british producer pris preps his sophomore ep for avian. love, labour, loss marks the berlin-based producer’s second outing on guy brewer’s avian label, and a further refinement of a production aesthetic that pitches caustic, heads down tool techno & greyscale idm against more meditative ambient & drone recordings.

resin label head & avian affiliate pris launches unbeknown white label series. pris offers up a floor-focused five tracker, hot on the heels of his debut on shifted’s avian imprint. where -this heavy heart- explored a more subdued aesthetic: tense, widescreen exercises in drone & reduced, heads-down club fare, unbeknown01 is fiery & immediate. three rolling 4x4 recordings open the ep, followed by a brooding half time dirge that segues into a noisy ambient cut to close

various artists pt.2 follows on from 2014’s storming rsn002 printed insert included great dj support – see below… “various artists pt.2” follows on from 2014’s rsn002, lead by a storming track from bleaching agent and introduced the like of divided and manse. part 2 follows brings the same energy with four sterling tracks. ‘serial experiment 1’ by unklone kicks things off in full force with a pulsating lead that ebbs and flows, glittered with enchanting cries. ‘silence coloured in’ delves into a deeper side of myler s sound, melding mystical synths over a clattering beat. ‘pass’ sees pris return with a driving track molded for the dance floor that builds and releases tension throughout. ‘untitled 1’ shows chicago flotation device at their very best, taking the listener on a journey through an analogue wasteland.

for a better understanding’ sees the return of resin label head, pris with three tracks that delve deeper into the hypnotic sides of techno. the a side features two tracks that tread subterranean ground, each exploring differing sounds, the bright and the dark, whilst the listener is taken on a voyage across the b side with ‘devil in the detail’, a percussive drum track at its core that ebbs and flows throughout.
