hey campers, we are back with some new goodies for you! this one is by the completely virginal duo death bulb, who have never released a single track before, which is quite ridiculous as they have been producing this stuff since 2012. this is simply some of the best industrial noise techno around! it starts out with the title track zement, a total dancefloor killer that still gives me goosebumps after hearing it about a million times. you will eat this up! second on the a side is breathe in, breed out, a hilariously rough beatdown with lots of heavy breathing involved - slays it every time! ultraviolence never felt so enjoyable! the b side starts out with a rare guest appearance of label daddy hanno hinkelbein who donated a remix of zement for you people who like straightforward techno. lots of heavy bass and a crunchy ravepad, driven by relentless percussion. the vinyl ends with the broken banger bettina’s betrayal - noise at it’s finest, somewhere between i-f’s “i do because i couldn’t care less...” and old afx.

pupil dilations - new ep by russian producer kausto (real name kuzma palkin) for roots united records. 5 tracks was produced in 2004 - 2007 in kausto’s hometown severodvinsk on a vintage pc using jeskola buzz tracker and old vst plugins. main source of inspiration - music of that time: baby ford, humanoid, 808 state’s newbuild, as well as analord series by afx.

suction records is excited to unleash the 3rd vinyl ep in our series of archival releases by a rx-101 aka dutch producer erik jong, who recorded hundreds of afx / rephlex-inspired tracks from 1997 to 1999, which remained unreleased until now. continuing with our roland sh-101 themed artwork, rx-101 s -ep3- pairs the 101 with it s acidic little brother, the infamous tb-303. there s been a lot of renewed interest and hype surrounding the revival of acid techno in recent years, but rx-101 s acid offerings are not the slow n slinky variety favoured by most of today s acid revivalists. instead, ep 3 contains 6 tracks of crunchy, blown out, high-octane rave acid. long-time afx/rephlex fans will recognize the sound immediately - the 6 tracks found on ep 3 are eerily reminiscent of those sought-after rephlex classics, the universal indicator series of 12inches - released anonymously by aphex twin and his kosmic kommando on rephlex from 1992-1995..

it is a cold dark winter – snow is lying everywhere. simon12345 and the lazer twins are heading up north into a little wooden house in the northern parts of denmark. they will live there for the next weeks and build up a temporary studio in this secluded cottage. simon has got a handful of sketches with him. musical states of mind and conceptual games he developed over the last years. basically the idea is to develop something truly unique and powerful – although none of them knows how that will sound exactly or what will happen in particular during this time. it is not even clear who plays which instrument, who will do what…nothing is set. the only thing clear is that they have things to say, things that have been burning in them for so long now. tell me. how can (mostly) instrumental music suggest a way of life? how can you criticize without pointing at something particular? how can music transport you into place of quietness and self reflection?

following releases on mathematics, boxfade and vuzkid, chris moss acid returns with an extraterrestrial four tracker on holland’s 030303. the a-side features bay of cadiz, an eleven minute cut built around an hypnotic bass line and a simple hitchcockian synth that would do well in a horror movie featuring zombies with smiley faces. on the flip, lynchette matravers is an energetic, crystal clear banger reminding of early 808 state. the big freeze sounds a lot warmer than the title suggests and should please anyone into afx’s later output. the rhythm, the fourth and last track on the ep, continues on that vibe with beautiful synth work. chris moss may look like a nutter, this sure is serious sonic pleasure

after inigos deeper & slower excursions on his 2 previous eps >the shard< & >the darkest valentine<, he now returns to his dirtier, more energetic tricks. as usual, i have been sitting on these tracks a while and both of them have been thoroughly road tested. >revenge< can rip up any dance floor peak time, while >scatter< explores idm territory, almost in afx fashion.

>rdjcs5<, a new 4-track 12-inch ep by solvent, is the result. this is suction022. each and every sound on this record came from rdj’s old cs5, painstakingly programmed and multi-tracked by solvent over the course of several months. the limited capabilities and sound palette of this humble little synth provided quite a challenge, but ultimately the results are not merely an exercise in technical synthnerdery, rdjcs5 speaks more of solvents musical kinship to thee analord. opening track >curtains< bears similarity to early rephlex signing bochum welt, while >radiator<, >mould<, and >tassels< each contain hallmarks of the classic afx sound. at the same time, each track also sounds distinctly and unmistakably solvent. the 12 inch vinyl edition is limited to 300 copies, in brown chipboard sleeve with sticker, and also contains an additional noise/drone piece at the end of side b. entitled >sandpaper<, this cut will be individually hand-etched by solvent, for a 1-of-a-kind cut/click/loop experience.

the d arcangelo brothers somehow forgot about the downtempo side of things for this ep on the warm and freaky 030303 imprint. unlike on their releases for rephlex we hear mid and highspeed chicago influenced stuff thats a big treat for fans of gescom, stinkworx and afx (some stuff brings back memories of his helston flora mix of baby fords normal). mind you, theres still a distinctive d arcangelo sound to all of this jackin. what are all those false and sleepy melodies for? to confuse us? what a mindfuck this psychedelic minialbum is!

limited clear vinyl! once again the dumbster returns with another belter, and what a rework to choose. the mighty afx classic from 1990. keeping to the original but updating it just enough for the floors for 2008!
