cometh the tma-1 ep on space cadets, with asc kicking off 2012 in style after a hugely prolific 2011. demonstrating a number of musical influences whilst fusing them all together in a truly original manner, the tma-1 ep showcases the diversity of james clements productions.
opening with a menacing atmosphere, tma-1 evolves into the classy aqualoop, a stripped back underwater exploration. on the flip, esper provides some steppy funk before exiting with a trip through the atmospheric plains of sarang.

following up from his 001 release on space cadets, russian maverick oak brings the deepness again with asc on remix duties. intricate drum programming, a trademark of oaks sound, is ever-present on the a-side complimented by old-school stabs, chopped vocals and distant atmospheres. the result is a melting together of sounds, grooves and influences that make this perhaps our favourite oak bit at space cadets hq so far. on the b-side asc gives otaku a catchy dancefloor groove. staying true to the original melody but introducing a pumping bassline and rolling drums, this atmospheric number harks back to ascs earlier works. he himself has admitted this has been one of his favourite remixes of late, and its clear to see he had fun making this one.
