keeping up the pace rolling nicely into our third release of 2018 we welcome onto etg yet more italian techno precision, this time from francesco profeti and pietro franchini aka hertz collision. responsible for a myriad of very stand out tracks such as “lost” and “all going” they have been remixed by the likes of kwartz and appeared on labels such as frozen border and dynamic reflection.
it’s been a pleasure putting the release together with the guys, receiving tracks and agreeing on artwork. as with every etg this release shows the full spectrum of their talent and their own individual take on techno. as ever it’s double a side. also special mention to programma 101 who features on track aa3.

nice price deal !!! another bomb on uncage! this ep is heavily influenced by that berlin techno modular sound, kicking off with >terraforming< and its percussive swing coupled with synthetic percussive riffs twisting in and out the mix. >monastero< is a slow builder of a track, a haunting synth line accompanies firing hi-hats. head down late-night moments are to be had with >exoplanet< with a low key acid line slicing through the background, leading us into >solar shade<. the lead track has a low-end rumbling sub, deep and powerful with an eerie vibe.

hertz collision takes over the third release on kwartz’s label order&devotion. the italian duo, whom have released on labels such as frozen border, deliver a moderated charming trip leaded by melodies. on the b side the label honcho and polegroup affiliated, kwartz, assumes the remix duties. adding some electric sounds and increasing the intensity delivered by the original. undoubtedly this two tracker shapes even more the already reputable sound signature of the imprint, with a prospect to the future.

>v1<, the latest release on renowned dj marco faraone and his partner norman methners uncage imprint, is a selection of tracks from europes finest upcoming producers of the techno genre. parisian producers, kas:st, berlin based artist modig, italian duo, hertz collision and producer black stone, all bring their raw producing talents to this release and the uncage label. founded in 2015, uncage continues to give free expression to established as well as upcoming artists without any compromises. the label aims to focus on pure underground quality and dynamic rising talents in the scene.

the second release on persistence is a “split”, on a-side there are the label’s boss manuel di martino with an original track called “moments” and two fantastic remix from xhei and mattia trani. on b-side whe have hertz collision with their track “she was my treasure” and a very mental remix from mental resonance.

invite’s choice records continues on the path chosen with a 3-track vinyl release which showcases some new and well-established names. hertz collision has the honour of being chosen to be the only artist showcasing a track on the a-side. this eerie, melodic track sets quite a special mood for the ep to start with. the b-side is opened by wrong assessment with a track that’s focussed on the low-end. this synth-driven track fits well in the mood set on the a-side, but continues with a heavier drive. the droning kick draws you in and makes you want to go dance the day away in smoke-filled rooms. savas pascalidis finishes the ep off with a banger true to his own style that relies on the drummachine for’s swing. this oldschool, loopy techno banger closes another outstanding ep by invite’s choice records.

collision ep brings 4 acid banging tunes, dark and insane as excpected, with one superb tune, called supernova (a2), playing the acid break pressure leading to the beat.

mister ho and heap are ambassadors of the river danube. this is their first offering for the esp institute. on side a, collision resistance throws us into the bowels of an underground sex lair with an adrenaline-laden heartbeat for a kick drum, a rough dose of fisting illustrated by the combination of bassline with low-tom and an unrelenting snare that whips us raw into submission. somewhere in between the waves of punishment we can start to audibly pick up tortured moans of endurance and pleasure, but maybe its time we pull our minds from the gutter, wipe the sweat from our brow and flip the record for a reward. with side b’s veils of the beloved, mister ho & heap deliver us via speedboat to the white isle, coasting along to bouncy staccato bass notes and machine bleeps as a euphoric chord progression puts us in an 808 state of mind. the percussion arrangement and phasing string flourishes are introduced through a filter, opening slowly as if coming up for air from a beautiful blue abyss. these two songs are neither too salty nor too sweat
