dj support from rich medina, kev beadle, dj cash money, eavesdrop radio and kcrw. fatnice is multi talented to say the least. the avant garde mc, producer, singer, and writer grew up listening to tons of records and tapes from his aunts collections which were comprised primarily of soul and funk gems. a prolific house head, fatnice became entrenched in the boombap sounds of hiphop via the roar of melle melle rhyming the message in 1982. an avid writer of poetry fatnice found it addicting being able to combine rhymes with beats to create music.

for real avid fans of the cluster/eno axis, this is going to be an essential purchase! - after the release of the second longplayer -deluxe- in august 1975 harmonia went back to touring the rest of the year until roedelius, moebius and rother ended their collaboration in summer 1976. all three members started solo projects, but rejoined as harmonia in september 1976 for a short time when brian eno visited them in forst, germany for eleven days, living and recording with harmonia, before eno went on to work with david bowie. the material from -tracks and traces- is from this eleven days, and was not released until 1997 because the tapes were long considered lost - rykodisc and sony s s3 label did release nine tracks on cd only. here s the expanded re-issue for grönland records from 2009 with an excluisve new artwork for the first time on 2lp-vinyl-set!

the third release on null+void recordings comes from manchester based artist dead sound. who on his this is human ep has fully expressed his expert knack for laying down engrossing tracks on a solid bed of grooves. on this is human he works between slinky electro and quirky techno in a tough edged four track ep
null+void recordings label head kirsti has been a fan of dead sound since his first release in 2010 - no faith - on net label acroplane and following him avidely since. for anyone unfamiliar with the dead sound he’s historically found his releases land on perc trax and rebekah’s decoy two of the uk’s most uncompromising techno artists labels respectively.

2 track ep produced by benales. follow up of elements ep released back in 2016 raw, straight techno tools inspired by the likes of robert hood, jeff mills, surgeon. bio: born in normandy (france), and now based in paris, benales has been honing his craft since the end of the 90s. an avid record collector and enthusiast of techno and house - his dj sets and tracks combine the raw, dark and deep elements of these musical forms with a firm nod in the direction of detroit. he already played at concrete, la machine du moulin rouge, rex club, batofar, 101.

1970’s experimental & electronic music recorded in soviet russia by yuri morozov. banned by the kgb for its esoteric content and references to forbidden spiritual texts, yuri recorded over 46 albums between the 1970s until his death in 2006. only available on cassettes passed around in secret within the russian music underground until now.

with -nekromant- the labelheads avidus are back on empore music, to present their darker side. the original consists of powerful arpeggiators rolling on a triplet-beat with a trancy vibe. the remix from jens-uwe beyer, formerly known as popnoname and as the curator of the label magazine, delivers a dreamy remix from the original with nice organic percussive elements. berlin based sebastian voigt, who has been making waves with his release on outcast oddity, completes the remixes with a straightened interpretation of the original back to a 4 to the floor beat, even adding even more drive and power if compared to the original. the ep comes full circle with a beatless -synthapella- from the original.

elocution, the third figure ep from portuguese producer lewis fautzi, again displays a high defree of versatility but still comes cleary cut for the club. employing a rich yet spacious sound design, fautzi creates cinematic scapes that are at once both brimming with the hums of colossal interstellar machinery yet at the same time leave enough room for a range of carefully sculpted elements to do their work. whether it be the twisted acid arpeggio on opener shizophrenia, the imposing drones underscoring the mighty mirror or the propulsive percussion of centerpiece 37b. testament to fautzis talent of engaging arrangement, never do the tracks here feel hurried nor do they become stagnant - but rather given just the right time to ripe into their full captivating potential. no matter if one is to approach this records as already an avid lover of lewis fautzis work or comes to it simply looking for fresh takes on the classic formula, this enthralling ep certainly will satisfy everyones needs.

