mindtrip presents mt13, which sees another young argentinan talent - farceb - making his mindtrip debut. farceb is a producer whos been pricking ears over the last couple of years with strong releases on labels such as arts, orioni and circular limited. he now joins pfirters imprint with his superb signals from space ep. exoplanet war sets things in motion and is a stylish, entrancing tune, which, if it wasnt for its intrinsic energy and power - would border on the somniferous. next up is signals from space, a tough, brutal and percussive workout, punctuated by dark, organic synth stabs. this track builds and rolls along in a way dancefloors will love. unknown shadow is a powerful, stripped down merciless lump of peak-time techno which cleverly blends atmosphere and hard hitting percussion. the final track - the superb hyperion, is a 6 minute, deadly exercise in pushing intensity and tension to (and sometimes beyond) commonsensical limits. this is mindtrip music!

after a series of prized splits and collaborations, m_rec ltd s own max_m returns with dissertation , his latest fully-fleshed solo effort. the kidnapper bell was his last ep for m_rec ltd. the avid vinyl lover and collector has since put his -maximalist- values to work sharing wax with the likes of fabrizio lapiana of attic music, as well as with newcomers wrong assessment. not one to rush things, dissertation then comes at a peak time for max_m and m_rec ltd, representing the culmination of a ceaseless dedication to the type of stolid, hypnotic brand of techno intrinsic to both chief and label.

after an astounding year for apollonia storming all corners of the earth, the three welcomed further success with a momentous fiesta at bpm to commence 2014. working the label in tandem, the list of pioneers featured thus far – point g, callisto and kerri chandler – is mighty impressive. jovonn is a name that sits naturally alongside them, the difference being that the forthcoming ep on apollonia is not a repress but juicy new productions. a highly respected international dj and producer hailing from brooklyn, jovonn made his mark within the underground house scene with classics such as >i cant make up my mind<, >garage shelter<, and the standout collaboration with dj deep >back in the dark<. an intrinsic inspiration to the apollonia trio, a personal relationship first formed at wmc miami last year. enjoying a production comeback following music on dogmatik and la vie en rose in 2013, talk of working with apollonia has fruitfully resulted in - the ep - . proving he can still produce a house bomb with ease, trippin is a jovonn future classic dripping in sexy hushed vocals, with a dub alternative that sticks to the tracks fundamentals. the march journeys forward into the deepness of dreamy synths, while the contagious beats lure you into a swinging metronome effect. in the words of jovonn, >its spiritual<.catch jovonn playing alongside apollonia at treehouse on 24th march, as part of this years wmc miami festivities

yore returns after with the first appearance on the label by the edinburgh-based outfit 2deepsoul, which counts brad peterson and rai scott as its members. the two bring a wealth of experience to the project: petersons been djing since the early 90s and since 1997 has appeared on labels such as macintosh music, moods and grooves, and his own innershift imprint.

brilliant psychemagik disco edits

one is formerly the front man of a notorious glaswegian punk band, the other a meticulously precise studio guru with creative flair way beyond the majority. as solo artists they are a formidable force, as a collective they are quite simply one of the most exciting new acts in the uk right now. refusing to rush, they spend countless hours trying ideas, searching for samples, tuning percussion and tweaking sounds. for every mia dora track that sees the light of day, there are 100 that dont. this isnt throwaway club music for the internet generation, it is soulful, thoughtful and emotive music by two producers fuelled by an intrinsic need to give life to the sounds in their heads.

hardly a rookie these days – perhaps more of an intrinsic part of the great british renaissance and current techno climate, tom dicicco brings his new label run out run to the table with a superb 1st release. treading a more layered path than on his previous outings, tom shows his teeth here with brilliantly creeping, menacing riffs at the fore while retaining the house and dub sensibilities in the rhythm section that have already gained him much support – certainly something for everybody here on this worryingly confident own label debut!

sheffield based john shima joins the diametric. family. after a series of digital releases in the last years it is a tremendous pleasure to release the very first vinyl 12 inch of john on diametric. his music could be easily described as the logical progression of the legacy of famous uk acts such as b12, stasis or nuron, but that would be only half the story really. john mixes very emotional and deep techno with intrinsic and delicate rhythmic structures, in parts even harsh sounding bitcrushed percussions, and idm influences together to his very own special blend. now we can already hear the stupid comments from the haters saying that his music doesnt sound new and like the next big hype but the simple answer is: even if so, who gives a f#ck? it is great electronic music and diametric. certainly hopes you enjoy this record and are blown away like us.300 handnumbered limited vinyl copies only. no digital distribution.
