kapvt mvndi records is back in london with the new catalogue series, we moved from the first two chapter (the fourth vinyl retrospectively homage to war, kpt001 and kpt002, and to religion, the latest kpt003 and kpt004). the third chapter of our hidden tale is about “society”, with a single side ep, as usual, but with a new graphic scheme coming with pictured disk on the side with no music, one more time courtesy of new yorker photographer paolo di lucente.

anton pieete is known for his classic, textured take on house & techno. the dutchman has spent recent years exploring the reaches of his analogue set up, releasing a string of hugely popular eps for joris voorns rejected imprint. now he turns over his latest wares to ovum, with another impressive offering in the shape of themenu. while it may be our starter, first dish peven is definitely more of a main course. heady and intoxicating with itspercussive, funky drums and undulating keys, its carries us on its woozy wave of rich analogue bass. our appetite is further satisfied by the deeper sophisticated tones of lite green. its malleable, swinging groove is governed by its pulsating bassline and dense kick-drum as lazer synths sweep and claps fire on thisclassy cosmic jam. bn300s dramatic and ghostly strings are at odds with its frenetic bouncing bass melody and yet together theywork in complete harmony to create our final musical indulgence from the menu.

the first release from naissance musik (nm) is a 12” vinyl from the super-group dream scoring (hear and hakim murphy) entitled images of a myth. it is comprised of 4 tracks. a myth is a legendary story that a community validates to explain part of its reality. however any member or group within the community can have his or her own version of the myth, and the myth can also evolve through time. we may all listen to the same track but this track still calls up intimate images for each and every one of us. a myth is full of adventure and mystery, it is epic and full of emotions. it can be anything from the lost ark to greek gods fighting. the aim is to fill our bodies and minds with emotions. the main idea is to tell stories like books or movies, but through musical notes & rhythm. the music makers provide the musical image, the listeners create the myth. and vice-versa.

*isigude (pronounced - e-see-goo-de... meaning bird of paradise) is a newly founded record label based in athens, greece. for our debut release we have dug deep into the archives of greek jazz fusion to unearth and reissue some obscurities from the catalogue of esteemed composer michalis rakintzis. rakintzis should need no introduction to greek ears, widely recognised as a celebrated composer and lyricist since the 1980s with his career taking in more than 20 personal albums, numerous singles and several high profile collaborations. his composition “arrest”, lifted from 1988 s ost to the film -lifelong- was selected and included on the hugely popular greek music compilation -into the light- in 2012. for isigude s first 12- vinyl release we draw our focus to the 1987 track “i don’t believe” featuring vocalist eleni dimou. -i don t believe- combines pop, rock and eastern melodies and feelings and sold more than 100.000 on it s original release. featured here in remixed form by up and coming greek producer zaq (a.k.a img_02) the original composition is reimagined and the result is a low tempo dreamy, balearic disco burner with dimou s lyrics expressing her disbelief in love, beautiful moments, oaths and sacrifices, with her requesting to be set free. a truly beautiful and tasteful reimagining of a lost rarity, the perfect way to launch the label.

our fourth and also last release for 2016 is coming from john dimas. john is hailing from greece but is living in berlin at present. we have been following his productions for quite a while now and we are happy that we finally got him on board for our label. this ep contains three different tracks showing perfectly the versatility of johns productions and also at the same his skills of always adding that special dimas touch to his tracks.

acidworx continue it s mysterious vinyl journeys and our long awaited acid9 is here ! this time we bring you two irresistible cuts of banging, acid driven techno on the a-side, an atmospheric acid journey on b1, and a funky acid tech dj tool on the b2.

it all began with a licensing inquiry for a sister funk cut which we wanted to include on our deep funk comp titled “feeling nice vol. 3”. after the deal was completed producer fred forsh mentioned that the backing band of nadine brown’s masterpiece “leave me alone” had released a 45 themselves under their name teakwood. after mr. forsh played us both sides we knew that this 45 would have to be re-issued. what was about to follow nobody of us ever expected. mr. forsh told us that teakwood recorded almost a dozen of songs which were supposed to be released on a full length album. for unspecified reasons the album was never released and it remained in the can for almost 40 years. finally, we are very proud to announce the release of teakwood’s debut album “a distant star” in early 2017. until then you have to be content with this 45 rpm single re-issue.

