the third release of >abend kollektiv limited< named >abd tools< is produced by ko-ta from kushiro, a land blessed by kotankorkamuy. we are fairly certain that these four percussive minimal tools build a groove that works multipotent on your dj set.
heavy support by radio slave, sam divine, acid pauli, green velvet and maceo plex to name a few, while also being played on radio stations world wide. the album <axen> marks the beginning of a new chapter for the glitz as they embark on a journey beyond the world of electronic music. after a wide range of beautiful, inspiring, provoking and uplifting the glitz-singles, we are now approaching the full album in all its might. the singles have shown us the diverse soundscapes you can find in andreas and daniels musical multiverse, with the genres ranging from the classic house and techno genres, to also introducing their take on trip hop, neo rnb, hip hop, ballad and electronica. this journey into their musical realm has resonated with fans and colleagues alike the last months, putting the first single on position 1 in the german club charts for four weeks straight (it is still in the beatport top100 after 7 months). born out of a desire to create a space to explore and expand their unique sound, their new album <axen> is a bold extension of the glitz vision and purpose. it has been a long time coming and is the result of four intense years in the studio together with the unique and talented singer and songwriter mulay. and now it is time to present the full album to the world. <axen> is the mesmerising product of one of their many jam sessions in the studio. it carries the unique the glitz fingerprints all over it while also letting them shine in a new context. the slow flowing hip hop beat paired with mulays raw vocals and incredibly poetical and personal lyrics is a must hear for old and new the glitz-fans alike.
medellín bastard verraco strikes back with three eclectic and murderer cuts. brutal electro and techno poisoned with synthwave jabs to hijack putrid dancefloors.
mixtapes these days come a fraction of a penny a dozen and amid the inundation, a tiny ratio of these mixes truly deserves your precious time. the elusive british dj nommo hunzuu has pieced together one such essential collage for your ears with drinnen traum (translation: indoors dream). over an hour of painstaking aural weaving, nommo hunzuu lures you into his own distinctive aural universe that favors odd juxtapositions and immersive atmospheres laced with complementary film dialogue and gnomic declarations from culture icons like william s. burroughs and timothy leary.
welcome to ‘magic maze’ a guided meditation from oslo’s helene rickard. over two sides of a c60 cassette, the norwegian dj curates an immersive journey through imaginary landscapes and possible musics, marrying the organic and synthetic into a deep tissue massage of healing frequencies. showing infinite patience, the camp cosmic regular gradually oscillates between fourth world exotica and pastoral new age, at once opening our minds with the celestial splendour of crystalline chimes connecting us all with future primitive hymns. as we float along under helene’s benevolent gaze we encounter each of the elements, oceanic reverb, vaporous reeds, earthy drones and smouldering tones, each imparting its own ancient wisdom as we pass.
but enlightenment seldom comes without adversity and the mixtape’s most divine moments often appear in the wake of disorienting intensity. fortune favours the brave, and if you free your mind, open your heart and follow the twists and turns of the ‘magic maze’, your rewards with be both earthly and divine.
the first vinyl version of the upcoming cd album with some magical works of unit moebius. this first 12inch contains some of their hottest tracks including the legendary >world goes around<, an evil cover of a classic chicagohouse track by cool mccool. the flip side contains the more deeper side from their first releases. for those who were there in those years 91/92/93, at the famous parties in the hague and rotterdam, this is a walk down memory lane, for those to young or living in other parts of the world... imagine these tracks in a dark, very dark sweaty basement with only strobe light and smoke machines, camouflage nets, and jacking acid and techno sounds for more then 10 ours. djs such as i-f, serge, schmerzlabor, peter ptau ptau and live acts such as unit moebius played the hottest and freshest music all night long until you lost your sense of time and place and ended in a total mind trip. the pure essence of house and techno! the golden years :-)

during one long winter s night in a neon-lit paris, a restless young man wanders around to let himself be found by something that most people otherwise try to avoid: ghosts. and the night is full of unexpected encounters in this ultra-chic film, which is neither documentary nor fiction, but rather an adaptation of the idea that jacques derrida defines in a guest star appearance on the cinema screen: that film plus psychoanalysis is equal to the science of ghosts - ie. a form of spectrography , which the french artist smith in her self-ironic, self-conscious, science-fiction essay of a film, conjures up with thermal infrared and in the dialogue s mosaic of quotes of rambling french philosophy, from breton and barthes to merleau-ponty and derrida himself. hyper-modern and rich in (retro) references.
