with soul, his first solo ep, alles andrs appears in a new, but not altogether unfamiliar light. the bavarian based producer sounds like an analog pop shepherd with clean fingernails, providing the needed feed for djs. here on his debut you will find three mind-blowing vocal house club bangers with over-modulated frequencies for the nightly sweat outbreak. this music is the easily-understood sonic language of alles andrs. he gives us space and depth, and the music is positioned somewhere within a sonic cosmos.

twenty-eight homespun stunners from the alamo city s scrappiest souleros. the royal jesters were the kings of san antonio s cross-cultural teen scene in the 1960s, soundtracking lovelorn slow dances with their heart-sick harmonies. for the first time, english oldies gathers the best early doo-wop, r&b, and blazing latin rock and soul from these tex-mex masterminds - a simmering melting pot of diverse regional flavors, best served hot.

on the first side side we got the title track kings & queens, featuring carlo and the unique voice of the singer / songwriter gjaezon. trippy chords combined with whirling hi-hats give that track a special melancholic, dark and warm feeling. perel transformed the second track speakerbox straight into a club banger - jacking grooves and cut up vocals by gjae, thats how we like it. and now sit back and relax while ranko serves you his cocktail of slow-motion funk and dubby grooves in his clarapark remix. on the flip side oliver gehrmann starts with his version of speakerbox: a floating and melodic sunrise hymn, including such a rolling bassline that your feet will do all the work for you. odysea take you back to the golden age of house music, therefor the boys created a soulful remix with majestic strings that give you nothing but goose bumps.

norwegian duo trulz & robin throw down the gauntlet with the third vinyl-only statement from the cymawax label, delivering an acidic take on their patented ‘hot and crunchy techno with soul.’ the prolific pair from oslo have been a force in their country’s electronic music scene for over two decades, with massive singles for full pupp, eskimo recordings, and the cymasonic and cymawax labels to show for it. now, the agent acid ep finds trulz & robin infiltrating the secret lair of a 303 conspiracy and decoding a quartet of sonic documents full of heavy synthesized funk. the ep’s title track is a slinky introduction, featuring battling analog squelches and drum machine patterns while a disembodied vocal plays on top. “i disappear”, adding collaborator brokkoli on the voice, is a more in-your-face effort as its pulsating sequences give way to floor-thrilling breakdowns. the low end might of “magnetisk smultring” showcases trulz & robin’s experimental side, complete with a disconcerting middle passage that soon reveals gentle synth melodies over a hypnotic rhythm section. then “my body”, the release’s closing track, introduces mysterious feelings … percussive clicks and tones build steadily as dub effects, sharp washes, and ominous whispers take hold. the agent acid ep is another triumph for trulz & robin … a masterclass of covert nightclub maneuvers.

2015 repress - from the first glimpses of henry laufers work as shlohmo, it was clear that the la native and visual artist turned self-taught musician was onto something. with an effortless grasp on sound design, laufer combines deceptively simple and emotive melodies, subtle bass drops and swinging slow motion drums. his early work has placed him at the forefront of a new wave of rising talent amongst west coast producers… inspired by the desire to write songs and create a release of full-range instrumentation and vocals all his own, laufer promptly began home-recording >bad vibes<, his proper full-length debut album for the friends of friends label. some might say the songs on >bad vibes< represent the spawn of a new rhythm and blues - one that swings and sways under the backbone of henrys own take on modern electronic music. augmented with delicate slide guitar playing, homemade synth sounds and lilting, tuneful melodies, shlohmos latest output is one that will take you places - specifically the un-paralleled vibes swirling through this young mans head.

ive been over and over track running orders, while taking into account the limitations of vinyl. it needs to be a loud cut as anything increasing the chances of this music being played in clubs is a priority. the major development is, i d really like the a side at 45rpm, as before. as well as the extra volume, granular psychosis is an exciting prospect to be able to play at both speeds as its so fast. with this track list below, we re exceeding the time slightly for what i ve been advised is the best 45rpm quality. however, as zattrday has such a limited frequency range, that can be cut to take a very small part of the vinyl. i will talk to, about all this, and ultimately go with his advice of the best way to do this on the day. but i can say it will almost definitely happen like one of the two options below

oid is the solo project of russian producer andrei antonets who is set to release his latest track bright side of life on pnn records 13/07/2015 born in riga and having lived in berlin, oid is now based in moscow, where he is inspired by the citys rapidly changing scene. bright side of life translates a sense of potential, it is upbeat without being commercial. the tracks singular sound has prompted the field, popnoname & j.p janzen (von spar) and mujuice all to produce remixes which will appear on the ep alongside the original. each of these deliver a unique take on this uncommon yet catchy tune.

archie hamilton unleashes the works on sunday ep on fuse london, kicking off with mind blank - a kinetic slice of pure peak time goodness, the track kicks into a high gear right from the start with rolling percussion leading to the bass line which serves as the grooves motif. the eps vinyl only track works on sunday switches gear, delving into deeper, headier territory with a more melodic leaning, an ethereal vocal snippet imbuing proceedings with a blissful feel whilst label staples enzo siragusa and seb zito take works on sunday into a techier direction, toughening up the drums and roughing up the percussion on their remix...

with four original tracks from chris carrier, this new ep is based around the original detroit vibe, with a hint of acid. the tracks all take their titles from famous nuclear devices, giving the music a foreboding overtone. rds-1 was the first weapon developed by the russians during the arms race of the early 20th century. the track is deep, driving and morose yet full of life. trinity was the codename of the very first nuclear test in 1945, this track is a shivering acid beast, minimal and absorbing. bwr 3 takes its name from one of the reactors at the doomed fukushima plant, subtle elements of funk flow through this restrained number. lastly comes chicago pile 1, the worlds first ever nuclear reactor, and a track that embodies the ominous possibilities of such an invention.

the second release from the hlanganani label lives up to its mo to provide a platform for talented producers from south africa to shine, focusing here on deep sixty, aka young and fast-rising producer johannesburg producer thabiso mamogwa. back in 2010, the producer made it to london to take part in the red bull music academy, which is when the hlang team first heard the tracks that make up the mme hayo ep whilst some studio time on the same trip with todd soundmurderer osborn resulted in the thursday nights track which mamogwa previously self-released. in addition to deep sixty s own deep terror mix of mme hayo, the label have coaxed some fine remixes out of esa and william kouam djoko.
