afterlife recordings continues its focus on emerging talent with the first solo ep of aether, following his collaboration with mind against on -solaris- and a track on the realm of consciousness compilation. from the textured atmospherics, harmonies and innovative sound design, it’s clear aether has found his voice already. balanced between the powerful, emotive techno afterlife is known for and more introspective experimentation, the three tracks share a tonal richness and patient headspace, lending themselves to the dreamy hours on the dancefloor.

terje saether and robert solheim met at a party they both played at, clicked and started playing together. this soon lead to this, their first collaboration. dinky, of norway and fredrik bekkaasen loved the project and was happy to contribute with their remixes. this is the result, the ep tres hermanas . the fourth sister, dolores, disappeared along the way, but will hopefully return for the digital release. finally the four hermanas will be reunited.

letherette step back up with a new release on their own imprint wulf records with ep4. letherette has released music on labels ho-tep and more recently ninja tune, but after starting their own label wulf at the end of last year have already released ep s 1.2,3, brown lounge vol 3 and now ep4. letherettes signature chops can be heard throughout ep4 from the disco cuts of flowatch to the piano slices of feel it. all mastered to cassette this ep centres around the dance floor but stays true to letherettes sound and melodies.

for its very first vinyl release after 2 years of activity in the digital realm, experimental ambient label arythmic records from strasbourg (france) did a rather bold choice by putting its hopes into a local techno artist well known for its open-mindedness and creativity: letherique. after over a year of various experiments, the best ideas were selected and compiled into a series of 3 eps, each one dedicated to a particular vibe. the first part is about the more synthetic and futuristic outcome. the second one will be rather dark and organic. finally, the third and last one will be about the more experimental and minimalistic remainder. taking from many influences way beyond the world of casual techno music, letherique ended up crafting unexpected techno tunes, usually starting with an ambient base on which he couldnÕt help himself adding beats in order to develop what he knew best. after years of activity in the dark, he needed something a little bit special to put into what he could proudly call his first ep as a testament of his passion for the infinite realms of the electronic music genre. these were the perfect fit.

after his 2012 starpatch release on red rack em s bergerac imprint it seemed seetheroad has retired from music. now he is back - as the very first uk artist in the history of tape hiss - with four twisted pieces halfway between techno and electronica. it’s a kind gesture to the label he gave a hungarian title to the ep. cédrus Út means cedar road, what was his previous location and inspired his artist name at the same time.
