the second lobster theremin white label comes from the mysterious australian producer, daze. making his release debut with four original tracks, daze covers varying strains of tough melodic house, ferocious acid and old school breakbeat, taking us on an experiential journey into the heart of british rave culture via detroit-influenced electro and rough and ready tape jams.

though the iconic imagery of disco feels distinctly tied to the united states, the style had a wide-reaching influence that made it’s way to africa. while africa was already no stranger to the pulsing rhythms of funk, afro-beat, and highlife, the rise of disco added a slick sheen to the music, with musicians from all over the continent incorporating elements of the genre into their sounds. would there ever have been a studio 54 in ghana in late 70s, these would have been the recordings that would have packed the dance floor with their deep root in disco, soul & funk! an album recorded in the late 70s packed full of legendary musicians such as harry mosco and many more… to be re-discovered 35 years after it’s initial vinyl release as a private press. a “disco documentary full of funk” proves that it stands the test of time by sounding as fresh and original as any other sought-after disco / soul funk lp from the west coast of africa in the late 70s. bbe went on another crate-digging journey and found the original producer reindorf nana oppong and the original master tapes were dusted off, transferred to digital. in the process of this, even un-released material was discovered on the tapes, which makes this a rather special package. “nana love - disco documentary full of funk” is one special journey through afro disco & boogie in the late 70s, and we at bbe can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed!!!

tomohiko sagae for the second release of bte records! an ep techno-oriented, with industrial influences of great strength and energy. a release of high-impact, quality and thickness, and that gives a nod to the dancefloor. two remixes and two original tracks that embody the spirit that underground bte wants to convey. the ep includes two powerful remixes by victor martinez and chemie who complete the journey. bte - music before everything!

bobby b (a.k.a andre ferreira) is perhaps best known as bobby browser, as he is previously issued a pair of eps for the 100% silk label under that name. those records were excellent, but its fair to say that his icee hot debut finds ferreira exploring a richer, deeper sound. >history< is slow-burning deep house jaunt that subtly nods to detroit along the course of its soul-drenched journey. >so true< warms things up, but only slightly, as its relaxed tones, warbling melodies, and loosely stitched breakbeat offer a blissed-out path to the dancefloor.

more like encouraging advice than a description of our sound. a home for music of the night. music to make you wonky and stay out longer than you planned. dilo is from argentina but makes music in berlin. hes been flying under the radar but not for long. this track is slinky and tripped out and we love it. we also love mathias meyers music and alongside patlac theyve been creating some magic as of late. strings and tight beats make for a more emotional journey which we also like.
