vinyl only! second round in the little hill, for this ride, rave in the hill ep, we have more techno raw material, another two original tracks from label head lorentz, with techno-stomped works. here little hill team-up roberto bosco (wave music) wich propose a remix full of atmposphere and again owl(bpmfamily) strike us with his strong interpretation!
following their acclaimed debut album, migration, on prins thomas internasjonal label in 2012, jamie paton and nigel hoyle (aka nigel of bermondsey) have seemed relatively quiet save for the odd remix here and there. tucked away deep in their south east london base though, a series of remixes and solo projects have been steadily forming. with new c&a material planned for 2014, plus more to come from jamies new solo efforts, as well as nigel making a long overdue reappearance in maurice & charles, now seems the right time to draw a line under their collective work to date. here then are a collection of unreleased interpretatons, including the sought after vocal remix of psychedlic darlings, in goats anthemic run to your mama. this is followed by a late night dub of 80s pop duo blancmange that mixes strings, guitar and some dub bass with a dose of space echo before bringing neil arthur s classicly recognisable refrain shining through. to finish is a remix of goats label mates teeth of the sea. fx-soundtrack vocal, bubbling 303 and 808 combine on a proper 3am dub that builds beyond some mere drug-chug.
another two-track mysterium by a well known hip producer. strike up your dancefloor and spread happiness all over with these early house cutz made for screamy girls, fancy boys and everything in between. b-b-b-bass! h-h-h-hands-up! already heavy plays by dj dis-cocks as they say. vinyl only it is.

what a combination!pachanga boys rebolledo and gomma boss munk doing a single together! and when two freaks like them meet for music ñ the result has to be a masterpiece of craziness! surf smurf is a dirty 60ies surf rock song gone electronic. sounds like a david lynch soundtrack for a movie he does in 2030.
uner is proud to announce the arrival of his latest album, tune432. it comes on the diynamic label that he has been an important part of in the last four years and proves him to be one of the days finest house producers.
phil weeks and robsoul recordings kick off their 15th year in house music with a new three track ep from the main man himself. live at palladium has been the standout track of phils sets over the last few months, always generating a queue of people asking what it is. you may just recognize the marvin gaye sample, which was also previously borrowed by moodymann. it comes backed with the funk-infused *you want my love* and the soaring, chugging groove of *demain a jamais*, and looks set to get another year off to a flying start for one of the finest labels in underground house music.
its been a year since ashley beedle brought you the critically and commercially acclaimed yardism ep on raf (2 bears) and toddla ts girls music imprint and now its time for round two.

jeremy glenn continues on his quest to go deeper in this 4 track ep for quintessentials. the title track, wait for the night is anchored by a pulsing organ bass line, complimented by dark, pitched down vocals, simple lead lines and the occasional falsetto from glenn.
tom simmert und philipp triebel, two young guns from offenbach and berlin, share contributions to their first ep: deep, melodic, always powerful and with slight hints of melancholy, this record has its own distinctive note. admire those piano-hooks in ergo (a), a fantastically placed break in foolproof (b1) and the dreamy synthies in told you so (b2). comes as red vinyl, weighing 180 grams!
what might happen if one would tuck the moulin rouge in a london warehouse, banned the glitter, burned down the tinsel and raised the volume the debut album of hamburg based clark davis is exactly showing that, seducing by every trick in the book with irresistible, easy going grooves and nasty beats
welcoming warrior one to losing suki, the man like carl faure has been knocking out some killers for labels like black butter, catskills and king pigeon over the last few years, and for suki he shines a light upon the garage house hybrid sounds…. title track 5ths kicks things off with the kind of punchy garage house swing that never fails to move you, airhorns and synth sweeps pepper the cut whilst a thundering double 99-esque bassline throbs hard and heavy. flipside, the reverberating keys and mc licks of nyc continue warrior ones indulgence of the classic us house sounds but with a slick production for the modern dancefloor. closing track only you presents orgasmic pads and tough garage beats, its meaty bass touching the spot, a sweet slice of when rave met garage (somewhere in a field off the m25, most probably).
salespack from the italian frequenza records feat. great tracks from: matteo scaioli & morecare and remixes by andreas henneberg / nihil young / alex delia / john lagora / gary caos & bonora / jellyboyz
alans new single on drumcode demonstrates exactly why alan fitzpatrick is a powerhouse within the techno scene. the tetra will enrapture the dance floor from the off with its brooding nature and syncopated claps. it pushes forwards with glistening highs before more melodic stabs join the equation and slowly the beautiful melodic phrase partakes in this outstanding piece of work. on the flip we are forever young finishes off the single with a slow burning after hours vibe that will keep the clubbers nodding.
superb collection of early 90s underground deep house classics by the legendary dub maestro mk. first up is the hard-to-find remix of terence trent d arbys >surrender< which takes d arbys soulful vocal and puts some classic mk fire underneath it to create a awesome deep house banger which received heavy rotation both in the clubs and on the airwaves. next we get one of mks best dubs - his brilliant take on the b52s >tell it like it t-i-is<, a chugging house belter which adds a haunting bass and melody to the bands expertly chopped up vocal chants. the flip side keeps up the pressure with the awesome dub mix of betty boos >thing goin on<, another of his finest dub mixes, and lastly the in-demand classic >bicycle dub< of the pet shop boys >can you forgive her<, only ever available as a limited promo but huge on the underground scene.
THE ROOTS OF HIP HOP - FROM CHURCH TO GANGSTA (2X12 LP)
2x12 Inch LP 10.01.14
hip hop did not develop in a vacuum - its roots can be traced back to the earliest afro-american music, and the folks who were influenced by these sounds along the way. this lp compiles some of the great recordings that showcase the spoken word and street culture put forth from the 1920s through the 1960s that would go on to influence the entire rap music genre. the themes will be familiar - religion, politics, black experience, badass gangsta rap, speed, sex, drugs and rock n roll. lets listen to the lessons that the hipsters of the past taught the rappers of today.
