label owner kastil comes up with the fourth 12” in the stale series. after imaginative releases by irazu, deapmash together with a string of underground cassette releases it’s finally time for the man in charge to step back up with a very versatile and well balanced outing called “the sadistic abbess”.

after a wait of 15 years and numerous 12es, e s, random compilation tracks and remixes rude 66 has finally finished a full length album and dare we say it s his most cohesive work to date? sadistic tendencies begins where 2005 s three faces of fear ep ended, with 18 tracks that slide like snails on the edge of straight razors, exploring the dark side of the human condition. thematically connected, deep, dark and mind bendingly analogue, sadistic tendencies is both tense and full of release, sometimes brooding and encroaching at other times exploding into throbbing synth laden dance floor bombs. superlatives aside, sadistic tendencies works exceptionally well as an album and is one of those rare 70 minute journey s that can be enjoyed from beginning to end – like a good horror movie that scares the hell out of you, but keeps drawing you in.

having worked together as -thrinax- in the past, prague s duo exhausted modern & aliver collected their solo material for endless illusion s second white label series. their complimentary sonic languages speak in slow, percussive rhythms, sadistic, industrial sounds, and uptight bass lines transmitted through a chain of pedal effects. the track -project germs - cuatone- is another one of aliver s collaborations.

the acutely talented russian returns - leading a new generation of ultra-gifted producers, black barrel presents the “labyrinth ep” on our main label in april. from the opener “seeing explosives” with gusto, the classic tech funk inspirations are clear to see and black barrel guides complex arrangements with addictive grooves. bringing a refreshing, energized vibe to intricate, technical production, black barrel intensifies his portfolio on the “labyrinth ep”, with sadistic delivery and playful charm.

nice price deal !!! manchester s techno alchemist and master of the roland tr-808, the enigmatic mr.raw, debuting mancdetroit 12” on win or loose records straight outta toronto ca! long term nightclub shaman on the northwest of england circuit, raw served time in rotterdam s early 90s gabba circles before returning back to manchester to twist brain s n bodies with his wild blend of freestyle techno. raw s witnessed trends in production go from hardware to soft and back again but he s never strayed from a solid rack mount set up based solely around the tr-808. with a few added choice fx processors raw s style is loose n live and captures a pure spirit rarely exercised by today s pacified youth. -perseus dance- sounds like the kind of shit the great ron hardy would jam on, with two copies, for hours. inflicting a sherm-stick flavored mind-blast to the floor that may have indeed caused the good man to blush, we find percolating 808 percussion woven together with a mystic, fizzing lead line and twangy analogue artifacts. darkside acid dragged wailing and whining from rusholmes drains. flip and we have -hard on-: a twisted x-rated porno horror jam. raw s rapid-fire double-speed drum loops firing away while a plethora of abhorrent vox and coital sounds converge onto the track. a total wrecking ball of filth and hellish distortion which just smolders away in the basement of some sadistic nightclub like a rotten but highly intoxicating fungus ready to switch on any passing freaks.

the hype is certainly to be believed for this amazing lp. the lineup is stunning. deathmachine, the speed freak, drokz, tripped, mystification, al twisted & sadistic, tones, and many more besides all contribute amazing tracks to this 3x12 inch lp. limited to only 250 copies this is one that will be highly sought after in the future.
