boy we couldnt resist hooking up with one of the youngest and brightest proteges in the west-coast undergound to slap out some crazy remixes of the bsu ep for yall. who is he? why, a made up sound ofcourse, or 2562 for short. steamrolling his way onto the scene in 2007, 2562 has been a mainstay from the get go, with amazing production skills and a keen ear for what rocks the house. in a very short time the 2562 name became almost synonimous for dubstep. but luckily for us theres the made up sound guise to provide us with a more mutant hybrid of slamming jak-step (and remember where you read that first). so take your pick, heres one for the heads and one for the bodies.

italian audio/visual artist federico leocata, born in 1987, releases his first ep on weme in the weme313 category. inspired and sponsored by heinrich mueller (arpanet, der zyklus, dopplereffekt) he creates an uncluttered and cold electro, totally honest and whole-hearted/flawless. each song has a well defined role in the structure, leaning on a square rhythm, opppresive bass, frightening tunes, giving a futuristic and fantastic music as a result. this first record suggests a prolific future for this young artist.

fear of flying regular leif provides the 4th release for fofs revitalised limited label. a supa slick slice of modern vocal house, priority sees leif up his game with supremely tight production, a killa funked up b-line and sensual vocal from new recruit donna lea. for remix duties we opted for the up & coming talents of young un ethyl along with production partner flori. they come up with an altogether different take, coaxing elements of the vocal into a bigger sounding deep house experience. finally we thought we opt for a little bit of a curve ball in the shape of daze maxim. upon hearing dazes installment in the excellent story series we knew he was someone we needed to get on board - here daze strolls into tough tech house territory with a groove slightly reminiscent of rick wade at his most dance floor
