2020 repress! 747’s paleo is an essential acid collection of eight diverse tracks, with a vinyl-exclusive d side. aquaregia’s first long playing release weaves through the different faces of acid on a time travelling trip through geological history. the journey begins with warm pads enveloping lush landscapes fringing the shallow, prehistoric seas where swarms of trilobites frenetically scurry, seeking to survive and evolve. roiling subaquatic vulcanism rules the b side, a seeding ground for exotic crystals whose hexagonal points vie for space as the magma cools and the minerals speciate. we’re then taken further into the depths, where planispiral ammonoids swim in the pseudo-antigravity of the saline seas. and finally, closing out the excursion, we’re transported from ages past, through the fleeting present into the future, to a warming ocean with disrupted ecosystems and unpredictable currents, the effect of a morphing climate.

transllusion alias, is the 3rd outing of the project and, surrounded with an even brighter aureole than the previous recordings, confirms the status of its producers mastermind.

terje saether and robert solheim met at a party they both played at, clicked and started playing together. this soon lead to this, their first collaboration. dinky, of norway and fredrik bekkaasen loved the project and was happy to contribute with their remixes. this is the result, the ep tres hermanas . the fourth sister, dolores, disappeared along the way, but will hopefully return for the digital release. finally the four hermanas will be reunited.

this has always been a rare 12inch originally only released in the uk in 1979, phoenix was considered to be too disco at the time and the release pretty much sank without trace - one reason why finding those original uk 12inches is near on impossible these days. just 2 copies on discogs and a mint one will be circa £50 if you re ever lucky enough to find one. however, since 1979 phoenix has grown in stature and what was once considered to be a twee disco tune has now become a huge collector s item and a staple in the right clubs. no surprise really as this is norman connors at the top of his game and the production is red-hot. how phoenix never made it to 12inch vinyl in the u.s. is one of the great mysteries of life but here it is on beautiful fresh 12inch vinyl some 38 years later. as with all our 12inch re-issues we ve replicated the original label. luckily there are no bootlegs to contend with on this release, so this is the first re-issue of this song since the original release date, so order with confidence

deep techno that nods to mid 90s detroit techno, carl craigs more songs about food and revolutionary art, kenny larkin s dark comedy, reese. we obviously receive a lot of demos at crowdspacer, and we can t listen to them all, one detail has to catch our attention. it can be how you present yourself, a weird artwork, or like here, a name, aqua matrix. i wanted to check what aqua matrix was about. and what a surprise to hear such amazingly produced deep techno that brought me back to my love for mid 90s detroit techno, carl craigs more songs about food and revolutionary art, kenny larkin s dark comedy, reese. this is aqua matrix first ep. he s from portugal and i can t wait to hear what he comes up with next.

the next alien jams 12” is from rkss, entitled cutoff ep. these four tracks were recorded in 2014 within a period of two weeks, using a juno-60 and vermona retroverb lancet. perhaps their most dance-able release to date, cutoff interweaves aquarian dream-like electronics throughout soggy percussion and glistening chimes. propelling the listener forward, rkss churns through water-logged signals, while synths cut through in gusts of euphoria.

belgian duo raw district return to the crosstown rebels label with addicted, teaming up with the formidable aquarius heaven again for the label, this time remixed by the infamous doc martin and keinemusiks rampa. an ex reggae dancehall and hip hop singer aquarius heaven brings the colors of the caribbean to addicted. raw districts flamboyant percussions grinds the beats into a track that stretches the limitations of electronic music. rampas remix illustrates the breadth of his studio skills, as founder of a production company teile, he builds soaring synths and strumming piano to elevate the emotional aspect to addicted equipping it for the early hours of the night. doc martin has earned the respect of many over his extensive career for his timeless style that bridge many genres. his remix is a driving, dub-tastic, tribal take on the original that has been going down a storm!

the first of a string of new releases from robert solheim in 2014. a dubbed out progressive house track aimed for the late night club floor, a lovely deep-house remix from carlo (neovinyl / good ratio) and a funky stripped down tech-house remix from norways end & below (small records / aquavit records).

graze minerals possess a superlative lustre, which is most notably seen in diamond. such frequencies are transparent or translucent in nature, and have a high refractive index. tones with a true adamantine lustre are uncommon, with examples being cerussite and zircon. mweapon minerals display luminous bass bands, which appear to move as the specimen is rotated. such frequencies are composed of parallel fibers, which reflect sound into a direction perpendicular to their orientation, thus forming narrow bands of light. the most famous examples are fm and subtractive, but the effect may also occur in other sound banding - such aquamarine, moonstone and tourmaline. scrap minerals consist of thin transparent co-planar sheets. light reflecting from these layers give them a lustre reminiscent of pearls. such minerals possess perfect cleavage, with examples including muscovite and moss opal.

achtung, warning, balushi is out with two new techno bombs for the summer. on the a side let me be myself is a deep aquatic adventure with a huge basline chugging along. there are some deep dark underwater effects and vocal snippets which develop into a deep stabby groove that hypnotizes anyone listening to the track. there is then a break with a beautiful vocal derived from the snippets that refreshes the listener and takes them into another dimension before bringing them back into the heavy hipnotic groove. on the aa side we have the path one hell of a tecno crossover designed to electrify and rock summer crowds all globally...with a funky meaty bassline that rolls on and perfectly complements both rasta vocals and crazy electronic synths and squelches the path is a fat groove to look out for on the hottest dancefloors...