for our third release we have zefzeed with two originals and u-more on remix duty. vinyl only.

following the widely acclaimed releases of fouk & kito jempere, our autumn release is nothing but a strictly family affair. kid grimm is indeed a brand new alias of our dear friend alland byallo, longtime collaborator of the label both for his production & awesome graphic works. with an impressive discography crossing over quality imprints such as third ear, bad animal, real tone or rawax, the san francisco born and berlin resident always got something exciting coming out of his machines.

french producer hugo lx returns with a new ep called “ascent” out on menace, 8 beautiful beats made with an incredible precision. hugo lx has been working in past with elzhi, large professor, homeboy sandman, oddisse, sadat x, the funk league, he is also known as a really good house producer, he proved that again with his recent releases on faces records, jazzy couscous or my love is underground. this release represent our first collaboration with the legendary fatbeats.

nachtbraker is back! its been a huge year for the amsterdam deep house juggernaut who returns to dirt crew with his all new and colorfully titled really ties the room together ep. constantly on the move, hes found time between touring throughout europe, asia and south america to continue to push his a-typical house sound forward with this years heist release and his quirky jam busy bee that was featured on our deep love 100 compilation. this three tracker is jam packed with bouncing club tunes and a whole lot of flange. things kick off with the title track really ties the room together. it twists and turns over an unconventional but irresistible groove, shimmying shakers, brass stabs and a serpentine riff work together creating a super tight dance floor cut. rew begins somewhere in deeper territory, suspense building beneath the clouds, a rumbling bass rolls in from over the horizon before a glorious funk guitar blows the whole thing wide open, letting the suns rays burst through and that familiar nachtbraker good time energy shine in. the rerub of rew is something altogether new from our deep house protagonist, a break beat and casual groove guide gently towards an ever intensifying acid trip. dont be fooled by the lovely deep chords, things get nasty in the end. its best to expect the unexpected from our adventurous resident producer, and this ep is no exception.

‘deixa rodar’ is an essential midtempo disco/boogie jam taken from hanna’s ‘deixa rodar’ lp from 1979. a tip off from our good friend mark ‘gv’ taylor, played at the first of our ‘braziloid’ sessions on brighton sea front.

we are proud to present souki for our third pfand release. third time is always a charm and this time, we bring our longtime close friend and collaborator souki with her stellar release hot jupiter. the outofthisworld title track, cowritten by the hubrist, features an eerie extraterrestial backdrop captured from the deep space array by nasa. also on this release is an upbeat remix by yapacc + hali under the cabin. the b side is packed with two stunning minimal tracks entitled chicxulup and korona, both contending title tracks on their own. and rounding out the release is the beautiful, atmosphereic track entitled etna which serves as a fitting way to close out this gorgeous ep.

what’s on help008? mainly music from the arhus-boy dj sports. it’s sort of a debut, but sports has released a bunch of tracks on regelbau and help over the past years, solo + with his groups maizena, sportscentral and lester. this young sensible producer initiates the release with the breaky hidden spheres that has a cool piano. next another leftwing original from sports. this one, with it’s flute, breakbeat, confident synth chords and beautiful minor nature is a favourite of mr. sports parents. this one is our favorite, his parents. if we haven’t lost you so far, the flipside contains a timeman dance version with more danceability, hook and playing time than the original version of the bridge that was released on the tape sportscentral. last but not least you get an alternative version of that get-in-touch-with-your-inner-passion/synthesizer-melody-rythmical-ambient-track mindless turns, that also originally appeared on the aforementioned tape. we hope you ll like our new record, that, if on repeat, might provide you hours and hours of by-yourself enjoyment.

