toronto hustles kick their ep off with the classic house sound of in your mind . mr fingers style bassline over chunky chords and a well chosen rasta vocal sample builds an infectious house groove. just enough is perfect terrace material and will keep those early morning deep house heads happy. the raw cut brings a tougher groove to the ep, reminiscent of that roper mid 90 s us house sound from chicago.

for our 10th release, we have compiled a double-vinyl package featuring various artists who hail from our hometown of toronto. with music from veteran and new names in equal measure, the collection is as diverse as the city’s influences. the common thread throughout — and the ethos of our label — is dance music with a future-facing bent.

the fourth release on the martinez brothers’ cuttin’ headz imprint, the bros from the bronx come up with some old school flavored house vibes with their remix of the basement jaxx feat. sneak “sneakin’ toronto”. they snagged the remix package from the veteran electronic music duo as a lead in to the basement jaxx full length album “juno” expected to be released later in the fall on atlantic jaxx / pias. the vocal version features a flurry of different spoken word phrases chopped up and filtered. the dub is for the vocal-phobic members of the public - a bubbly slice of jackin’ house that will brighten the dance floor.

toronto native and production chameleon sean miller joins the ranks of josh winks ovum recordings. after recent releases from the likes of wink himself and vince watson (who released the labels 250th release at the end of 2014), miller takes the helm for this bumping, grooving slice of tech house mastery with a latin twist.

his style is a fascinating mix of house, electro and techno including all sub genres. after his debut album alles wird gut on beatmodul records in early 2007, which was supported by djs like steve angello or sebastien leger this track has a lugging electro bassline with a stomping kick in the beginning. squired by a discreet tricky melody which works with several highs and depths the track is getting a brandnew style from the middle on which gives it a big kick. as remixers we could manage the swedish superstar jeff bennett (malmo) and kaiser souzai.
