based in bath, uk and born out of a love for drinking tea and dusty rhythms. mint tea is a platform that searches for up and coming talent within an emerging scene. in this blend, a various artists release with producers from four different countries curated into the perfect accompaniment for late nights or early mornings. with tracks from moda, raär, akasha system and james henry the release combines a beautiful balance of influences from ambient, lo-fi, techno and house.

orbis x is a sublabel of orbis records and will be mainly focusing on softer yet often usable as dj material for the broader mass interested in electronic music. this sublabel is an extension of orbis records softer, more melodical and experimental side. music will be ranging from house, dub, chicago over melodic acid and even breaks. not any track makes it to this sublabel if it ca’t stand on its own and stand the test of time!

entering with “cruising into the storm”, a raw synth and bass propelled work-out, moda squeezes energy in ounces into a midnight ready and sweat thirsty call to action. channelling his gang starr influences, break-beats are dug, dusted off and sampled onto “4 my people”. crackling joyfully and reminiscent of the 90s, a2 is not failing.

once again trtlnck bring their functional copenhagen sound with a fifth v/a release consisting of two tracks by resonant pole on the a-side, delivering his fast-paced and raw scandinavian style with “this part of town” and “first high”. modah takes over the b-side opening with “forgot my screw, diver needed”, a razor sharp dj-tool, and riesenfeld closing this v/a installment with a melancholic and beautiful track called “for the future”.

07042016 (live at st.paul s anglican church, athens) is the debut album of modal analysis, brought by the greek experimental band of mmmd (also known as mohammad). nikos veliotis and ilios are currently performing as the mmmd duo, with further focus on deep monolithic sounds, low frequencies, inter-modulations, dark textures, and distant folk nuances through custom made instruments (cello & electronic bass) and software. the release carries parts of the mmmd live performance at st.pauls anglican church in athens, recorded on the 7th of april 2016. the concert was hosted by fasma festival, on the opening day of its 2016 edition.

after releasing eps on labels like clr, plus8, drumcode, dmt amongst others, pascual is now onboard with sino. 4 raw mental techno tracks like it should be. for nearly a decade, pascual has developed his talents as a producer, but also as a dj constantly evolving in the studio, his releases in labels like clr, plus 8 y drumcode ltd, speak for themselves.

the copenhagen based label trtlnck delivers fast paced and functional techno on their fourth v/a vinyl installment. riesenfeld opens the record with ‘auto self’ and ‘white weather’, two groove heavy tracks, while resonant pole takes over the flip-side with ‘eroticism moves’, a more trancelike take on contemporary techno, followed up by modah closing the record with ‘lasue’, a suitable tool for almost any selection. all four tracks are heavily dance floor orientated and bring the sound of the copenhagen club scene on to vinyl.

outermost (a.k.a. miltiades) - surface ep ma13 comes from another greek artist, outermost also known as miltiades. the up and coming athenian producer counts a number of recent releases with the vocalist, venus volcanism and as templeyard studio with goolyk. surface ep is a 5 tracker of different slow techno interpretations, blended with dystopian atmosheres and nostalgic melodies: outermost delivers his identical sound and enriches the modal analysis catalogue.

the twelfth modal analysis release brings athens based morah to the frontline of the label s roster, along with the new york based, vapauteen on the remix duties. voltage ep carries 3 original tracks by the greek electronic music producer, along with a very special reintrpretation by the american artist, also known as shawn o sullivan. aesthetics vary from slow and hypnotic rhythms to driving ebm riffs and harshly distorted percussions. morah approaches the sound of modal analysis while maintaining his distinct charachter as a producer, using here field recordings and processed vocals.

a man of many talents, jun has produced art under his illreme moniker, as member of hip hop trio, baleine 3000, and as cartoon illustrator (usca.) his forays into music have lead to work with revered global labels, think mister saturday night, black acre, mall grab’s steel city dance discs and more.
opener and lead track, body & soul is a raucous jam. killer, frenzied percussion, short riffs and vibrant erratic trumpets fuse industrial elements with far-flung balearia, teasing between warehouse rave and rainforest ravine.
second track ( ( (bye) ) ) is a hazy, hypnotic cut, body & soul’s wild elements rolling into a tug of war between arcadian bleeps and lawless euphoria.
dopey forests offers up a less frantic but still slamming dance floor ready slice of dreamlike vocals paired with driving percussion. a mesmerising, final jaunt to round out ‘the distorted haunted ballroom ep’ with an ethereal, spooky stomp.
