this is the second album by sven schienhammer aka quantec on echocord. after releasing several 12 inch on labels like styrax leaves, meanwhile, snapshot and echocord sven is back with another fulllenght album. this album contains older tracks from the year 2001 and some of his newer works from 2009. on this album you will hear many of svens personal favourite tracks and echocord are really proud to release it. its not really the typical quantec sound, its absolutely different to his last album on echocord, some of the tracks with vocals, but you can still hear the quality quantec sound.

after his outstanding album debut christian naujoks is back withthe first of a 12 inch trilogy to be released on dial records. adoring the sound of pitched down pre-recorded strings dressed in deep, dub-styled echoes, east end boys is a song dedicated to to the raw and powerful sublimity of physical sounds. the song was created while naujoks was working on a live set for the akustic saloon at legendary berlin based berghain club in april 2009. overwhelmed by his flatmates live performance, lawrence decided to produce a remix of his favorite christian naujoks tune >bloom<, which appears on the flipside.

heavyweight vinyl. in this light and on this evening, the new album from editors, represents a significant step forward for the band following the huge successes of debut album the back room and the number 1 follow up an end has a start. there have been many changes to life in editors since an end has a start broke the band worldwide and established the then birmingham based four piece as one of the uks most prominent bands of recent times. bassist russell leech and guitarist chris urbanowicz are now resident in new york while singer tom smith has become a father. these changes added to the sense that in this light and on this evening is the start of a new chapter for editors and the band came together in london for the recording sessions with producer flood at the start of 2009 with a determination to push their sound into wholly new territory.

nils ohrmann moved to berlin in the middle of the 90s, where he knew the rave culture was in full bloom- from e-werk to ostgut. he himself was a dj at the infamous schnabelbar in kreuzberg for eight years. since 2004 he has been a resident at rosis in friedrichshain. in may 2009 he made his first ep for hula hoop recordings (a sub-label of rompecabeza), which was a hit in the berlin clubs. coming up next is catalog number 2: >green sleeves<.
