adelaide duo warren raww present a 12” that ups the energy of their july ep, whilst still delivering on their own brand of melodic, synth-laden house music. this time flanked by comrades arthur miles and freddie norwood, they add to the already high volume of talent currently emanating from australia.
the a side offerings shift between the more low-end driven aspect of warren raww’s production style, with off-kilter bass lines, punchy percussion and contemplative chord progression. the b side strips things back a bit further with a track each from arthur miles and freddie norwood. gliding pads, raw percussion, broken beats and rolling drums all melt together to deliver an essential slab of house music.

kicking off the bump sampler is head honcho luke solomon, with his remix of anytime insanity by lil mark. it features vocals by us based vocalist allegra bandy. next up is the brett johnson remix of hot by copenhagen based producer kim kemi. on the b side lil mark s original production runaway, gets the remix treatment by the infamous matt tolfrey for his ec1 mix series. rounding off the sampler is bandwagoneer, a brand new production by lil mark.

‘consistency’, the second lp from the berlin-based techno artist. the 11 track release follows 2014’s ‘en route’ and will be released on heiko laux’s label kanzleramt, a label with which kajioka has worked with closely for over a decade. consistency lp bears all the marks of a kajioka release: a collection of deep, driving, groove-laden and synth-focused cuts. heady grooves which leave little question why ray kajioka is held in such high regard among techno veterans, called upon regularly for remix honours by the the likes of heiko laux, joel mull, pan-pot, elbee bad, alexander kowalski and marc romboy, to name but a few. kajioka’s reputation for faultless production remains consistent on this, his sophomore lp. the full, extended physical release of consistency contains 3 vinyl disks: 2 x 12” lp disks plus a free, bonus 12”.

with this ep best works records would like to pre-sent a new artist - luis junior. no stranger to the game! madrid-based luis junior has been a dj and music producer for more than 20 years. in 1993 he re-leased his first 12-inches starting to build a disco-graphy of genre-defying music that pushes forever forward, designing new stylistic frameworks and breaking new artistic ground with each successive production. luis has grown into one of the most cut-ting edge and inspiring artists in spanish electronic music. his versatile production skills are clearly displayed here from soulful and folkloristic influences to techno. the first track on the ep “don’t give up on me” fea-tures singer sobi thurairatnam with sultry vocals and a stong pop-appeal. d-nox and beckers tranform it into a club burner for the early hours. floidos on the back-side is more of techno-orientated banger and with pasion luis junior manages to integrate some spanish flamenco sounds without getting to obvious.

harleighblu x starkiller is a formidable link-up between british soul/electronic singer harleighblu and la duo starkiller (the production outfit of c.e. garcia & alfredo e. fratti, members of adrian younges venice dawn). a science fiction film in sonic form, the amorine lp tells a tragic future love story in which high drama collides with a cool, clean, sci-fi atmosphere via hip hop sensibilities that draw on musical references from psychedelic funk to dj shadow to portishead.

eshone (donnie valdez) is a 31 year-old graphic designer, music producer and dubstep dj from albuquerque, new mexico now living in poland. eshone has performed in twenty states and several countries, including: canada, denmark, poland, the netherlands, and slovenia. donnie s earliest musical memories were his electric guitar playing days and listening to heavy-metal bands from twenty-five years ago. learning this instrument and listening to heavy-metal expanded donnie s musical horizons to signal processing and sound manipulation. armed with technical knowledge, donnie shifted his focus to music production in 2004, specifically, drum and bass. eshone makes tunes quickly because of his innovative production techniques and instant application of his craft. his frenetic production pace is closely related to his high-energy live three deck sets. donnie learned how to mix in 2003 and had plans on becoming a turntablist. currently, donnie prefers to mix and blend his productions, which focus on heavy basslines and anthemic grooves while keeping a dark vibe and gritty texture. donnie s love of nature and music gave him incentive to create his record label, elk beats. the elk is very similar to donnie s music, internet presence, and online persona: peaceful, present, and powerful. donnie enjoys spontaneous activities, such as: fly fishing, skateboarding, and snowboarding. his other passion is music, and eshone s productions are custom-made for large rooms with low-lights, loud sound systems, and an intense emotional experience.

petter svensson aka nebula recently had a release out co-operated with kord which sound were more in the hard techno ebm edge. here is a more limited sound and so far nebula has it s limited gear... neverless, here is -less is more- used no other gear than an old yamaha drummachine, some volca and a mastersynth. co-operation and post-production by jbs.

javier orduna grew up with the sound of legendary punk associates like the bad brains, joy division or dead kennedys. but already in the 80s he was dedicated to acid house and the techno of detroit which brought an inspiring vibe to his frst productions. an infuence you can still hear in his recent works. emerging into barcelona s vibrant electronic music scene in the early 2000ers with residencies e.g. at the legendary moog club orduna was soon touring clubs around the world and releasing his output on visionquest, viva music or moda black. what brought him to jeudi were his undeniable production skills and his big warm and crazy heart. for our 26th release we are proud to have him on board with this stunning 4 tracker defnitely will fnd some lovers out there.

patrick wade, better known as dead horse beats is a producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist living in montreal, canada. since the release of his first album in 2011, wade has garnered attention for his unique brand of hazy, rhythmic, soul-styled creations, and energetic live spectacles featuring a slough of live instrumentation, electronics and guest performers. after the release 2015 s acclaimed single people lp and a brief stint with london s black butter records, dhb partnered with brooklyn based bastard jazz recordings for his premiere vinyl pressing - the fall 2016 release of bad hopes ep. bad hopes is the culmination of a new, fully realized sonic direction for dead horse beats, inspired by the sounds of the montreal scene in which dhb is embedded, equal parts glittering r&b, and undeniable deep house inspired soundscapes, fusing fully on bad hopes, alongside friends and collaborators frase (vocals on she said) and jason simpkin (additional production and instrumentation throughout) dhb blends his voice and lyrics with bassy grooves, lush synths and sharp, angular percussion into a cohesive, rolling soundscape.

copenhagen-based imprint ectotherm returns with “ingen tak til systemet” from local gem, rune bagge. the ep features four diverse cuts ranging from drum’n’bass-leaning idm to straight, floor-filling techno. as a dj, bagge has been a part of the dk scene for years, providing dancefloors with heavy and crunched up percussive sounds, which he continues with this ep as his debut solo production effort.
