it s been a busy 2014 so far for label head dubfire. whilst nothing unusual for the persian-born producer, with the revival of deep dish (alongside sharam), the release of their new single quincy, the continuation of the sci+tec radio show, the release of his much vaunted remix of come featuring asia argento and his relentless global touring schedule, it would be a surprise to find even a slither of studio time for original dubfire productions.

inside these airless sarcophagi, the passing of time renders objects once forged from molten metals as fragile as paper, so delicate a gust of wind could destroy them for ever. once deadly weapons now oxidised to dust are proof of the futility of man in the face of time. all regimes will crumble over years, all empires turn to dust…the more potent an object in its former life, the more poignancy in its nebulous disintegration. the shattered radio controls, the gun turned to a rusted block like a child s toy, the bullets corroded to nothing are all exiled from their brutal pasts. what messages are locked in time that passed through the obliterated decoding machine, who alive if anyone can tell its secrets.

sfx recordings is back with a third vinyl fully dedicated to fat tech house groove! noon delivering us four new tracks exclusively on vinyl. those tracks are a mix up of different style, some more deeper and melodic and other more focus on fat rolling bass line, they have all a real value for each moment of the parties keeping the theme trademark sound of noon. a must to have for the summer, just get it and rock it!

at its very first start, the new label founded by conrad van orton proposes a vinyl of his own with two original tracks on the a side, november and captivity archives. and two great remixers such as vsk and the mysterious annuled user on the other. just as the needle starts to mark the passage, the classic four quarters give life to a beat that between one step and another compresses catapulting reality in a classic industrial scenario of mid-autumn where the clear sky gets marked by black and deep plots. a background noise accompanies the whole programming part of the drumming that gives off a relentless pace. on the a side captivity archives reconfirms the industrial nature of cvo with a look towards distant galaxies ..... with the needle still hot we turn around the record to the b side. here we find the vsk remix with a more ambient and crystal clear sound. to the original drum, vsk, choose an equally technical percussion. all home made. last but not least the contribution given by annulled user. trademark? techno! .. and there is nothing here to mess about with. 4/4 dry, hard which feel anger and rebellion desire. the kick, fairly present, is ripped apart by some demonic filters. the 5.30 min of annulled user are a reminiscence of the 90s.

this holographic release was inspired by black hole thermodynamics. in the case of omni, the insight was that the sound content of all fallen objects might be contained in surface fluctuations of the event horizon. siren to siren is microscopically random, like a hot gas. a known configuration of classic tape sounds has zero entropy: there is nothing random about binary configurations. if one throws a hot gas with entropy into the g count, the entropy would disappear - producing aggressive bandwidths, and ragga baselines.

luckyme are very proud to present the ‘rosario ep from s-type.s-types rise started in spring 2012. emerging, gleaming and show-stopping from rustie’s seminal bbc essential mix was a track called ‘billboard’ from a new producer that was part of the luckyme family as far back as his teenage years. the track had soundcloud and blog commentators looking around for the hugest most galactic superlatives for this ‘superhero’ music. as skyscraping as the biggest us hip hop instrumentals but born of the ferment of glasgow’s world-wowing club world, it made it into end of year ‘best of’ polls as well as the dj sets of rustie, tnght,and benji b. s-type aka 27 yo scot bobby perman started getting recognised down the shops glasgow. he was catapulted onto a 30 + date us tour and found himself in the studio with kindred spirits araabmuzik and baauer. there were rumours of national electronic goods adverts in south korea and s-type tracks in the running for inclusion on drakes nothing was the same album. on 19th sept 2013, the buzz started all over again as luckyme family member Éclair fifi dropped a new s-type tune ‘rosario’ on her bbc radio 1 in new djs we trust show. now luckyme can announce the wait is over. lm017 aka s-type’s ‘rosario’ ep is coming out on 16/6/2014. ‘rosario’ sets the scene with a 2 min intro called ‘outside (inside)’, featuring rustie and yc the cynic, a rapper from hunts pont, the bronx that xxl called ‘one of the most promising artists in recent years’, the complex wordplay sounding perfect over bobby’s wide screen arrangement. ‘franco’ is a fierce club banger with plenty of his signature chord work. ‘lost girls’ stunts and fizzes in the way only an s-type track can. for the outro ‘inside (outro)’, bobby’s sweeping instrumental sets the scene for long island mc (and one time flipmode squad member) roc marciano, who sharply describes the beat as ‘historic’. s-type addicts, he’s back. early dj support from hudmo, kode 9, baauer, joker, rl grime and jackmaster.

