cosmos 2043 is a wild, science fiction-themed library lp by french synthesizer wizard bernard fvre. released in 1977, fvre imagines a far future populated by space-age electronics and lush, vivid melody. this edition has also been treated to a remaster from the original tapes by fvre. the vinyl lp includes a download code.

molten moods releases another finely curated various artists record with tracks by skee mask, kessel vale, jonas yamer and konrad wehrmeister. kessel vales opening track -voguing geisha- is an unconventional breakbeat masterpiece following his sense of harmony and rhythm already shown through previous releases on tanstaafl records and rhythm nation. as the track unfolds it reveals musical storytelling by integrating a technoid polyrhythmic loop structure into melodic synth figures, slowly deconstructing in the end. skee mask collaborated with molten moods labelhead and carl gari member jonas yamer on -fanta ocean-, it being the first release ever outside of his ilian tape homebase. the outcome is a moody idm piece with cinematic qualities, complex but soothing. the b-side begins with -xenomorph- by konrad wehrmeister, who is known by his releases on public possession and svs records. this trancy yet distorted and detailed electro banger surely takes on the role of the records dancefloor highlight. the closing track -insgeheim- is delivered by molten moods head honcho jonas yamer. here groovy kicks, distorted chords and a psychedelic pad are woven into one compelling 10 am techno track. the common thread of molten moods 4 is four young munich artists going on a joint trip into idiosyncratic electronic music. the resulting tracks intertwine as one modern and diverse techno record. out on 12&#8243,, vinyl and wav by the end of march 2018. in the tradition of molten moods cost-conscious design strategies by paul bernhard, the record comes with a xeroxed low budget sticker set. mastered by manmade.

demuja joins the madhouse roster this march with come to me, a four track ep featuring french/australian singer ladybird and a folamour remix of the title track. after various releases on the likes of nervous records, rtct records, and his own label muja, austria’s bernhard weiss aka demuja joins madhouse with some fresh material following last year’s output on house puff and freerange. the release opens with title track come to me, a rough and ready lo-fi number featuring a soulful sample, and blissful stabs of horns and strings. following is the folamour’s lost in eden remix, twisting the original into a balearic, sun-drenched vibe, contrasting the original and bringing a more funk-infused, melodious feel to things. up next is the second original on the release take which employs classic house tropes with a nod to the 90s via catchy horns and a new jersey garage/house beat. free me feat ladybird then closes the package, taking you on a silky smooth house journey, with ladybirds dazzling vocals taking center stage.

das 1972 erschienene selbstbetitelte debütalbum der deutschen gruppe oratorium ist eines jener seltenen alben, die in einer gewissen mystik gehüllt sind. dies ist ein album das dich in eine heilige und übernatürliche welt einlädt, zu einem kompromisslosen religiös-progressiven rock. unter der leitung von komponist bernhard hornig wurde die band 1967 unter dem namen christliche einheit mit dem schwerpunkt auf religiöser musik gegründet. die ursprüngliche besetzung der band bestand aus drei brüdern und zwei klassenkameraden, alle noch jugendliche zu der zeit. die hornig-brüder waren die kreativen köpfe in der band. bernhard fungierte als komponist, georg kümmerte sich um das schreiben der texte und ihr jüngsten bruder rainer, der als mitglied eines berühmten deutschen jugendchores gesangsausbildung gehabt hatte, übernahm die hauptstimme.

ingeborg oehme-tröndle und regisseur heinz dieter köhler bearbeiteten den text zu einer mitreißenden hörspielfassung. die wdr-produktion aus dem jahr 1980 macht mit der musik von enno dugend und den stimmen von martin benrath, horst bollmann, bernhard minetti und vielen anderen die abenteuer in mittelerde zum absoluten hörgenuss.

jonas friedlich, better known through mistress recordings and carl gari, releases his first solo 12- on molten moods. the versatile 4 track ep starts with the rather straight -bo s breakfast- that begins with a polyrhythmic 303 bass line leading into a catchy garage-ish chorus, kicking in out of a clear sky but fittingly. -bus driver- is a wicked trip, the combination of the long acid build up and a nicely chopped vocal bit is irresistible. a proven, tested (and molten moods certified) club banger, regardless of its rather untypical breakbeat. track number 3 called -praise your name- aces groove through perfectly cut vocal samples and a fancy reference to 90s hip hop and drum n bass aesthetics. the next and last piece on the record is the eponymous -deskjet-, which is inspired by friedlichs conceptual sound art installations using printers. here rather restrained synthie lines are underpinned by a powerful kick and psychedelic tape delay noises. the 12- vinyl is handstamped on both sides. mastered and cut by scape mastering. artwork by paul bernhard.

hannover based imprint yippiee return with the outstanding come with me ep this august by manuel moreno, backed with remixes from label owners filtertypen and normen hood. this release follows the success of yippiees treibgut sonder kompilation which featured cuts from deepnhouse heavy hitters chris lattner, moritz piske, patlac and gorge to name a few. now the german imprint deliver this four track single from swiss producer manuel moreno whos releases on 8bit and dj sets at space and privilege (ibiza) have earned him a highly praised status in the underground. title track, come with me, opens the release, encompassing a boomy kick drum, tight drum programming and ethereal atmospherics to create a deep and dark distinctive quality. the inclusion of a gritty sub bassline further fuels its murky progressive vibe, while the introduction of a soulful vocal hook and bright string melodies adds a lighter touch to the composition.label owners filtertypen opt for a less is more approach to their remix of come with me. stripping back the atmospherics to a more dismantled state, the duo-apply punchy drums and a warbling sub-bass,resulting in a smooth rolling groove that runs steadily for its duration. the cut comes into fruition threeminutes in when the pair bring in an amalgamation of deep strings, synth shots and delayed fx, finely placedto create an expansive dynamism. hello bernhard employs deep worldly percussion as its driving force, while guitar licks and warm chordscreate undeniably beautiful imagery. moreno demonstrates his ability to manipulate melodies with precisionhere, introducing several elements to play off one another in a call and response fashion. last up on the wax release is im sorry, a solid slice of house built around rolling toms, sawtooth bass notes and trippy vocal murmurs. manuel utilizes heavy delays and big room reverbs to create cavernous effects in the breaks that adds an incredible weight when the preceding groove is brought back in. to close the release normen hood offers up a remix of hello bernhard as a digital bonus. applying deep house tactics, hood plays on warm piano stabs and brass hooks that deviate around the tight-knit drums for several minutes creating an epic rework.
