for its ninth installment fasten musique welcomes mysterious french artist monsieur georget from ultrastretch, do easy records and the 2 remixes are served by 2 talented producers. one is the new york based phenomenon kamran sadeghi is known for his work with son of rose and with soundwalk collective and anther is italian artist third_child is a new project aimed to mix sounds micro-house and house music. all tracks are a representation of the artists personal take on finely crafted grooves and sound designed elements. vinyl only release

the next release to be available on 10inch vinyl in late january will be limited to 250 copies and features one track on each side, both of which take you back in time. the ingenious >strictly rhythm< by monsieur cedric fuses deep house with breakbeats and acid. steve frisco pays tribute to a well-known truly legendary new york house music label with the aptly titled utterly tantalizing >nu groove< which, to make it short, a is sheer deep house bliss.

*bapteme de l air* keeps the pressure up throughout as it steadily rolls out its sharpened kick and thick, propulsive snare before reaching its rattling, mechanical apogee. *ready pour le tour* unfurls behind off-kilter clicks, tightly swung hats and sax stabs while astute dynamics build a rich and cavernous atmosphere. the disco tinged *plein les mirettes* sets a rousing warm-up tone from the off with a dense kick and clap pinning down flecks of crowd chatter and shimmering metallic signals before dana ruhs spectral revision of ready pour le tour casts a murky glow over the original, blooming until its close with thickening strings and addictive knocks and claps.

monsieur cedric, head of serie limitee records, secretely released this very limited 7inch. 100 copies only, hand stamped and numbered, no digital and no repress. >tight< is a tribute to the paradise garage sound, while the b side contains an extended mix of the >bonus track 1<, an homage to the rave sound of the 90s, which first appeared on sl001.

a 4-track package traversing house and techno. first up jour de fete, a reference to the black and white 1940s french comedy – perhaps a clue to mr georget… one things for sure this is toe-tapping house. taking its time to perfectly build up the progression towards smooth outbursts of wailing sirens. 6eme etape is another fine example of get-up-and-dance house, theres plenty of driving drum kick and jazzy key chords, nicely pulled back and interrupted, to drop back in again with a renewed energy. poil de renard on the other hand immediately marks out its territory among the german minimal and micro house space. strong, syncopated beats laced with chopped up whispers and unknown reverberations, this is tough! the 103 mix softens up the edges, a subtle underlying synth providing the mellowness – essentially your morning-after dub version.

while the first part was all about house music in a more classical way, concrete resident sweely is showing another side of his skills in “les chroniques de monsieur montana part ii”, going in a more minimalistic and after-hour oriented vibe, but always with the funk, the sense of melody, and the deepness that made the succces of the previous release.

it s the fourth go round for monsieur blue, who steps back up to the plate with another three surefire jams from the slinkier side of the minimal house spectrum. -track 1- is an exquisite trip through blue-hued keys and shuffling drums, striking a fine balance between the lounge and the dancefloor. -track 2- takes a moodier approach, eking out mysterious chords and injecting a little juice into the low end to suit a more rugged situation, and then -track 3- jettisons the ballast and pings off into a dubbed out sphere of house music perfectly crafted for the times you want to get lost at sea.

concrete welcomes his lastest resident sweely, his ecceclistism pushed concrete music to split the tracks on two seperate sublabels : 3pm for the house cuts and 7am for the more minimalistic/electro tracks : the first part of “les chroniques de monsieur montana” is made of 3 house music bangers, produced by our resident some time ago. raw house vibe, obssessing vocal, “take me to my house” is a strong dancefloor hitter. while “house is home”, with is beautiful piano chords improvized by sweely himself, is an irresistible soulful but modern deep house track.

after the first two results, the third chapter of the saga guarantees the usual elegance rich in mystery. the deep sounds continue to blend into rhythmic micro-house for a release that will be danced and enjoyed aagain in the best clubs of globe.

julien sabre and konstress blind box label is branching out with a new sublabel entitled blind box basic, which seeks to explore a more minimalistic approach to the dance floor. in order to get things rolling, they re turning to chris carrier and his monsieur georget alias for three tracks of on-point, rolling house grooves. carrier s experience in handling heads down tracks is evident throughout, from the insistent surge of geogette to the hazy tones of balade sur le chemien de fer, while mais ou se cache donc le zebu heads straight to freaked out minimal territory.

the first record from the mysterious monsieur blue attracted plenty of favourable attention from the deep house and minimal fraternity when it dropped last year, and so the anonymous artist rolls around for a second bout with this sterling three-tracker. deep and dubby pads meet with rock-solid grooves on the a1, while the a2 track strips things back to an insistent rhythm, emphasising the space in the mix. the b-side track meanwhile channels a funky energy into the spaced out headspace monsieur blue inhabits, completing a strong trio of club-ready trippers for the dreamiest of dancefloors.

cougouyou ist ein plattenladen in perpignan, südfrankreich, sowie ein sublabel von staubgold. auf diesem veröffentlicht markus dettmer limitierte 7’’es mit regionalbezug. gewöhnlich kommen südfranzösische bzw. katalonische bands mit exklusiven neuen stücken zum zug. -lettre À monsieur le chef de gare de la tour de carol- macht davon eine doppelte ausnahme, denn weder stammt die 1939 geborene avantgarde-musikerin, autorin und schauspielerin brigitte fontaine aus der region, noch ist ihr musique-concrète-stück neu. es erschien bereits 1969 auf dem album -comme À la radio- und collagiert verfremdete tonfetzen des bahnhofsvorstehers von latour-de-carol, einem auf 1200 meter höhe gelegenen Örtchens in den pyrenäen. die single wird durch zwei tracks des in perpignan ansässigen minimalkomponisten monsieurdurand ergänzt. seine beiden stücke -un mauvais champignon- und -la nausée (extrait)- stehen ebenfalls der musique concrète nahe und basieren auf field recordings.

monsieur blue is already getting some keen internet heads casting their theories about the identity of this debutant producer, but while they fret over such issues the rest of us will be getting down to this impeccable selection of deep grooving wares. this is razor sharp club music surely crafted by someone with experience, as the muscular thrust of track 1 suggests. there s a rugged charm in amongst the minimal disposition of the beats, which stands in contrast with the aqueous delights of track 2 or the housey funk of track 3. it s high grade dance music for djs and party people, plain and simple.