die a-seite -annapurna-, titel-track der ep, ist das perfekte werkzeug, um zur peaktime den club in einen rave zu verwandeln. kick, ein durchdringender arpeggio, pads und ein paar effekte - wieder einmal ein beweis, dass manchmal weniger mehr ist. mit der b-seite -semikolon- zeigt sich jeremy liar von einer deeperen seite. verträumte pads, begleitet von getunten 808 cowbells und unterstützt von einer gewaltigen bassline, entsteht der vibe den man bereits von seinem remix für christoph vogel kennt. semikolon ist als gegenstück zur a-seite eine deepere produktion, die besondere momente auf open airs als auch im club garantiert. abgerundet wird die ep mit remixes von avidus, die gemeinsam mit christoph vogel eine deepere version der a-seite liefern, sowie von zk bucket, dem gründer und betreiber von zaun recordings, der aus semikolon einen echten floorkiller macht.

mit der veröffentlichung der 12 inch * accolade* ist der startschuss für ein neues label gefallen. empore music ist in kiel beheimatet und hat sich die produktion amtlicher house- und techno-produktionen auf die fahnen geschrieben. sehr begrüßenswert, von guter tanzmusik kann die welt nie genug bekommen! wie es gemacht wird, demonstriert uns gleich einmal avidus mit einem variantenreichen 3-tracker. hinter avidus verbergen sich fritz wagner und marc wolf. sie verbindet neben einer langjährigen freundschaft auch eine tiefe leidenschaft für elektronische tanzmusik und vinyl. was lag also näher, form und inhalt miteinander zu kombinieren und parallel zur band gleich die veröffentlichungsplattform empore music ins leben zu rufen? gesagt, getan. und so verdanken wir den beiden zum neuen vinyl auch gleich ein neues label.

the a-side of avida002 was created by the romanian producer mihai popoviciu. with his reformulation of *whispering* he succeeds in forging a keen and dynamic tech-house remix, not lacking of deepness, under the temperament of sonorous drumrolls. he artfully bridges past the original mix and hones an overall dancefloor-tailored release, which must not pass by house-lovers.

after his groundbreaking european-wide hit remix of asaf avidans >reckoning song / one day< the berlin dj & producer wankelmut releases his debut single on get physical music / poesie musik. with the great australian singer emma louise by his side, he presents > my head is a jungle<. wankelmut takes his >one day< sound to another level and delivers a powerful 124 bpm tech house groover with nice added guitar and vocal elements that make this an easy recogniseable >must have< tune for 2013

march sees the formidable hypercolour deliver its most surprising output yet, an ep from none other than groove armada. tom findlay and andy cato need little introduction as groove armada. chart smashes, huge live tours and being part of the worldwide electronic music history aside, the duo have never lost touch with their acid house roots and have continued to be devoted to record buying, djing and the much maligned promo trawl. tom and andy have been avid followers of the label it seemed, since its inception. it was through label head jamie, meeting the guys back in 2010 at space in ibiza, and then continued communication via hypercolour promos, that led to an out-of-the-blue email requesting an informal hook up in east london and, within just a few days, a release was scheduled. that release is the >no knock ep<, four tracks that range from 808 fuelled old school cuts to low slung, moog-bassd electronic funk. each sound is lovingly crafted but there is an analog rawness throughout and every track has the sort of tweaked, off-kilter and occasionally awkward vibe that hypercolour do so well. it just takes a bit of imagination to guess what a ga release on hypercolour should sound but failing that, just check the release out as it wont disappoint.

aux-rec is back for its fourth project, following the >baker man< edit by soul clap (so good it became an official remix on laid backs label), first class remixes by franco cinelli and the >caught up< bootleg by le loup & funkalicious james aka childhood 87. we are feverish to bring you today two new bomb bootlegs by argentine top producers leonel castillo and lexdinamo. those in the know have been familiar with these names for over ten years now and know how rare their productions are. as a matter of fact, this is probably the first time you will be able to get your hands on such bootleg productions from these two cats. leonel castillos signature shuffly blend is unmistakably recognizable on this a-side, on which he pays his tribute to one of the most emotional soul masterpieces by the dells, the 74 released >i wish it was me you loved<, bringing it into full dancefloor effect. lexdinamo does what noone did before, jumbling even further one of bobby mcferrins most genius vocal medleys, >drive<. avid bootleg followers may have previously heard this version, but we just cant get enough of it! coming up! more works by aux-rec regulars franco cinelli, leonel castillo and soul clap! stay booted!
