rush hour presents a new series of releases entitled >voyage direct<. tom trago, one of the most prominent producers on rush hour records, who has produced several releases for this label since 2006, curates this series. in 2009 he presented his first voyage direct output and in 2010 he started selecting tracks for >voyage direct<, which presents a collection of his favorite producers & tracks. the saga of >voyage direct< continues. the third release is a very classy one. house of jezebel aka legowelt takes us back to the warehouse days with his epic version of soul classic >love & happiness<. granted, this sample has been used a few times before, but this is simply one of the strongest versions ever to appear. comes as vocal and instrumental version

when we released aardvarcks nosestep as part of his well well well ep in the summer of 2007 it cause quite a stir in the then formative dubstep scene, almost anybody played that track. now we re-release it with a new version by cosmin trg, who transformed it into a strong acidic stepper, 2010 style. on the b-side we find an unreleased nubian mindz remix from aardvarcks spoken release from 2001. we didnt release it at the time, but with the whole new future house movement coming strong, the timing couldnt be more perfect

as we are preparing for tom tragos new album, which is due early 20100, we close off toms voyage direct release with the third and final remix ep. this time up and coming amsterdam local dj and beat maker fs green comes up with two remixes, giving both tracks an surprising, new feel. while the more downtempo vibe of his remix of voyage direct wouldnt have been out of place on a beat dimensions release, his remix of lost in the streets goes uptempo and has a cross over dance floor potential. banging! it comes as a limited edition, green vinyl edition.

a special reissue. this features four tracks from the relics album that was released in the early 90s. since then it has been out of print, bar some dodgy bootlegs. the four tracks reissued here were exclusive to the album release and this is the first time they are available on 12 inch. all four tracks are landmark techno pieces and considered to be among his best output. a special release deserves a special packaging. it comes in a matt varnish, die cut sleeve. this is a one time run of 1000 units. vinyl only.

on the back of shakes retrospective frictionalism 1994-2009 compilation, we have asked some producers from the new generation who were influenced by shakes music one way or another to remix his music. since shakes catalogue is such a diverse one, we looked different directions for remixers. the first 12 embodies the whole new beat scene (dubstep, future house, wonky, what do we call it these days). faltydl is on fire lately so we asked him to remix assimilated. the result is an up tempo stepper that both offers a look into the past as well as into the future. banging business. next up is space dimension controller. this uk young buck has been surprising many with his first few releases and remixes over the last year. he transforms the down tempo detroit state of mind into a mid tempo techno-soul affair that will have you grooving all the way through. second part will feature the new techno generation with mixes from mrsk and skudge

this is the fourth nebraska ep for rush hour. again, a strong 4 tracker. with nebraska summer lasts longer. with minor key memories he delivers four good spirited and uplifting house tracks. >this is the way< is an infectious, building disco groove which climaxes midway through. party time! the other three tracks are also fun loving, playful disco cut ups in true nebraska style that put a smile to any crowd. addictive stuff. nebrakas sound is something we cant get enough of!

the fifth release contains more rare tracks from the trax catalogue. the a-side features two mixes of the little known gwendolyn track, which originally came out on precision records (named after larry shermans pressing plant) in 1984. this early vocal (house) gem was produced by vince lawrence and jessie saunders. it comes in two versions. a more straight forward original and a more dubbed out version by farley jackmaster funk. a real treat. side b features another early 80s chicago track, again by vince lawrence and jessie saunders aka z-factor featuring screaming rachel. classic chicago house tracks

just when it was getting hard to bear anymore lo-fi, dub inspired techno records - along come producers like skudge and newcomer mrsk. both from sweden and now befriended. both turn saidgenre into kick ass, peak time productions that funk like crazy.black keith definitely has thatdrive and swing and groove we love so much. close to me is a little deeper and more classy (detroit), yet still grooves like a motherlicker.. a classic techno release!

this third release in the series mostly touches on the magic of jamie principle. however, this ep opens with a sublime deep vocal track originally released on trax sub-label saber in 1991 by ace & the sandman (who are also responsible for the virgo four tracks). featured here are some of jamie principles best tracks, produced by frankie knuckles. as with many trax releases, there are lots of unreleased , reel to reel only mixes around. we came across an unreleased version of >bad boy<. the quality is not at best, but we included it nevertheless. magic stuff!

**** repress **** late nineties saw three releases of boo williams on titonton duvante run residual records. from these three eps we pulled the four best tracks, which make up this >residual ep<. four times raw, deep, melancholic, late night grooves at which boo is a master. essential house music!

the second release of >vibes - new&rare music< brings rick wilhites long time friend and fellow 3chairs producer theo parrish to the table. theo gives us an adventurous ride like only theo can. starting out on a blues tip, this track morphs into a string laden jazz affair without missing a beat. epic stuff!
on the b-side its a one-way ride to chicago with ricardo miranda blasting on the car stereo. this relative newcomer, who has recorded for hour house is your rush and vega records, really outdoes himself on >urbanism<. as we cruise into town, heading straight to lakeshore drive, this track kicks off so soulful, yet so raw! it reminds us of the best days of prescription underground, on which this easily could have been released. addictive.
