nicely. on the reverse, its heavy dubs all the way on a thick, syrupy helping of dub-house, packed with ragga goodness.
check out the first release of funky fruit records: eric preston presents teknopunx. it is a limited picture-disc edition. including the main mix by roberto didio and a hot minimal mix by sachi toyama. the vinyl contains pictures from the swiss porn star louisa lamour, who supported us with her pics.

six artists remix the rich sound material from sven kacireks lp >scarlet pitch dreams< (pingipung 32, april 2012). svens original percussion recordings and his densely layered melodies invite for a rework which fo- cuses on the single elements. robert lippok (to rococo rot, raster noton) turns the title track into a balearic sunshine dance until the voice and synthlines evoke a deep and driving witchhouse at- mosphere. absolutely awesome remix! opiate aka thomas knak from denmark (morr music) is one of pingipungs favourite artists in the world and we are very happy to have his remix included here. his highly individual syncopating beat works dive into the pool of svens percussions, with the snare and marimba always in the foreground.