royal athlete records are back with another set of party bombs, lovingly curated to achieve maximum perspiration. heading up side a is dreamers by uk s chaconne. a certified disco-piano-banger, recalling 80s nyc hedonism and emotion. (the real) kent clark, who so far has only one release on bordello s riviera disco series follows up with an electro-boogie dub workout entitled make it right . our man in holland: aux tha masterfader, takes us back to the old-school with the linndrum breakdance beast, let s dance to the beat ... he commands, we obey. closing up is dilemma, who recalls the memory of the early days of belgium s debauched nightlife with searing leads and low-motion grooves in bocca nights .

ixvlf is back at it again following the language of mini-album released earlier this year as part of our ongoing tape series. pushing it further from where we last left off, connor clasen’s vinyl debut reflects our ever growing desire to re-interpret club music in its most primitive and cartilaginous nature. while cleverly obscuring any reference to a specific period of time, involuntary movement shows a sense of the american-based producer stretching disorienting imagery over the existing landscape of proto-industrial — matching the visual interpretation of ailsa ogden undertaking the artwork by way of a new collaboration to be expanded over a handful of releases — where unpolished synthesizers and rhythm machines collide and bawl in a controlled crash. it is an exercise of existing in various states of detachment, a fixation on mechanical repetition and unpredictable behaviors through the haze of helium laughter. definitely one for the animals.

as our favourite victims head off to san francisco and their stateside studio of choice known as room g to put the finishing touches to their third lp, we have a beautiful little taster of what to expect in the form of the matching half ep.

future times is back at you with more hot wax!! dc s own ov, who came correct with the opening cut on our vibe 3 compilation, shares this 12- with diego (also known as dude energy, suzanne kraft) and together they lift off into the atmosphere with two dope cuts. big tip! . ov s -perc song (chords)- sets a perfect, humid scene full of string licks and syncopated chunk, before it rinses the -(chords)- and cools way out, setting the scene for -crack- on the flip. diego s track climbs all the way up, cutting in slippery drums and arpeggios underneath the floating, soaked synths, before the end of the tune gives way to pure pad bliss.

lars von licht’s -from arrows“ is exactly one of this sort: an almost 15min live jam, both simple and sophisticated. a track for special moments and for special people, perfect for reanimating supérieur. one of the frst persons whom i gave this tune last year s summer was lee burridge, who played it straight away at burning man. admittedly, this release took some time, but we wanted to fnd the right moment and the right remixer. we considered many options but came back to one of our own people in the end. dodi palese who released his connaisseur debut earlier this year, felt like the right person to challenge this track and we were right. he has transformed it into a tribalistic high energy bomb, with an unexpected, big synth theme, blowing you away. yes, we are more than happy about this release and it was well worth the wait.

• our next release sees the welcome return of dez williams. since his first ep on the label in 2013, a lot has happened for the welsh wizard. releases for shipwrec, bedouin, new flesh and bass agenda have followed, while his reputation as a killer live act has continued to grow. opening with lumphammer, dez harks back to a time when big, brooding basslines were king. add in whistling keys, tribal percussion and a few well-timed breakdowns, and you have what is surely one of his biggest tracks to date. order to fight takes a more aggressive route - a vocal-fused slab of raw acid, it leads nicely onto the flip, where kabin feeva s wild roaring synths are tuned specifically for the headstrong. work like crazy meanwhile, sees dez return to his roots with a bass heavy cut of crunched electro, doused in a dark filtered vox.

2016 reissue - this rarity from the thule catalog has been considered by many to be one of the finest releases from the label and has been extremely sought after by techno-loving vinyl collectors. these couple of minimal techno masterpieces were released in 1998 and immediately caught the attention of big names within the industry, such as richie hawtin. from the hypnotic and atmospheric t1 to the driven minimal beauty of t2 this release is a solid feast for the ears, mind and soul. thor (thorhallur skulason) is one of the founders of the thule records legacy. with his numerous releases on sushitech berlin, connaisseur recordings and missile records (to name a few), he has established himself as one of the leading techno producers of our generation. thule records is considered by many to be a pioneer in the field of dub-influenced techno music and was a starting point for many of icelands most renowned electronic musicians. repress
