kraftek is very proud to present a special edition limited vinyl pressing featuring 2 brand new remixes from label heads pleasurekraft. on the a-side, the track that first put pleasurekraft on the map and now revered as one of the all-time classics of tech house, ôtarantulaö. after several initial vinyl pressings all of which sold out when it first came out in 2010- this marks the first time the track is available on vinyl again. however, the real jewel in the crown here is the boys new techno take on their original. darker, harder, and meaner, the Ĺ7 year itch reworkĺ marks the 7 year anniversary of the track and showcases the musical evolution of the duo as they have gone from strength to strength, having embraced a much tougher techno sound which has brought them the enthusiastic support of icons like carl cox, adam beyer, nicole moudaber, kolsch & more. on the flip side, american techno producer charles duff aka matrixxman has seen a meteoric rise in just a few short years. from the early crosstown rebels days to matthew dearĺs spectral to now being a cornerstone of the dekmantel family, here he gets his track -the spell- a steroid injected remix from pleasurekraft. while the beautiful ethereal hook of the original remains intact, the drums and new supporting synth lines make for a behemoth of a canvas for the lead to shine on. we are very proud to present this special limited edition kraftek vinyl series vol 2.

after scoring one of 2010 s biggest anthems with the ubiquitous tarantula, pleasurekraft return with another irresistible, charismatic big room groove ľ already counting plays from the uk s biggest tastemakers, radio 1 s pete tong and annie mac. galloping beats and off-beat bass do battle in mischievous fashion on this colourful cut, with synth brass, cheeky little stabs, electro leads, organ chords and plucked motifs taking it in turns to fill in the gaps around the killer groove and keep your attention hooked. it s all topped off with another one of their distinctive, otherworldly, gated vocals, and taken to the nth level with big builds and bold flourishes of energy. the result is an infectious, fist-pumping delight which will surely be one of 2011 s most memorable moments, and that once again shows this duo to be two of house & tech music s most innovative talents. on the remix front, hungary s jay lumen continues his fine run of form that has seen him release on labels such as 100% pure and kling klong with a percussive, funk-laced workout that drops us somewhere between filter house and groovy techno, with rolling fills and big throbs of bass. label boss rainer weichhold teams up with heartik on the other remix, taking a bit more of a ôre-editö approach, keeping plenty of the original s flavour intact and marrying it to rolling, incessant tech house beats for more of a consistent ride
every once in a while you get a track, that due to its killer hook and dancefloor presence goes on to become a smash hit. well people, edu imbernon s eklektisch are about to unleash this years first, in tarantula. incl. remixes by hugo and uner. supported & played by sasha & digweed, laurent garnier, mark knight, deetron, x-press 2, sharam, anja schneider, danny howells, layo & bushwacka, mathias kaden
odd recordings launch their new vinyl series oddwax. within a relative short period the label has managed to gain the attention of dj s and ravers alike - with tracks like pachamama that was championed by carl cox for months, radiate that was played numerous times at bpm festival & awakenings, nagelbett thats been hammered by adam beyer for the last year & oddball (sasha carassi remix) thats caused a riot in ibiza this season with multiple plays from sasha & digweed - all four hits shot up the charts, hammered all over the globe and now for the first time available on vinyl. label heads arjun vagale & ramiro lopez have carefully curated the first in the series
reaching our 100th release seems surreal. i started it with 50 bucks and a defiant attitude to release music i felt wasnĺt repped elsewhere. the label has grown into a renegade family, and worldwide techno brand. proud of every single achievement and mistake we have made, we felt it fitting to gather a selection of our favorite artists and showcase our vision on the current state of classic modern techno. here s to another 10000. octopus for life.
up first is get enough, seven minutes of seductive techno that has an almost machine-gun like disco synth firing across the groove. it is a rumbling peak time track with real force and energy that will bring any floor to life. the title track, toleranz, is a gritty and stripped back basement cut with dry hits and burrowing acid bass that takes you deep into the night. cobra then proves this pair have real breadth in the studio and is a barrel chested house cut with more big hits, rib rattling bass and incendiary techno hi hats that really get you on your toes. remixing are the tech duo of pleasurekraft, whose releases on octopus and mood records have won them plenty of dj and dancing fans. they layer in some dark melodies to sq80 and build it steadily before allowing the militant drums and crisp snares to explode and drive you and the whole club forwards.
adam beyers drumcode juggernaut attracts more fans and critical plaudits with each passing year. holding firm on its future facing ethos, techno s number one label presents a new volume in its acclaimed a-sides series with 20 prime tracks to signify its 20th anniversary. such is the volume of quality music adam beyer receives throughout the course of the year, releasing all of it would be impossible. enter the blue chip a-sides series: a chance for the quality-obsessive label head to issue a collection of outstanding tracks that couldn t fit in their regular ep release schedule. with an eye on future talent, as much as the label s established roster of heavy-hitters, the compilation showcases the full breadth of drumcode s multifaceted techno sound, equal parts inspiring and functional. the compilation takes in exciting highlights from big guns such as alan fitzpatrick, dustin zahn, bart skils, pleasurekraft, luca agnelli, jay lumen, kaiserdisco and gary beck. also showcasing emerging techno talent boxia, enrico sangiuliano, juan sanchez, ian o donovan and timmo also drop fire, establishing their credentials as some of the most promising talent breaking through the ranks in 2016.
the original, with a well-constructed bassline incorporates a warm up melody that begins to set the tone for the night ahead. each layer is distinct as the track begins to build itself right to its crescendo when each of those individual layers collectively come together. you can distinctly hear the 80 s like synths that are cleverly inserted into the track which are highlighted by the female vocal samples. the grittier elements add a touch of darkness and instantly transport you to a warehouse club with an intimate atmosphere. the remix, done by the widely loved tech-house duo pleasurekraft jack up the tempo a notch, and add a bouncy groove to the track. where the original brought out a darker side, the remix is more upbeat and settles in well for a peak hour set. bringing that crisp bassline to the fore, and tuning out the melodies to make them a tad subtler it showcases a more tech-house version of the original. there s an added element a slightly more haunted vibe which is coupled together with those gritty and harder elements. all i can conclude is what a tech-house bomb this is from the highly talented pleasurekraft. they always manage to bring something new and unique to every single track they ve ever remixed which truly shows their remarkability as consistently good producers.
you know you are ready for something special when lord umek comes up with a one-tracker, and even the title on this one lets you know you are in for a manic ride. sly bass sets the tone, under the tightly-wound rhythm section and flashy stabs make way for a cheeky vocal that takes the lead role. the busy drum edits keep the adrenaline levels high at all times and yet another page is written in production history, with umeks trademarked sound.

there is a clear house/ techno divide on the first two cds with disc one representing la terraza and disc two la discoteca. whilst both are consistent to their genre they offer a mixture of lighter summery tracks compared to darker dense tones and provide an apt description of your clubbing experience. la terraza features tracks from the likes of affkt & coyu, dj madskillz remix of gregor tresher.... la discoteca is far more deep and techy in comparison featuring tracks from artists such as robert hood, technasia, secret cinema, mark broom ..