the last few years have seen chicago footwork rise to international success, and traxmans debut album - *the mind of traxman* on planet mu - played no small part in that. it showcased cornelius fergusons brilliant ability to synthesise the beat digging of classic hip hop with the high-speed abstraction of footworks house-derived beat science. the selection of tracks on this second chapter show a slightly different take on traxman s abilities. instead of bringing in concepts from other genres, he simply creates a wider variety of footwork, made with a minimal, reduced palette. often just one or two samples are selected and diced into brain-blurring cubist puzzles that bear little relation to their original sources, or anything else for that matter.

franz meersdonk und günther willers aka rdf are back on the road. the speedometer obviously tweaked, turned up and back on track. on the way tramper simon sunset got on board, et voila: made himself comfortable in the back cabin. left a bunch of wood back there. they drove the semi right into the sawmill and took care of the rough pre-cut themselves. cutter lowtec supported the two street heroes with all he’s got, or rather, he actually applied his own cutting-machine-operation. simon sunset’s wood cuttings were molded by a bunch of saws, slicers, and files. and for a final fine-tuning herb lf came running out of the canteen. and lo and behold, the machines spit out three beautifully stable pieces of wood with the finest texture- pattern captured in a stable frame of bark. so good was the material to begin with that nothing was left over for old, stinky bark mulch

amazing techno and nothing for weak nerves. monya starts her own label corresponding positions with a belter of an ep. nothing less then two originals produced by herself plus remixes by perc and bas mooy. while the title track >steine im weg< is constantly raving forward with some distorted yet energetic basslines the second original >verweht< is more about the atmosphere and depth of sounds. perc and bas mooy both reworked the second track and definitely added a lot of raw power to this piece of vinyl. its an authentic and varied 4 tracker which will for sure find ist way to plenty of record cases and triggers our curiosity for what correspondign positions will come up with in the future. mastering by dubit, soluxion lab berlin.

the first release is always a big milestone for any label. in our case the first one (astrac ep) is also a long anticipated one, the title track waiting to be released for a long time. so far there is nothing ordinary about ztrls career as he had a big fan base without a single release or a dj gig. as a result of his ongoing inspiration by ricardo villalobos and encouragement from a:rpia:r s petre inspirescu among others he sharpened his producer skills which yielded astrac ep, another 2013 release on pluie/noir recordings compilation (pluie/noir year one) and an independent release on soul.on records titled >soul two< which was also remixed by the hungarian laurine frost. on top of his producer activity hes an avid record collector and a regular guest on uks rejam radio show, hes also done a podcast mix for the romanian nightclubber webzines unknown 500 series.

following their acclaimed debut album, migration, on prins thomas internasjonal label in 2012, jamie paton and nigel hoyle (aka nigel of bermondsey) have seemed relatively quiet save for the odd remix here and there. tucked away deep in their south east london base though, a series of remixes and solo projects have been steadily forming. with new c&a material planned for 2014, plus more to come from jamies new solo efforts, as well as nigel making a long overdue reappearance in maurice & charles, now seems the right time to draw a line under their collective work to date. here then are a collection of unreleased interpretatons, including the sought after vocal remix of psychedlic darlings, in goats anthemic run to your mama. this is followed by a late night dub of 80s pop duo blancmange that mixes strings, guitar and some dub bass with a dose of space echo before bringing neil arthur s classicly recognisable refrain shining through. to finish is a remix of goats label mates teeth of the sea. fx-soundtrack vocal, bubbling 303 and 808 combine on a proper 3am dub that builds beyond some mere drug-chug.

blm, or ben micklewright, has been increasingly on the radar of quality house heads in recent years with output for underground quality and secretsundaze nudging his profile slowly but surely. his stewardship of fear of flying alongside jay massive has resulted in the label, in similarly steady fashion, becoming a mustcheck for fans of the deeper end of house techno who are seeking something that sidesteps trends.blm is at his best when turning in moody, hypnotic and robust house cuts imbued with a distinct uk stylings and that is exactly what he does on *easy knocking* while also turning in electroid tones on opening cut, *paris beatdown*. the result is a classic sounding 4-track ep that has picked up support from efdemin, hackman, djulz, citizen and mosca.

blank slate presents the debut of the düve project, a collaboration between soren jahan and ali Çakir. combining live recorded drums and instrumentation, samples from vintage 78s, internet videos and analogue electronics, this fifth instalment holds nothing back.

this young serbian producer was already introduced on keno records 15 with his great fargo remix. on his first solo release he show us his full potential and his ability to produce epic bassline driven deep house tracks that really stand out. jaxson & david keno are crashing the party and move >i can t go on< into a complete different direction. nice mixture again.
