in greyscales continued focus on evolving and expanding the experience of the label, we have some exciting news to share with you. we are launching a new series on greyscale - the spectrum series! this premier outlet will be dedicated to the most special and colorful projects, stepping away from our usual black and white visuals. for the first project, we dug in the vaults and chose to put out a legendary lithuanian dub track - >kasdienybes sventykla< by grad_u & eazystyle mc. it was recorded back in 2009 which means we are celebrating its 15 year anniversary! back in 2011 we recorded an english version and released it as a double cd that came with a string of memorable remixes. now, and for the first time on vinyl and in the true roots of dub, released on a special 10 inch record. but thats not all! each new spectrum release will include a full cover print with specially created artwork.

damon wild and david sumner (aka functions) relationship dates back to 1991 at lord michaels future shock, limelight, new york city when damon was running experimental records via northcott productions. at the time, he first saw something in dave and added him to brand x, a record pool run by moneypenny. but their bond is based around a period 5 years later when dave had an apartment above rogue music at 251 west 30th street in midtown, manhattan. it was during this time damon developed him as a synewave artist and released his first ep as function in the fall of 1996 catalog number, sw-24. falling in and out of touch over the years, across continents, the two have somehow remained on the same cosmic path. so its not a coincidence that now damon has turned to dave to release his first album in 13 years, during the time he is reissuing that first synewave ep on recompiled i/ii & ii/ii (a-ton lp02/03). this is where those paths cross again 21 years later, this fall, dave will release cosmic path on infrastructure. the cosmic connection.

to infinity and beyond. ufo95, alias killian vaissade is a french artist and electronic music producer. in search of unknown sounds, ufo95 travels through different worlds and different eras. he finds his inspiration in the psychedelic rock from the 60s and 70s, and in the techno scene from the 90s or even the idm scene, such as aphex twin... he also draws from the jungle and experimental scenes to propel a hypnotic, alienating and decidedly unique sound. very early on, music was his calling. mainly because he lived with his family above his parents’s nightclub. killian learned to play several instruments, he will also tryout rock bands in high school. as he turned 18, he chose to move towards music through sound engineering. first contact: he was then abducted by electronic music and, selftaught, he launched other artistic projects. he started playing under other aliases, and first live performed with rgs collective. recently, he landed in the reunion island in order to set up a family start-up, which works to reclaim environmental waste. recently back in france, he confined himself out into the countryside during the spring of 2020 and fired up ufo95, an unidentified fabulous object of music. he also released his first lp >popularity is overrated< on mama told ya label, in a cosmic collaboration with anetha. ufo95 is a good guy. be like ufo95. explore. enjoy.the b-side starts with syndrome. its earth-shattering kick and hypnotic atmospheres drag the listening into a weird, occult journey. ideal for the late-night darkrooms, metaphorically and figuratively. takaaki itoh, the japanese techno sensation and founder of the acclaimed wols label, follows up with his own rendition of the track. the remix from this remarkable legend within the scene is both eerie and engaging from the get-go. its driven by a thumping kick, playful hi-hats, and modular bells – a combination that combines the whole release and makes it such an essential for djs who are daring enough to take their set toward unknown territory. the planet x label is the brainchild of the icelandic techno artist exos where the harder side of techno is explored.

the first release by the amsterdam based duo caim on their self-titled label. the duo’s distillation of the everyday voices captivated on this mindset focused four-track ep. each track stands as an analysis of the deep, groovy and detail driven biota. soothing atmospheres and pulsating synths offer us a first glimpse into caim’s state of mind.

después de la muerte (after the death in spanish) is an ep of four cuts of the barcelonian producer headbirds and the first release in vinyl of the ochomel label.

on the a side, the tracks have a dub scene with deep house influences of minimalist cut and sub basses at very low frequencies, with flashes of light in their arrangements.

on the b side, the first track is a flow of increasing energy, a melodic passage with a cosmic air and a deep bass drum. the second cut is a beautiful piece of art, a story of 5 minutes of deep melancholic sensation with an intense riff, a techno flavor of the 90s.

almost otherworldly in its vastness and serene beauty, many musicians have drawn from the well of inspiration that is arizona’s sonoran desert, but few are quite as accomplished or prolific as steve roach. an ambient pathfinder and electronic innovator, his back catalogue as vast as those breathtaking vistas – sonic renderings of arid landscapes littered with saguaro cacti are found in good company alongside didgeridoo-focused experiments and ethereal drifts that navigate the event horizon, between the brilliance of space and a black abyss.
