to commemorate the x anniversary of the festival electrónica en abril (http://festivalelectronicaenabril.tumblr.com ) born in 2003 at la casa encendida, madrid, we have invited some of the artists that left their personal and sound mark in our event, right now the oldest music festival in madrid. all of them have contributed with exclusive tracks to this double lp that does not pretend to become a scanner of todays electronic music scene, but just an insight to the quality and diversity of our festival.

>the musical styles on moon harbour inhouse vol. 4< range from the deep house of luna city express and ekkohaus to the reduced groovy tech house á la tini & marc antona, andy catana and boris werner and the floor fillers by reboot and dan drastic. in this sense the selection of tracks mirrors the current breadth of styles represented by the label in its 12th year. since the third inhouse compilation, a lot has happened at moon harbour. in addition to the releases of the albums hello from planet earth by luna city express (2009) and paradigm shift by martinez (2010), the tenth anniversary of the label was celebrated with gusto in 2010 complete with the compilation and club tour, ten years of moon harbour. the year 2010 also marked the birth of the monthly moon harbour radio show. luna city express and dan drastic have been taking turns producing this show, which has already had more than 25 editions.

in his biography, arjuna schiks is described as a producer with an ability to bring the human out of the machine, unleashing our emotions. after listening to doha , we were affected in the same way. simply put, his music makes us feel good. melodic accents and danceable rhythms blend in purposeful unison, and it is with the doha ep that arjuna will join wir. he has appeared on gem records, manual music, traum, and trapez, with original eps, and has recently graced a number of labels with remixes, leaving his signature on each ep. his production output is impressive, and like most greats, his sound continues to grow and develop with each studio session. arjuna resides in amsterdam, where he has developed a distinct and solid sound, and a loyal fan base. he performs live close to every weekend all over holland. we invited arjuna to come and perform as the special guest at our treibstoff 14.5 year anniversary party for his first ever performance on german soil. his set was received with smiling faces and hands in the air, coming from the brimming dance floor of colognes gewölbe, a warm welcome to say the least. we had the pleasure of spending some time together after the event, and his character is just like his music. he is a cheerful and passionate person with a bright sense of humor and we are elated to welcome him to wir. keep your ears open, for there is more to come..

strut records, in association with fania, are proud to announce the 40th anniversary edition of the landmark feature film that captured new yorks legendary early 70s latin music scene at its zenith,our latin thing (nuestra cosa).filmed around a live all-star concert by the fania all-stars at one of promoter ralph mercados fantastically popular thursday night jams at the cheetah, the film transports the viewer right back to a heady night on august 26, 1971. at the time, there had been little documentation of the burgeoning salsa scene in new york, despite its massive popularity. video was still crude and film was expensive to shoot. however, fania founder jerry masucci had a vision of taking new york latin music from the barrio to the world, and put the money up to make the movie.

puresque is paul brtschitsch and mocca—paul whose discography stretches back to the mid-90s and is widely regarded for his sensitive sound arrangements both on record and live, and mocca—real name michael kunz- who has been simmering his sonic pallet on the berlin circuit over the last few years. they met over a mutual love of vinyl and entered the studio together with the desire to create something raw, as removed as possible from the synthetic feel of purely digital production.
