after the release of their playful debut album ÒworldstyleÓ the budapest duo are now returning with their 2nd album ÒbrotherhoodÓ and this time their message is more serious. the music if often summons blues elements but also influenced by dub, funk and a little hip-hop while the lyrics are mainly about the social and personal problems of our time interpreted by talented guest vocalists from all over the world.

originally released in 1996, this live album features 14 classics including after midnight, cocaine and old man. all tracks were recorded across several different shows : carnegie hall (new york, 1996), the philharmonic (munich, 1994), flynn theater (burlington, 1993), the great american music hall (san francisco, 1994), the hammersmith apollo (london, 1994), the sommerville theater (sommerville, 1993) and park west (chicago, 1990).

180g vinyl! the summer of 2008, the echo inspectors are touring germany. one of their stops lands them in koln, after getting their fix of record shopping at kompakt they would meet up at a local bar with pawas who just remixed their latest record. joining the guys for a mid afternoon beer would be local producer and friend of pawas, adam kroll. fast forward to 2020 and adam would reappear on the radar as adam k.roll with a fresh new dub sound, completely different to the minimal techno records of the mid 2000s. this fresh take on dub would capture the interest of the echo inspectors. many dms later would lead to adam producing five fresh tunes for primary colours. trying to describe adams music is not easy. adam seamlessly blends the sounds of dub techno, ambience, electronica, jamaican dub and an infusion of summer island sounds. primary colours has the honour of re-releasing one of their favourite adam k.roll tunes, into the ocean, initially released digitally on adams on bandcamp page, into the ocean has been reborn on wax. we loved it so much that we got the echo inspectors to remix it into a formidable dub techno groover. kick back, sip on a fine whiskey, light a little number and immerse your aural senses to the sounds of the final call.

repress - j dilla is widely regarded as one of the greatest hip-hop producers of all time, having supplied timeless soundbeds for the likes of a tribe called quest, slum village, the pharcyde, busta rhymes, common, de la soul, the roots, d’angelo, erykah babu, madlib, and many more. in 2005, rumors began circulating about an album called “jay love japan”, a j dilla solo project inspired by one of jay dee’s favorite locations to visit on tour. after dilla’s untimely death in early 2006, the album became a lost classic shrouded in mystery, with only unofficial bootlegs and promo versions available. an official cd version was eventually released in 2008, but quickly went out of print. now, the album is finally receiving the official release it always deserved. j dilla’s mother ma dukes and her label vintage vibez music group are proud to present official vinyl and cd versions of “jay love japan”. with six soulful dilla instrumentals and vocal appearances from blu, miguel, j*davey, ta’raach, exile, baatin, and more, this 11-track collection is a perfect snapshot of late-period j dilla brilliance.
